Descripción

Narciso Rouge by Narciso Rodriguez is a floral musk woody fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Nadege le Garlantezec and Sonia Constant. Upon release, iris intertwines with Bulgarian rose, also known as Bulgarian damask rose. The heart of the fragrance reveals a bouquet of musk, neroli, and orange blossom. Finally, the base settles on tonka bean, vanilla, white cedar extract, cedar, sandalwood, and vetiver.

  • Narciso Rodríguez fragrances revolve around musk. Rouge is like the sensual sister of the Narciso line, very similar to Poudreé between balsamic and powdery but sweet. Clearly it’s the most conventional of all; the neroli, iris, and Bulgarian rose bring the opulence. I’d dare to say it has a touch similar to Dior Addict EDP but less overwhelming. In conclusion, it’s the one that has pleased the most in the franchise; it’s evident that the girl dressed in red stands out among the others who are sober and reserved.

  • They gifted it to me and it didn’t win me over. I use Poudreé and I love it, but this one is too floral for my taste. I must have a dull sense of smell to differ so much from all the opinions because I was surprised they say the two are so similar. On the other hand, I see in both Poudreé and this one that they don’t last as I’d like. I ‘treated myself’ to the larger format of Poudreé after the sample hit, and then the longevity disappointed me; at least on me. The most long-lasting in this line according to my experience are the white bottle one, which is divine, and the pink bottle For Her, which I don’t like at all and half of humanity has used. The same half that suffered the Angel fever decades ago, I think, as it smelled everywhere. Rouge has a beautiful bottle, I think it’s very well crafted and is pleasant, but it reminds me of others to me, besides feeling too floral. I’m into intense, long-lasting, woody, vanilla, and powdery perfumes but without a blatantly clear base. And Rouge doesn’t seem to be mine, not even Poudreé (although it smells stylish) because of how little it lasts for what it cost me.

  • I was given a sample on a cardboard strip and I loved it; that was over a week ago and it still smells. It has soaked into the entire drawer where I kept it. I’m thinking of going back to test it on my skin to check what effect it has on my pH. The aroma is delicious. It reminds me of a perfume from the nineties, as they say, this scent isn’t just another one. If you want to stand out, this is the one.

  • I tested it in freeshops, which aren’t always the best place to perceive notes… I really liked the opening. Of course, it reminds me of the classic Narciso, but it’s a flanker so that’s not strange. I don’t know if it’s my skin or the freeshop environment, but I didn’t find it very spectacular. I barely detected the rose; I don’t understand why. In the final dry down, it turned into an acidic rose on my skin that I didn’t like at all. It seemed like I was smelling a different perfume than the one described. I’m going to try to get a sample from Sephora before returning to my country to test it more before making a final judgment. I wanted to have it with the great reviews (especially after For Her Fleur Musc), but for now, until I can smell it in other contexts, I’ll pass. Before knowing it, I had made a blend at home of the classic Narciso and Esta Flor Rosa de Natura which turned out quite well, maybe that’s why it didn’t impact me so much.

I gifted it to my wife with a bit of trepidation… and she was fascinated. It’s a beautiful fragrance. Sweet but delicious. I recognize myself as a Narciso fan.

  • This is my last purchase and the first Narciso Rodríguez. I bought it for one reason: to my nose, it’s the most talcum-like of all I’ve ever smelled. Generally, Narciso perfumes don’t usually fool me; they smell too floral and ‘older woman’, leaning towards the 50s. So I smelled Rouge and Poudreé and chose the former for that intensely talcum note on my skin (Poudreé, despite feeling similar, left me with a floral trail I don’t think I’m carrying now). Summary: Pros: it’s a perfume whose scent has me obsessed, especially at the start, so fresh yet strong. And that talcum/woody scent right after. Cons: for the price (I got the 90ml + 10ml travel set), it should last much longer than it does. It explodes quickly at the start and then disappears. I’ve tried everything, even putting vaseline on it or spraying it on my hairbrush to make it stick… nothing. It’s a shame. I love the scent but it doesn’t give me a lasting impression. Maybe I’d buy it again, but the perfume world is vast and you have to keep experimenting.

  • Anfítrite

I’ve used two vials of EDP and honestly, it has beautiful nuances but it hasn’t convinced me. The opening has something that irritates me for at least an hour. It scratches my throat. It smelled like a mysterious marker among the flowers to me. It also smells like cedar pencil, which I do like. It’s possibly the musk and its synergy with the other notes that bother me. It reminds me of Antonio Banderas’ Her Golden Secret, which also had that irritating something, and they share notes (musk, orange blossom, tonka, vanilla, cedar), although they don’t look alike. After an hour, I start to enjoy the dry down more, which is softer and sweeter; reminiscent of old makeup powder. It’s powdery. It reminds me of some scent from the past, closed drawers in my grandmother’s armoires, old soaps, earthy garden smells. Beautiful scents. It has a contemporary style and would be suitable for work with the public, the office, meetings, or going out at night in formal settings. In summary: unpleasant initial phase of +1 hour, then a dry down that I do like. A perfume for musk lovers with a marked powdery sweet oriental vibe: satin woods, sweet tonka and vanilla, floral. Moderate sillage and longevity. Good fragrance but not for me.

