From the 2022 Collezione Riservata line, it’s basically an Aventus without the pineapple or the citrus, though it does leave that subtle, sweet mango note as it dries. The soft leather and oud base give it body and masculinity without losing its aromatic freshness. Since I haven’t tried the Zara Vibrant Leather dupe, I can’t compare it objectively, but this Midnight Hour EDP (same as the Icon Collection) projects a lot and has great sillage, which is a plus. For about an hour, it releases a rich, cheerful, and optimistic scent, perfect for mild or cloudy days and warm summer nights. As it dries, it gets sexier thanks to the leather and oud. Even though it’s an EDP, the performance is more like a standard EDT; the brand prioritizes scent over longevity, but you can forgive them for that. Recommended? Yes, give it a try. In the store, I thought it was a letdown, just another Aventus, but smelling it on the blotter convinced me, and I bought it; the sales staff were thrilled with its performance. Without diminishing the hyped Club de Nuit Intense, this is a great option to have in your collection. I suppose there might be other better oriental scents or dupes, but I’m happy with this Banana. The packaging is high quality, 75ml bottles for under $30, made in the USA. Banana Republic continues to do a great job with quality and accessible prices. I’ve already tried Dark Cherry and have Black Platinum at home, both are excellent, and the Vintage Green is a real treat.

From the 2022 Collezione Riservata line: it’s an Aventus without pineapple, almost no citrus, but with a mango that leaves a soft, pleasant sweetness as it dries, plus a leather and oud base that adds body and masculinity without sacrificing freshness. Since I haven’t tried the Zara Vibrant Leather or other dupes for an objective comparison, I’m not sure if it’s one of the best, but this Midnight Hour EDP (same as the Icon Collection) projects a lot and has great sillage, which is a plus.
