  • This perfume, being so trendy, isn’t getting the credit it deserves. It’s fresh, summery, clean, rich, and cheap! The freesia and top notes dominate, happily neutralizing the sandalwood. It seems like a more feminine version of the unisex CK ONE by Calvin Klein. It’s a ready-to-wear, urban, and cosmopolitan fragrance that can be worn all day (reapplying due to its short longevity). I used it until I switched to L’eau by Kenzo, which follows that line but with a more refined twist. It reminds me of naïve paintings with its innocent, simple, ethereal, and colorful projection, without any harshness.

  • I used it a few years ago at university, ideal for everyday wear. It’s citrusy, fresh, and soft, nothing shocking. The only downside is that it doesn’t last, max two or three hours, which is a pity. Still, I recommend it because it’s very economical.

  • Since it’s toilet water, it doesn’t last long. It was one of my first perfumes; after taking a break and trying to use it again, the scent now repulses me; it feels too strong.

  • carolina1982

I love it; it’s fresh and woody, not at all overwhelming. It’s cheap, but I feel it doesn’t last long on the skin; you need to reapply several times a day.

  • One of my first perfumes as a teenager. Smells young, clean, floral, and fresh, perfect for summer. Ideal for gifting to a girl just starting to explore the world of fragrances.

  • It’s a fresh, citrusy option with a floral touch. I’d say unisex, depending on skin pH. I compare it to CK One; it lasts about 5 hours. The trail is moderate depending on how much you apply. It’s great for spring-summer: work, beach, or hanging out with friends. It’s not opulent or elegant, but informal and casual, yet it doesn’t offend or clash. I recommend it for young people who are moving past the sweet scents of their teen years. It’s economical, long-lasting, and everyone likes it. A classic for any occasion. I’ve used it several times, would buy it again, and in fact, I gifted it a couple of times and the recipients were thrilled.

  • I tried it and it’s delicious; I think it’s quite unisex, not just for women. Plus, I believe any fresh fragrance like this for summer is unisex.

  • Nice cologne; I’ve been using it since the 90s because my mom loved it, and I still pick it up sometimes (it’s still on the market). Smells clean, fresh, citrusy, and formal, with decent longevity: not hours, but it lingers on skin and clothes.

  • Chispilla81

A super affordable fragrance that instantly transports me back to the 90s when it was everywhere. Perfect for spring and summer with its fresh, citrusy, and clean scent; it’s a versatile staple for any age and day-to-day wear, from running errands or going for a stroll to wearing at the office without being intrusive. I see it as feminine with an elegant touch thanks to the magnolia, which, though not the main note, adds class. Great value for money: as a toilet water, it lasts about six hours with a one-and-a-half-hour projection, which is more than acceptable for its freshness. I’d put this on Agent Scully from X-Files; it’s perfect for a 90s series, feminine yet all-terrain for any moment, even in enclosed spaces. The opening is citrusy with grapefruit, orange, and tamarind; as it dries down, you notice the freesia and magnolia, a slight spicy touch of pepper and cardamom, and a base of sandalwood. Imagine a bowl with chunks of grapefruit, orange, and tamarind, adorned with freesia and magnolia flowers, seasoned with pepper and cardamom, and bathed in sandalwood. If you like fresh, feminine, non-intrusive citrus scents and are looking for something budget-friendly, this is an excellent all-rounder.

  • Very good. I’ve used several small bottles and would buy it a thousand times over. It brings back beautiful memories and reminds me of DKNY.

  • They gave me this fragrance, and it’s one of the ones that suited me best. It smells elegant, fresh, and enveloping; it would even work well for a man. Fresh at first and spicy for the rest of the day, it has great longevity and becomes subtle throughout the day in an exquisite way. I’d choose it again for the scent and its versatility.

