  I already reviewed this before: although it doesn’t last on the skin, on clothes it’s a different story. It leaves a soft, citrusy, and green scent that can even hang around longer.

  I’m very disappointed, as usually happens with this brand. It lasts nothing, not even in summer. It smells like cheap detergent-bitter lemon, with no notes of rose, geranium, or verbena. Is it worth €50 if you have to douse yourself to make it last two hours? There’s a verbena by Yves Rocher for €12 that smells the same, lasts longer, and is less lemony. Better try the Yves Rocher one. I prefer the yellow citrus verbena or the summer edition with mint, though both still last a short time and cost a fortune.

  Citronella in a bottle: rough, vinegary, and salty. It numbs your tongue like chewing bitter lemon leaves, and by the end, you’ll want to down a liter of limoncello. It doesn’t smell like lemon balm; it’s pure lemon with the texture of a yellow summer candle meant to scare off mosquitoes.

  Right after you apply it, it smells super strong, like lemon air freshener. Once I wore it fresh, people asked if I’d sprayed bug repellent. Another time, they looked at me weird and asked what I smelled like. It’s true that once the initial citrus blast passes, the essence transforms and for a while you’re immersed in a Mediterranean field with all its scents. The bad part is that this countryside journey is very short: in less than an hour, you smell nothing. I see it as a perfume that’s way too expensive for such poor longevity.

  There’s nothing to say about this perfume except that it smells like lemon, but a bad one, like an air freshener. After half an hour, I can’t smell it on my skin anymore, and you have to reapply it constantly if you want to catch the scent. Sometimes it even gives me a headache; my husband thinks it smells better, fresh and citrusy, so I think I’ll give it to him since it just doesn’t convince me. Plus, the price is high considering the poor quality… a real letdown.

  Fresh and pleasant fragrance, special for summer, which I searched for a long time since they don’t carry the line in my country. Finally got it, but it was a disappointment: not because of the scent, but due to insignificant longevity and sillage. After half an hour, nothing is detectable. Excessive price for the performance.

  I agree with the reviews. I can’t believe it: L’Occitane’s flagship scent has been reduced to a Mercadona room freshener. It smells like cheap, invasive, heavy lemon. It doesn’t even feel fresh. If you want something similar, go for 4711—it’s much cheaper and better done. From L’Occitane, what truly smells exquisite is their makeup remover oil, an addiction. Very disappointed with this perfume and the poor presentation of the Provenza line.

  I agree with the reviews. I can’t believe the flagship L’Occitane perfume is this Mercadona air freshener. It smells like cheap, invasive, and cloying lemon—not even fresh. If you want something like this, go for 4711; it’s cheaper and better made. From L’Occitane, what smells exquisite is their makeup remover oil, a true addiction. Very disappointed with this perfume and Provenza’s poor debut.

  Absurdly expensive eau de toilette for what it offers. I had it in 2012; it smells good and is fresh, but it doesn’t last or project at all. There are better, cheaper options in citrus and aromatic waters with verbena. Not worth it or the money.
