Smells like opening a jar of hot spices, almost like opening a jar of cayenne, but yes, zero projection; as soon as you spray it, it stays close to the skin, or at least that happens on my skin. It was the one I most wanted to try based on the notes… it was a huge bluff… it doesn’t come close to Spicebomb, even by accident, and only a little bit to BTFP.
Smells like burnt caramel with a touch of incense. It reminds me of Escens Suave by Matière Première but is inferior in every way. Cheers. Edit: It can also remind you of Palo Santo by Carner.
It’s a meh version of By the Fireplace. Drier, less creamy, less defined, fewer details… it loses big time against the fragrance it copies. BTF transports you and makes you travel in your mind, while this one gets stuck. At 20-25 euros, it’s decent, but at the current price, I don’t think it’s worth it. Better to go for the Margiela one or, if not, the Perfume Parlour clone, which is spectacular and practically identical.
Pretty good for the price. It reminds me quite a bit of By the Fireplace by Maison Martin Margiela, but it’s weaker. I recommend it for testing given the price.
Sweet and woody with a slight spicy touch… it doesn’t last more than 4 hours, but you can forgive it because you can’t stop smelling your hand when you apply it… plus, it’s almost 60% off at Druni perfumeries… and yes… it smells very similar to By the Fireplace in the opening, but then it takes a different path.
I bought this for the spicy vibe. Being an F1 fan, I thought it looked promising for the price. Upon trying it, I got a flashback to strawberry smoke at the disco where I used to work as a DJ. That spicy, smoky opening, like a ‘burnt tire,’ transported me back to my 19s in the cockpit, with the track smoke, perfumes, alcohol, and night sweat… pure night life. It’s not a bad smell; quite the opposite. A perfume should tell a story, and this one does from the very first second. It’s a great spicy, sweet scent with a smoky touch, full of character and personality that you enjoy from start to finish. Performance: lasts about 5 hours with moderate projection, which is correct. It’s not eternal, but those 5 hours are very pleasant. Blind buy? Yes, for the price. But as always: better to test it on skin to see if it connects. A perfume with a soul, memories, and character, ideal for lovers of smoky spices.
