What a beautiful fragrance, a chypre wrapped in soft suede, far from anything greasy or tar-like. It’s a delicate yet majestic floral suede, full of elegance and presence. It evokes more of an ‘echo leather’ than real leather; that simile can be precious if done well, but ultimately, it doesn’t smell like skin. The same goes for this warm perfume: zero animalic notes, almost no leather. Osmanthus and patchouli give character to the floral side. In short, a gorgeous chypre, supposedly inspired by stables and life with those animals Mrs. Carolina loves so much. A noble version of her passion.
Tomorrowsdust
An animalic, masculine, and sensual leather, but a bit challenging. It doesn’t resemble Ombre Leather or Reserve Privé at all; this is more like a Texas cowboy in his leather jacket, hat, and boots, ready to have a few drinks with friends at the town bar. The longevity is brutal, over 12 hours, and the trail is huge, which justifies the price, although with leather perfumes, you almost have to try before you buy. Personally, I found it very hard to wear, so I’m passing.

For autumn and winter, I’m testing it at 14 degrees and it feels great. The leather accord is like Ombre Leather; here you can feel the patchouli and the resinous notes, though it’s not listed, it feels like dark tobacco and a liquor note, like Reserve Privé, Baraonda, and that line, just with more leather and less of that liquor sensation. It’s unisex, though dark.

I perceive the accords and notes in this order: Leather, Ginger, Smoke. It’s a very pleasant and fresh combination, at the same time strong and somewhat dark due to that leather accord.
