  It smells like those loud designer perfumes that are annoying, like Scandal. I don’t like it at all; it smells like the typical young guy in track pants walking down the street leaving a trail of these modern, tacky, nauseating, and ultra-synthetic scents with no artistry, made just to appeal to a very young audience. A huge disappointment since I adore this house. But I’m starting to get used to it because niche perfumery has died; it’s all about price now. It’s really hard to find refined, artistic new releases.

  I love how the fig and mint blend in this fragrance. There’s a hint of caramel as it dries down that makes it very cozy. It feels modern, high-quality, and long-lasting with a moderate but sufficient sillage. Perfect for autumn evenings or nights. Highly recommended.

I don’t like it at all; it smells like the typical young guy in sweatpants you cross paths with on the street, leaving a trail of these modern, tacky, nauseating, and ultra-synthetic scents with no artistry, made just to appeal to a very young crowd. A huge disappointment, since I love this house so much. But I’m getting used to it; niche perfumery has basically died, and it’s all about the price now. It’s really hard to find refined, artistic new releases these days.

  To my nose, it’s a sweet masculine perfume, in the style of some recent modern creations. It’s pleasant but I don’t think it has much character or is anything new. It smells basically of fig, mint, cassis, and cedar. The minty touch balances the sweet base, which otherwise would feel generic. It has a moderate trail and lasts about 8-9 hours on my skin. While it might be nice for dressing up, I don’t think it’s interesting for its price range. I don’t perceive it as unisex despite the label. Scent 5/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value for money 4/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? I didn’t buy it.

  On my skin, it’s quite special. It’s woody, aromatic, and sweet, but without overdoing it. It’s complex and evolves a lot. At first, it’s fruity-green with a notable fig, sweet yet green, accompanied by mint that balances the sweetness well. In the middle, I notice blackcurrant and a subtle floral touch with iris and geranium. As it dries down, it stops being so fruity (though the fig remains) and turns woody and spicy, with a super creamy sandalwood and labdanum that gives it a resinous character, without losing that slightly medicinal vibe. I see it as totally unisex; I wear it very well, even if others might find it more masculine, and my partner likes it just as much. It’s versatile for almost any time of year. It lasts about 8 hours on skin, with a strong sillage for the first two hours and then a moderate trail. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous. I was really surprised by it; it’s way up on my wishlist.

If you like Gris Charnel, you’ll love this. Ideal as a signature scent for spring.
