Just added the brand’s latest release to my collection. It opens super citrusy with green lemon peel, that typical South American sour lemon vibe. It’s explosive but fades quickly; then it shifts to a sweeter citrus where the tangerine, jasmine, and ylang-ylang really shine. After ten minutes, everything balances out, like when an orchestra swaps guitar solos for a powerful, harmonious riff. By thirty minutes, fig, vetiver, and cardamomo emerge, adding texture and an earthy, slightly rough base, almost peppery, though I’m guessing it’s Egyptian papyrus. In the end, the notes drop but jasmine, vetiver, and a touch of suede linger, which is hard to catch with my nose. It’s a sparkling, distinguished fragrance, reminiscent of Nishane’s Wulong Cha (not identical, but similar). Amourud is a bit darker and earthier. Overall, it’s a great scent with excellent trail and projection for the first two hours, then fades until it disappears around eleven. For this style, the longevity is spectacular. Definitely a spring and summer scent, though it holds up well on hot autumn days. I see it as unisex, perfect for dressing up a bit. If you wear it to the office, be careful with the trigger since it’s quite intense. Scent 9/10, Trail 9.5/10, Projection 9/10, Longevity 9/10
