  Southern Bloom is my quintessential floral fragrance: natural, amazing, and featuring flowers that truly shine. The Boronia takes the lead, a new flower for me that smells like orchid, followed by a powdery iris with a makeup-like touch (think Dior Homme, not the fresh Iris des Champs). The jasmine adds a great dirty character, and although rare, I detect something honeyed, likely from the ylang-ylang with coconut and blackberry. The opening is dense and intense; it would definitely be one of my favorites. However, after half an hour, it becomes subtle and soft with very short projection. The longevity is good but not beastly, making it ideal for warm, daytime wear. It’s totally unisex, but for men who fear florals, please avoid it!   Southern Bloom is my ultimate fragrance, a spectacular and very natural floral. The flowers truly shine, with the Boronia standing out, smelling like orchid in the blend. Next comes a rich iris, more powdery with a makeup vibe like Dior Homme rather than fresh. The jasmine gives it a wonderful dirty edge. The unusual thing is that I notice honey, probably from the ylang-ylang with coconut and blackberry. The opening is amazing—dense and intense, surely one of my favorites. Then, after half an hour, it turns subtle and soft with very short projection. Longevity is good but not beastly, so I see it as perfect for warm days and daytime wear.   Southern Bloom is a tropical floral standout, featuring brown boronia—an Australian flower that blooms only a few weeks a year, a true treasure. I’ve never smelled that note before, though there’s something my nose can’t quite identify. At first, it didn’t win me over: it opens with a powerful, loud floral bouquet with a bitter twist from the cassis that didn’t excite me. But within minutes, it softens and each note comes alive. The boronia feels intense and sweet, yet balanced by a citrus-bitter edge. The iris takes center stage, starting powdery before turning creamy, paired with jasmine. The coconut is natural and subtle on my skin; I’d love for it to shine a bit more. In the dry-down, amber and woody notes emerge, with the Goldfield & Banks sandalwood standing out—fresh and cheerful. Despite its density, it keeps a clean, crisp quality I appreciate. It feels sophisticated, perfect for semi-formal occasions. It’s an unconventional floral, not for everyone, and likely leans more feminine, but nothing delicate or powdery. Projection is high for the first 2–3 hours with notable longevity of 6–8 hours before settling to skin scent. Overall, it’s unique, natural, and elegant. However, there’s a sharp edge that stops me from buying it for now. I recognize the effort and originality, so I invite you to try it. Plus, I’ve read that many people absolutely love it.
