The box promises rose, raspberry, and peach, just like the Souffle Apaisant, though Fragantica says it’s peony. Either way, it opens with an aquatic rose identical to the Rose flanker. Unlike the Rose, this Souffle Euphorisant lacks pink pepper and patchouli, and those are notes I really miss. It’s a very watery version of the original. I smell a bit of peach and sandalwood, but barely. This combination reminds me of mayonnaise—something acidic and oily that just doesn’t work. It has no projection and lasts about two hours. I bought it at 50 percent off, and even then, I don’t think it’s worth it. Oh well, what a shame, because the Rose and Souffle Apaisant are so lovely.
