Finally got my hands on this gem after trying the Mini: a sweet patchouli with warm, creamy notes of benzoin and cinnamon. It feels super sexy and elegant, perfect for temperate or cold climates. I see it as more of a night scent than a day one, and for me, it’s one of the best in the CH collection, right up there with Oud Couture. Every nose is different, but in my opinion, it doesn’t smell like 1 Million Prive, TF Pour Femme, or even Midnight Poison by Dior, which I also own.
The projection is brutal, but on my skin, it fades to skin-level very quickly. Upon reapplying, I noticed the dry-down is very similar to Mugler’s Angel Mouse; Angel has a citrusy opening, but once it settles, they become quite alike. Honestly, for the price, I could have saved myself and stuck with the Mugler.
A juicy, hypnotic patchouli.
An excellent substitute for Dior’s Midnight Poison. Elegantly executed to the max.
The downside of exclusives is that they’re made unisex, and I hate that. They end up too generic, and I don’t want to run into a guy who smells exactly like me—zero thrill. I already have this and Amber Désiré, so I’m going for the Burning Rose from the same line.
Evokes masterful beauty. There’s a certain elegance, a spicy yet refined patchouli that smells of cinnamon and benzoin. It’s very spicy, lasts over 8 hours, and projects perfectly in cold weather. I think it’s perfect for any lover of this note; in formal situations, it leaves a beautiful trail of sweet spices. It has a tobacco note that reminds me of Pure Havane at times and Interlude by Amouage. It’s one of those perfumes that smells like mystery and elegance; I picture a well-dressed person at a gala, a wedding, or a date at a luxury restaurant.
I smelled it at Palacio de Hierro in Polanco, CDMX, and it was incredibly different. It’s captivating, enveloping, and impossible to stop sniffing; I got tons of compliments. I see it as more of a man’s scent than a woman’s. Super sexy. It smells a bit sweet but nothing cloying; it’s a scent from another world, a very fine and tasty patchouli.
