I grabbed a decant of Pure Mariposa and my first thought was: wow, what a delight, fireworks, a summer treat. Since I love beach perfumes, I expected coconut, but it’s not there; the fig gives it that high-end sunscreen aquatic vibe. I was fascinated—it reminds me a bit of Mancera’s Holidays, not identical, but if you like those scents, you’ll love it. The longevity and sillage are incredible, leaving you on a paradise island. I’d buy the 50ml without hesitation.
Monegal’s best for me. Evokes a pond surrounded by flowers and butterflies in the late spring of a dream. Light yet powerful, sweet but fresh. A fragrance full of possible contradictions thanks to a complex, thoughtful formulation. Aquatic + sweet = perfection.
