I admit I bought it because Fragrantica compares it to the famous BR540… well, I wanted to see where the scent profile was going, so I ordered it blind. I don’t know if it’s my skin, or if it was defective, which I doubt… the only clear thing is that it smells like nothing! Not on paper, not on skin, not on clothes… OMG, what a disappointment. A while back I saw a YouTube video where a girl said the BR540 didn’t smell like anything on her skin. Could it be the same story with this? Will it need warmer weather to emerge? I’ll give it more chances to see if the miracle somehow happens 🙁
And the miracle happened… I probably suffered from olfactory fatigue, or as Allan27880 says, the perfume needed oxidation. Now I finally smell its aroma. The opening smells quite medicinal, which I don’t like, but after about 10 minutes, the story changes. It has a very special sweetness; I’m used to vanilla sweetness, so this surprised me, it’s a distinct floral sweetness unlike anything I own. It projects quite well on my skin for the first few hours, then stays for personal enjoyment. Buy blind, approved!
Bought it and upon spraying on my skin, I felt a scent so soft and light that it reminded me of Cloud by Ariana. Since I already own that, I tested it on blotter paper alongside Cloud; Cloud is much more potent in the opening, and the resemblance is very subtle, something like sugar and orchid. This perfume has nothing but a musky note, even creamy, though they don’t list it. I sprayed it and it’s very soft, barely noticeable. It’s from 2021; I’m not sure if I need to let it mature. I left it longer and it became creamy but stayed close to the skin. I’ll keep it for a while to see how it performs. It’s rich; if it were more potent, I’d call it delicious and elegant. I don’t know the Bacarat Rouge 540, but I do know Cloud: there’s a very faint resemblance. Cloud is more youthful, while Rosewood Amor is creamier and less sweet.
Bought it because it looked like the BR540, and what a pleasant surprise: it’s amazing. It does resemble it, but I’d say it’s like a BR540 with a touch of Burberry Her. I simply love it! I have a ton of BR540 dupes, and this has definitely become one of my favorites. The sillage is moderate, not a beast, and the longevity isn’t great either, but for the price, it’s worth every penny! Love at first sniff.
