  • Whoa, what a find with this Bleu de Bahara. It’s a top-tier Layton clone for the price. For those who haven’t tried it: it’s a perfect balance between fresh and vanilla. A rich blend of menthol, a fruity opening (more green apple than citrus), vanilla, cinnamon, and lavender that ties everything together, sitting on a creamy sandalwood base. This clone is incredibly close to the original. Great job by Bahara for giving us access to niche fragrances at a good price. Recommended? Absolutely!

It’s a very citrusy perfume. Honestly, it doesn’t smell anything like Layton or its clones, not even a hint. This one is citrusy and sharp, ideal for hot weather. The skin longevity is good, lasting about 6 hours with strong initial projection. Note: I noticed my Bleu Pour Homme changed its name and is now called Double Bleu. The one currently named Bleu is indeed a Layton clone, but it’s the old Bleu (without Pour Homme).

  • Well, well, well. What a surprise this Baharara house has given me with this Bleu. It’s a really good Layton clone and top quality for the price. For those who don’t know Layton, it’s a perfect balance between fresh and vanilla. Basically, it’s a rich, mentholated vanilla that opens fruity (more green apple than citrus), with cinnamon and a lavender that balances everything, all over a creamy sandalwood base. A perfect scent. This clone isn’t far from the real thing. Great work by Baharara for giving us access to niche fragrances at a reasonable price. Recommended? For sure.

I own Layton and I’d say this comes close, about 90% in my opinion. It shares the opening with those mentholated and fruity notes, highlighting the green apple. Once it dries down, you can notice the quality difference, but for the price, it’s worth it. Lasts 6 to 7 hours, with strong projection for the first two. I totally recommend buying it!

I own Layton and I’d say this is quite close, about 90% in my opinion. It shares the opening with the minty and fruity notes, highlighting the green apple. When it dries down, you notice the quality difference, but it’s recommended for the price. Longevity is 6-7 hours with strong projection for the first two hours. I totally recommend buying it.

  • It arrived today, and even though I haven’t tried Layton, this smells amazing. At first, it smells like a remedy but in a super pleasant way, and when it dries down, it becomes divine. What I love most is that rich woodiness. 10/10 for the price. I don’t know if it’s identical to Layton, but as a perfume, it’s a beast.

  • Just arrived, I haven’t smelled Layton, but this smells delicious. The opening smells medicinal but pleasant, and when it dries down, it’s amazing. What I smell most is the incredibly rich wood; 10/10 for the price. I don’t know if it resembles Layton, but as a fragrance, it’s delicious.

  • I’d say it’s 95% identical to Layton; the only difference is that the spicy menthol kick of the original isn’t felt in the opening. I give it 9/10.

  • It’s 95% identical to Layton; the only difference is that at first, it doesn’t smell as strongly of menthol as the original. I recommend it with a 9/10.

It’s a quite good and masculine vanilla, with decent longevity and projection that can get heavy if you apply too many drops. The notes are very similar to Layton, so I recommend it for cold days or nights out, given the much more accessible price.

  • Very pleasant; every Bharara fragrance I’ve tried hasn’t disappointed and encourages me to keep exploring their collection. I didn’t detect the citrus notes here, but the vanilla and amber are well-worked to create a very masculine result. It definitely reminds me of Lournay’s Stefano, an exquisite and popular fragrance from the 90s. Regarding the similarity to Marly’s Layton, the Layton’s opening is fantastic and unique, far surpassing Bleu; however, in projection, longevity, and dry-down, both are very similar. In terms of quality-to-price ratio, I still wonder if Bharara’s Bleu is enough.

  • Found it on sale at Mercado Libre and I have no regrets. It’s a beautiful beast, very blue and versatile for any occasion. I’ve been looking for a blue fragrance to wear in any situation, and this one handles it all. It’s quite similar to Layton, even with the unlisted green apple note.

  • Not bad, smells rich, fruity, and vanilla-like when dry. However, my son and my wife noticed it doesn’t last long, though it projects well for a few hours. The downside is the price in Argentina; it costs as much as two Arabic perfumes combined (like Detour Noir), and the scent isn’t innovative. I bought the 10ml version; the presentation and spray are good, but unless the price drops, I doubt I’ll buy a larger size, just like with Double Bleu.

  • It’s not bad, smells good, fruity at first and then vanilla as it dries, but my son and wife and I noticed after testing it that it doesn’t last long and projects well for only about two hours. The downside is the price in Argentina; it costs as much as two Arab perfumes together (like Detour Noir), and the scent isn’t innovative. I bought the 10 ml bottle, nice presentation and spray, but if the price doesn’t drop, I doubt I’ll buy a larger one, same with the Double Bleu.

I don’t know the Marly Layton, but this smells different from the typical marine blue freshness; it’s elegant and has presence.