  • I discovered this in the 90s and used it a lot; it gave me energy, vitality, and confidence, so much so that it even pushed me to move. I stopped using it then, but in 2020, during the lockdown, I desperately searched for a fragrance that would make me feel good. I had an urgent need to find ‘The’ scent, and I turned down Pret a Porter several times until I thought: why not? I tried a few until I decided. If I could help someone, I’d say I chose it again and I have no regrets. It gave me that energy, vitality, and comfort I loved before. I fell in love all over again: it lasts over 6 hours on my skin, and since it’s accessible, you can wear it without holding back. That fresh opening that smells like a bouquet of flowers, then settles into something special and enveloping without being intrusive. It’s unforgettable.

  • It was one of my first fragrances as a teenager. I wore it at night, and the next day, the scent was still on my skin and clothes (even in my hair when I didn’t shower properly). I remember it as feminine but leaning unisex. The opening is citrusy, and as it dries down, it leaves a spicy, woody trail. Back then, I thought that for being so cheap, it had more personality than my friends’ perfumes.

  • FlordeLis

Fresh and pleasant fragrance at a very affordable price. I’ve loved it since I was little and use it a lot in the summer. It’s a must-have for me.

  • Feversupernova55.

I used to have yellow Adidas deodorants, and this perfume has that same vibe. It’s perfect for the office: it lasts, you notice it, but it doesn’t overwhelm. It’s ‘corporate’ and the price is a joke. It’s my first bottle, and when this one runs out, I’ll buy another without a second thought.

  • I first wore this when I was 16. A friend got it first and used it all the time. Today, seeing it at the drugstore for under 5 euros for 50ml, I didn’t hesitate to buy it. As soon as I sprayed it, those memories came flooding back—her handkerchief or her borrowed jacket on chilly mornings. It smells fresh, clean, and pleasant, perfect for summer. It’s young and simple, but my memories make it perfect just like that summer we discovered it. It starts with grapefruit, then a sweet citrus blend with orange, and finishes with white flowers and plenty of pepper. It reminds me of Treselle or Perceive by Avon, though it’s not the same. The cardamomo is barely noticeable. Over time, it becomes creamier, though the sandalwood isn’t very prominent. The sillage is moderate and lasts 5-6 hours. For the price, you can’t ask for more. I love reliving that era. I’ll add it to my collection. Scent: 7.5/10, Longevity: 5.5/10, Sillage: 7/10, Value: 9/10, Packaging: 3/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

  • locadelosperfumes

Floral aroma with citrus notes, very 90s style, like Calvin Klein One. I used to wear it in college, but the longevity was really short.

  • What a beautiful fragrance! It’s super fresh, musky, and floral, with a spicy kick from pepper and nutmeg that gives it personality. It smells clean but rich, not soapy. On my skin, it’s citrusy and feminine, not unisex like they claim. It’s ideal for daily wear and versatile: great for hanging out with friends, outdoor dates, or even work. It’s not intrusive; it boosts my energy and mood. In Argentina, it’s cheap and lasts about 5-6 hours. Plus, I shared it with my mom, so it holds a special place for me. I recommend it 100%!

  • I almost bumped into the Mercadona manager just to test the Pret a Porter sample. What a nostalgia trip to my younger years; back then, it looked so chic. Now, it smells citrusy and fresh, perfect for summer. It lasted all afternoon, and I woke up with the scent still in my hair. Such a bargain—I’m thinking about buying the bottle.

  • Gemasevilla

For me, it’s a citrus with a woody touch. Very different from other citrus scents I’ve smelled before. It has body.

  • Prêt à Porter was a sung gift I received for my birthday or Christmas, dates very close together. It announced summer, an ideal season to use it. At first, I didn’t like it much; it reminded me of the legendary CK One, which isn’t my thing, but it had a tiny feminine touch I appreciated. Over time, that potent, spicy citrus won my heart. It lasted more than three hours on my skin, a triumph because my pH loves to annihilate fragrances. Today I consider buying it again; its price is incredible for what it offers. It lifts spirits and is a great companion on hot days. The three B’s, no doubt.

