  • AMAZING!!! An impressive job by Zara, unbeatable price/quality. It’s a delight, the classic rose-oud combo taken to absolute elegance. The roses are incredibly noticeable, and the oud is soft and pleasant, with a slight acidic note that makes it addictive. Very elegant and classy; it could easily pass for a niche fragrance. Would I buy it again? YES, YES, and YES. For me, it’s an almost guaranteed blind buy, though for untrained noses, it might be better to try it first. Longevity on my skin is over 12 hours, projecting well for about 6, and then close to the skin it’s perceptible for hours.

  • I tried it for the first time today and I must say, it smells very much of roses with oud to me (those are the notes that dominate for me), and it has felt quite powdery. Basically, my mother loves powdery perfumes, and when she smelled it, she said it smelled like sweet talc. Indeed, it reminds me quite a bit of Flower by Kenzo. As for me, it’s not a scent that fascinates me; I’m not a huge fan of all-rose perfumes, but I acknowledge that its longevity and projection are good in terms of quality and price. Anyone who loves this type of aroma will love it as much as my mother does. I’d recommend it for any weather; it seems versatile for both heat and cold and performs very well. It’s fairly linear, so don’t fear that you won’t like its dry-down, as it smells the same throughout (which doesn’t bother me if I’m fascinated by a perfume). I have to admit it’s a great job by Zara to create such wonderful and universally appealing perfumes at such a good price. Of the three I’ve heard from this line (I’m still missing Endless Oud), my favorite remains Bohemian Oud for its aroma.

  • A very elegant rose-oud combo; it looks like a much more expensive fragrance and dresses you up. I admit I don’t like the opening, but once the perfume settles, it changes completely. Don’t judge it by the first impression. Good longevity and moderate sillage.

  • Tried it! It’s rich—a sweet, vanilla-tinged rose, very gourmand Rose style. If you already have it, you don’t need another, but if you don’t, I highly recommend it: it’s a must-have for cold weather. It’s comforting, feels like a hug, and projects really well. Another great fragrance from Zara.

  • Tested. Rich, sweet vanilla-rose, type Rose Gourmand. If you already have it, you don’t need this. If not, I recommend it; it’s a scent you should have for cold occasions, it’s comforting, it hugs you, and it projects very well. Another great fragrance from Zara.

  • This is the most powdery perfume I’ve ever smelled 😦. The intensity of the roses reminds me a lot of Mancera’s Roses Vanille but super powdery and less sweet. It smells like my grandmother to me 🙁

I have to keep testing it, but I’m still thrilled with the Essential Oud by Natura. On my skin, it doesn’t last almost at all. I’m undecided and will let you know if I keep it or sell it. Another sweet oud with roses that isn’t mentioned often is the 5th Avenue Royale by Elizabeth Arden; it also doesn’t last long, about 4 or 5 hours, but it’s gorgeous and beautiful. One of my favorites.

Oud perfume for the beautiful girl, perfect if you’re just starting out with oud fragrances. I bought it blind because Chapter 4 isn’t available in physical stores yet, and based on the notes, this was the one that caught my eye. Good luck! It’s been a total winner that has completely won me over, especially because it’s so wearable. It has a modern, youthful, and cheerful vibe, feeling more casual than other oud perfumes. It’s versatile enough for everyday wear, even for work. It’s intense but not overwhelming—very refined, delicate, and supremely feminine with a perfectly balanced gourmand touch. It’s fairly linear despite having many notes, but I think that’s a plus for this specific scent. The roses from Rose Gourmand are incredibly delicate but less sweet, paired with a clean, woody, and soft oud, with a leather presence that adds body and depth without dominating, giving it an amazing style. It’s warm, woody, and ambered, truly gorgeous. The longevity is more than acceptable, lasting over six hours with a noticeable trail, yet I insist it’s not intrusive—you’ll definitely get compliments, and the price is fantastic; if I was told it was from a designer brand costing five times more, I’d believe it given the high quality. In fact, I tried Jo Malone’s Universal Oud several times, which is available in stores, but it’s not as versatile, feminine, or captivating as this, nor does it last as long on the skin. That said, it reminded me a lot of Guerlain’s Les Absolus d’Orient Oud Essentiel, which is drier and more unisex than Perpetual Oud and less seductive; I liked it too, but it didn’t make me fall in love, whereas I prefer to keep coming back to Perpetual Oud. Edit: It lasts 6 hours in bubble mode, softening gradually and reaching up to 10 hours on the skin—it’s a bomb. If I apply it in the morning for evening wear, the whole room and even the bed sheets smell amazing; it’s impressive.

A ‘pretty girl’ oud, said in the best way possible. It’s perfect for getting into oud fragrances. I bought it blind because Chapter 4 scents don’t carry to physical stores, and this was the one that caught my eye the most; lucky me! It has been a total winner that has completely won me over. It’s very wearable, modern, youthful, and informal, versatile for everyday wear or work. It’s intense but not invasive, refined, delicate, and feminine with just the right gourmand touch. It’s fairly linear, but I like it. It carries delicate, less sweet rose notes from Rose Gourmand, accompanied by a clean, woody, soft oud and a present leather note that gives it body. It’s warm, woody, and ambered; simply gorgeous. It lasts over six hours with a noticeable sillage but without being overwhelming; you’re sure to get compliments, and the price is excellent. If I were told it was from a designer brand costing five times more, I’d believe it. I tested it several times against Jo Malone’s Universal Oud, which isn’t as versatile, feminine, or long-lasting, and it reminded me of Guerlain’s Les Absolus d’Orient Oud Essentiel, which is drier and less seductive. I’d rather repeat with this one. Edit: It lasts six hours as a bubble, softens, and reaches ten hours on skin. It’s a bomb; if I apply it in the morning for the afternoon, it smells the whole room and my bedding.

