For lovers of Dior-style iris, the opening is similar to Dior Homme Parfum but with very distinct stages of evolution. Superior quality; it’s the father of Dior Homme Parfum, featuring an elegant, sophisticated iris that transitions into an exquisitely composed floral dry down. In my opinion, the best of the entire Confidential line. Great longevity and projection. Highly recommended.
An iris scent like La Vie est Belle… If you love it, you’ll love this; if you hate it like I do, stay away. I have a generous 4ml sample I’m keeping forever because I absolutely can’t stand it. It smells just like La Vie est Belle but costs triple the price—what a rip-off to pay that for a knockoff. It’s a chocolatey iris where violet and leather recreate a vibe you’ve smelled a thousand times in Lancôme dupes. Lasts a decent amount and you can tell, but personally, I don’t like it; I’d never buy it. That said, if you’re an iris fan, give it a try to decide if it’s worth the hype.
Please bring it back! The run was way too short. I grabbed the mini and keep it like it’s gold. People compare it to Cuir Zérzura, Dior Homme Intense, or Valentino Uomo, but it’s not the same for me. This one has a darker, chocolatey vibe. What a shame these gems are being discontinued.