  • I suspect Prêt à Porter gets its name from the Robert Altman movie because the font on the poster is suspiciously similar. The film is from 1994 and the EDT came out in 1996, so for me, it’s clear. Let’s be realistic: the bottle doesn’t reflect the movie’s glamour or pretentiousness; it’s just a major brand knock-off. The only thing that was a visual pleasure was the intro scene with Marcello Mastroianni in the Dior store in Moscow with Poison and Dune bottles. The bottle doesn’t do it justice; it speaks of supermarket shelves, where it’s mostly found now. However, Prêt à Porter is like those overqualified people whose excellence doesn’t call attention because they aren’t dressed to the nines, and when they speak, they show they’re above average. It’s an EDT that surpasses expectations given its appearance and price. I’m fascinated by the tamarind: before closing the Marks & Spencer stores in Spain, I bought a soap from their brand with that bitter citrus aroma with a sweet wink close to quince. Prêt à Porter opens with bitter citrus and pepper. Sounds bad, right? The result is spectacular and exultantly optimistic. The spices take the lead over sandalwood and the base moss, which is not intrusive, though the latter adds an earthy air as it dries. The flowers hover over the ensemble and stay hidden, highlighting the violet leaf and roses as they dry. Prêt à Porter proves to be a child of its time: citrus, pepper, and flowers. More 90s, impossible. Excuse me for this comment, probably sacrilegious, but I find it more interesting and multifaceted than CK One, and in performance, it beats it hands down. I have it on at 2:40 PM, put it on at 8:00 AM, smell it while writing, and it lasts days on clothes. As for versatility, except for night events, it works for both casual and formal wear. Looks great with jeans or a suit, for the office, shopping, movies, the gym, or outdoors. Few environments resist it, and it’s tremendously adaptable. And it still enjoys appreciation because that’s what a well-made perfume has. As usually happens, we don’t know who created it. How unfair.

  • I use it for workouts since it doesn’t last more than an hour on my skin and has zero projection. I bought it because they said it projected; maybe the 90s versions did, but these reformulations are nowhere near that.

  • My older sister used to wear it for a while, and I loved it. Then, in Argentina, I stopped seeing it in perfumeries. To my surprise, I found it again a few weeks ago at a popular drugstore in Córdoba. I stocked up for summer so I’ll be richly scented in my daily office life. It’s not tiring, has a citrus touch but not purely citrus, with an almost perfect combination of soft flowers that makes it delicate. Very wearable, fresh, and recommended. It never fails.

  • Very 90s perfume, from the CK and unisex era. It’s a sharp, energizing citrus, ideal for scorching hot days.

  • An accessible cologne that follows the path of the innovative perfumes of the era with an identity of ethereal, effervescent cleanliness. It reminds me of CK for its soap-free, pure oxygen aura. For lovers of that aseptic cleaning juice that is Calvin Klein’s Eau.

  • Pilar_Ternera

Prêt à Porter, the fragrance that dressed you! If I remember correctly, that’s what the TV ad said with a lady getting ready. Maybe the slogan suggested something more enveloping, but it’s a daily citrus and fresh scent perfect for the heat. Besides CK One, it reminds me of Adolfo Domínguez’s Bamboo Water and his discontinued Green Tea; both share notes like freesia, cardamom, and oakmoss. Clean, not musky, with good longevity and a soft sillage, it brings that pleasant aura. It’s very unisex, and if it’s already cheap at Mercadona, Amazon has it at a steal. Totally worth it.