  • A very wearable rose and oud combo for everyone. Nothing loud, dirty, or animalic; it’s perfect for beginners exploring oriental scents. The performance is more than good for the price you pay.

I had this on my wishlist, but after trying it today, I don’t think it’s worth it. I already own Sheikh Al Shuyukh, which has a very similar opening but is much more potent than the Zara version and evolves into a caramel scent that this one lacks. Perpetual Oud is an ultra-light version of all these fragrances that mimic Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet. There are better options out there, but if you don’t have those specific aromas on your skin, the Zara one is a great starting point because it’s so soft.

  • danapetalorojo

It smells like that bouquet of dried roses with a touch of oud on my skin. Very rich, very natural, and full of personality.

  • I went to Zara to try something new and PERPETUAL OUD caught me off guard; it’s the freshest in their collection with oud, powerful but not overwhelming. Smells like delicate roses with amber. It dries slowly, like an oil that takes time to settle, and after 8 hours it’s very soft. I see it as good for wearing at night in autumn. I loved it and took it home, exactly what I was looking for that day 🙂

  • I went to Zara looking for another perfume and was pleasantly surprised by Perpetual Oud. To my taste, it’s the freshest oud aroma in this collection. Although it’s potent, it’s not irritating or overwhelming to me. It features delicate rose notes blended with oud and amber. I sprayed it on my wrist and noticed a very slow dry-down, leaving a kind of oil on the skin that takes time to absorb; I could still smell the very soft scent after 8 hours. I think it’s a wearable but nighttime fragrance, perfect for fall. I loved it and bought it instead of what I originally came for.

  • I really loved it, I think it might become my everyday perfume. You can wear it every day. Smells like sweet oud with roses, perfect for daytime and even work, impeccable quality/price.

  • I absolutely loved it; I think it has the potential to become my signature scent. It’s a perfect everyday fragrance. It feels like a sweet oud with roses, and I loved wearing it during the day, even at work. Excellent price-to-quality ratio.

  • karugervazoni

I went with the good reviews and failed; I bought blindly and didn’t like it. On my skin it smells very masculine and strong. It has a vibe similar to Rose Gourmand (which I adore) but it’s more powdery and dusty. It’s my first oud and I also sensed some spice. It has good longevity, but I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • karugervazoni

I went with the flow based on the good reviews and fell for it, but unfortunately, I got unlucky with this blind buy. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to my liking. On my skin, it feels very masculine. It’s strong. It has an air of Rose Gourmand (which I love), but it’s more powdery and dusty. It’s the first perfume with oud I’ve tried, and I must say I also detected some spice. I’ll note that it has good longevity, but I don’t recommend it for blind buys.

  • marinalazo92

I absolutely love this fragrance. I bought it blind for my birthday and it was a total hit. Although I’ll probably wear it more in cooler weather since it’s quite heavy, I detect lots of rose, oud, and leather… it’s sweet and dries down similarly to Rose Gourmand but with that woody note I adore. It has excellent longevity and sillage. When I wear it, I keep smelling my wrist because I’m so fascinated by its scent and performance hour after hour. I’m very happy with this Zara line; I own Red Temptation, Golden Decade, Rose Gourmand, and Perpetual Oud, none of which disappoint, and they hold their own against any designer fragrance.

  • Roses and oud for everyone. Powerful and projecting. It reminds me a lot of Guerlain’s Santal Royal, which is my holy grail, and it doesn’t hold back on performance either. Incredible quality for the price. If you like the rose/oud combo, give it a try. Highly recommended.

  • Josi Schatz

I’m not an expert on perfumes and I’ve never smelled oud on its own to know if it’s noticeable here. But the roses mixed with patchouli and leather definitely come through—they’re a delight. Plus, it has excellent sillage and projection, especially for the price. I absolutely love it.

  • Maria_Osella

Excellent fragrance. They say it’s a dupe for Tom Ford’s Rose Prick, right? Does anyone know? I’m a huge fan of the Zara CHAPTER line: Rose Gourmand, Red Temptation, Amber Fusion, Golden Decade, Sublime Époque, and this one. It lasts over 10 hours and is powerful with great sillage and projection, just how I like it.

  • It really pushes me out of my comfort zone. Roses have never been my strong suit, but I absolutely love this one. It’s woody roses—very elegant, feminine, and versatile. I say feminine because that’s how I feel when I wear it, but I also tried it on my husband and it looks spectacular on him. It lasts quite a while; just be mindful of the sprays since it’s potent. I reapply because I love it, not because it fades quickly. The best part is the dry-down: woody, classic, and clean. Flawless. I recommend trying it before buying. I tested it with low expectations because Rose Gourmand had been overwhelming me (a very sweet rose, at least on my skin), but this isn’t sweet at all. It goes for woody, leather, and musk. I’d definitely buy it again.

  • Absolutely fascinating this Perpetual Oud. It’s a low-cost fragrance that rivals niche scents like Oud Satin Mood by Francis Kurkdjian. It features that classic rose and oud combo so common in Arabian perfumery, but with brutal elegance. Notes of saffron, amber, leather, and vetiver round it out. I think the secret lies in the vetiver, which amplifies the delicacy of the rose and the sophistication of the oud, making it one of the best, if not the absolute best, from Zara.
