The heart mixes jasmine, chocolate, and fir; the jasmine is floral but the chocolate mutes it a bit, like an intruder in the garden. The fir seeks green freshness but gets lost. The base of Amberwood and moss anchors the notes; the Amberwood is warm and promises longevity, but the moss is earthy and familiar, yet it doesn’t elevate the fragrance above mediocrity. In short, it aims for the unique but doesn’t quite get there. The notes are there, but the execution needs polishing so each one can shine. It’s for those who value the effort of distinction, though it might be too reserved for those seeking an olfactory revolution.

I’m from Argentina and I’d never tried anything like this before—strange but delicious. I bought it blind and at first, it smells like body cream, the kind for muscle pain, citrusy and mentholated. Weird, but not ugly. As it dries down, it becomes sweet and floral, like a freshly opened alfajor with cookie crumbs and sugar, probably from the chocolate note. It’s very unisex, maybe leaning masculine, but it works great for women too. I’ve gotten tons of compliments, especially from women, who all say it smells like flowers. It’s a dupe of BG540 that few people know about here. Even though it’s strange, it’s not bad; once you get used to it, it’s interesting. I wear it daily at the office because it doesn’t overpower but you can definitely tell it’s there.

I have a better relationship with this brand (I only own the King), and while I acknowledge the synthetic touch, it doesn’t bother me. I don’t know Baccarat Rouge 540, but I’ve tried several dupes, and this is the most masculine of all. As it dries down, citrus and spices blend with a sweet note that doesn’t smell like chocolate. If I had to buy a Baccarat dupe, I’d only choose this one because it’s the most masculine. Here in Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, a 100ml bottle costs between $80 and $86. It’s much cheaper than the original, but still seems pricey for a dupe.

I loved it! It’s super unisex and while it reminds me of Baccarat Rouge 540, it takes a different path. It has that sweet-spicy touch but with a pine resin vibe, something green like rosemary. The best part is the longevity; I sprayed it three times on my glasses case and after six months, it still smells incredible.
