Just arrived and the name triggered my buy button immediately. It’s from Amouroud, an American house with some really interesting niche lines. I started with this because of that mysterious vibe in the title. Picture this: I’m unboxing it, staring at the bottle, and as soon as I put a drop on my arm, my shoes stick to the floor and I launch straight into the sky. Wow! What a scent, what complexity, what quality, what darkness. I never imagined this from a US perfume. Saffron, pepper, suede, and a touch of tobacco—it’s an electric shock straight to the brain. As it settles, very soft fruity notes and a bit of incense emerge. The full blend sounds like a Wagnerian symphony, with cannon blasts and violins. It’s brutal. Scent 9.5/10, Sillage 9/10, Projection 9/10, Longevity 8/10. A hidden gem to discover.

The composition works by uniting the darkness of Laos oud, softened by the warmth of tobacco-amber and enriched with a sweet touch of spiced fruits, nothing gourmand; that fusion creates an intriguing and seductive smell, perfect for night and cold weather. Longevity is around 6-8 hours. The projection isn’t a beast, but moderate, yet it invites intimacy, meaning the scent draws people in to get closer and smell it more. The only downside is I don’t know if it’s discontinued, but in Chile it’s already hard to find.

It lasts about 6-8 hours; it’s not a beast in projection, but it’s intimate, making you want to get close to smell it. The only downside is I don’t know if they’ve stopped selling it; here in Chile it’s already hard to find.

I tested it on my skin and it didn’t work for me; it smells like a sharp pencil tip, and I can’t see myself wearing that scent.