  • José Antonio Ayuste

Even though it’s marketed as feminine, I’ve never had any hesitation admitting that for many years it’s been part of my core collection. And it will stay there until my last day on this earth. I enjoy it in absolute intimacy. From time to time, I spray a couple of shots on the back of my hand, close my eyes, and my mind automatically transports me back to my adolescence. In those moments, nostalgia washes over me as I reconnect with happiness for a few minutes. Because yes. Because Prêt à Porter was the fragrance most teenagers wore in the late 90s. It was the scent of that girl you really liked and who you desperately wanted to see all the time, even though in her presence your legs turned to jelly and your stomach shrank to the size of a grain of rice. Because Prêt à Porter was the fragrance of the girl you kissed for the first time that starry summer night on a dark park bench, right at the moment you felt the world crumbling beneath your feet. You can wear fragrances purely out of melancholy, simply to remember eras or people who marked your life and made you happy. Regardless of gender or age. Regardless of the fact that the happiness you felt in those moments has slowly unwound over time until you realize nothing will ever be the same again.

  • It has a spicy opening, but then settles into a blend of citrus and florals. It’s very lovely for summer. Ideal for those of us who want to step away from super sweet perfumes without going full unisex.

  • Silviavivi

I keep buying it whenever I see it and I’ve lost count of the bottles I’ve used since it launched (and since I discovered it). I feel like this fragrance still maintains its original spirit despite some reformulations. It’s clean, transparent, with a spicy, citrusy, and sharp opening and a woody dry down. A classic. Ideal for hot and humid days (though I confess I wear it year-round). As for projection and longevity, it obviously depends on each person’s skin pH… on me, it performs excellently.

  • Vampyrella

I haven’t used this one, but I did try another from the same brand, the Paris. Personally, it was delicious and addictive, lasting hours on my skin and clothes. I wanted to try Tokyo but it didn’t have good staying power.

  • Citrusy at first, then turns into spiced florals after a few hours. It’s clean and citrusy but has body. Used to the current invasion of vanilla and sweet perfumes for women, this reminds me of men’s fragrances. I like this EDT, its concept, and the sense of modernity it conveys, but it’s a 90s kind of modernity—cool girls heading to the office in minimalist suits and kitten heels. And then out for happy hour with their equally cool, cosmopolitan friends. It also reminds me of Madonna’s ‘Vogue’ song. It’s an energizing fragrance that adds dynamism, yet remains clean and polished. These days, it fits a ‘clean girl’ aesthetic perfectly: white tee, oversized black blazer, wide-leg jeans, black kitten heels, hair neatly tied up in a bun, glowing and clear skin. Perfect for daily wear. You can find 100ml for around 10 euros. Not bad at all. Turns out they have an entire collection of cities, but here on Fragrantica they don’t seem to be listed? Tokyo, New York, Berlin, Milan, Paris. Around 12 euros each. I’d love to try them but I don’t know where! They don’t seem to be available at Primor or Druni.

  • I just saw that this Prêt à Porter is listed as ‘discontinued’… WHAT??? I’m in total despair. I’m going to stock up today.

  • I started using this EDT a couple of years ago because an older woman in my family gifted it to me, and I didn’t want to be ungrateful. At first, I didn’t love it because it wasn’t my style (I usually go for gourmands and sweet scents), but after a week of wearing it, I started feeling really drawn to it. The sillage isn’t huge, but it ended up being a very pleasant everyday perfume: fresh, interesting, and clean… it reminded me of the perfumes the ‘cool girls’ wore when I was a kid. I grew so attached to it that I eventually bought a second bottle, even though I initially said I didn’t like it. It brings back some really nice memories.

  • I tried this when I was 11 and haven’t touched it since until I saw a video recommending this EDT. I bought it on Amazon because of the price, but I think I’ll return it; even though it’s cheap, it’ll just take up space… it’s a product of its time and to my nose, it smells outdated and, above all, sad (for me). I can see myself again with a backpack on my shoulder, full of apathy waiting for recess, lol. If you like it, enjoy it; it’s a very clean scent, though to me it has a slight lacquer vibe, maybe it has aldehydes.

  • A timeless classic. Citrusy and floral, it’s fresh and simple—those kinds that never fail but still have their own signature. I’ve worn it for years and it always works for me.