  • rafajurado

Floral fragrance, fresh with a sweet touch. It has a vanilla and talcum base. I find it has poor sillage and projection. Very much in the style of Armani’s You or 212 VIP Rose.

  • Galadriel

Narciso Rodríguez perfumes are my favorites, but this Rouge… has left me a bit cold. I like it, but it hasn’t won me over like many of its ‘siblings’. It smells good, with that typical Narciso Rodríguez talcum and musk essence, but it just doesn’t grab me. A bit disappointing compared to Narciso Poudreé (which I adore), which many people say it reminds them of. Also, it’s extremely soft and lasts very little on my skin, very faintly… a barely passing grade for me.

  • Casablanca77

Narciso Rouge is a safe bet with Narciso Rodríguez; if you trust the brand, you won’t be disappointed. On my skin, it’s a powerful, metallic iris with a sweet, elegant, and executive touch. The sweetness isn’t cloying, thanks to this house’s musk, which is pure spectacle. I know musk can sometimes be tiring or even ticklish, but here the performance is very decent for these times. It evolves from the previous Narciso and Narciso Poudreé with lots of iris, landing right in the middle. A little goes a long way for summer; it’s better suited for cold weather. I notice less longevity than the other two. I’d recommend this to curious, educated people who don’t follow the crowd and who look you up and down before you even realize they know you. It smells safe, punchy, and perceptive—no nonsense, no pretension. It’s exactly what it is: a good perfume. Of the three, I’d have been equally happy with any of them: quality.

  • keilarojasw

A wonderfully floral fragrance. It’s truly delicious, but unfortunately, on my skin, the projection isn’t great, although the longevity is quite good.

  • albertodeline

My new favorite girl fragrance. It’s all iris, but for me, everything is governed by the iris. What a treat, such elegant and sexy femininity.

  • I love it. It seems sexy and elegant to me, reminding me of a woman in an art exhibition in a Julio Medem movie. A northern woman, cold beauty, unapologetically snobby, profoundly attractive, and sophisticated. A woman who, when you discover her, has already looked you up and down. Dangerous because she likes to look as much as being looked at. I love that danger, of someone tormented and burning beneath an appearance of control. I love the bottle, Pantone color 186C, pure and minimalist lines with simple Narciso letters.

  • I fell in love with this perfume by chance on a lucky day, when the sales staff let you smell without pressuring you into what everyone else buys. I was looking for something that evoked a femme fatale… sexy, elegant, intelligent, and captivating. This perfume is all that and more. Very good longevity, it sticks to clothes well, and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I love it from the start, but without a doubt, that powdery, vanilla scent as it dries, which smells like old powder, makes it unique. I was gifted it for Christmas, and every time I’ve worn it, it’s brought many compliments and even sparked passions 😉

  • An exquisite blend of iris, sandalwood, and tonka bean… sober, powdery, and elegant. Good trail and longevity on my skin.

  • A white floral fragrance that fades quickly, giving way to a warm, very powdery sweet floral note. This sweetness perfectly balances the woody base notes, adding sobriety and elegance. It’s versatile and enveloping: sweet and powdery enough for a hot day, yet warm enough to provide comfort in the cold. Narciso Rouge represents a woman with mature self-esteem who knows how to seduce with bearing and natural elegance. Moderate trail and projection, better fixation in cold than in heat. I won’t hesitate to buy it again when the time comes🌹🖤

  • A sweet floral discovery. I was looking for the iris. It’s not very well known in Chile, but I found it at a big store, tried it, and fell in love. Sweet iris and rose with tonka bean and vanilla over wood. Potent, overwhelming, and classy. My choice for going out at night or on cold days. Excellent trail and longevity. Totally recommended

  • I hadn’t tried it before and was blown away. The creaminess is unbeatable. I feel super sensual and sexy; the musk must be strong, but the flowers soften it, making it elegant, wearable, and not heavy. Definitely a hit with men 😉

  • Adorable and seductive perfume. I love all the Narciso I’ve tried, and Rouge is always a hit. Intense but not overwhelming, perfect for going out at night; you get chased like the Pied Piper…😁

  • Reina Amigdala

Not for me. An unfortunate blind buy. I love Narciso Fleur Musc for Her, and knowing this house makes super musky, feminine, and elegant fragrances, I thought it would be a good idea to order this. It wasn’t. It smells like musk and nothing else. I don’t detect roses or creamy vanilla. I just felt sad about wasting money in vain.

  • María Jacqueline

What to say.. 💖💖💖 I love Narciso Rouge with all my heart.. It’s very beautiful, moderate opening, then drops to soft but projects a ton even if you don’t feel it, people smell you.. Moderate longevity and I think the vanilla gives it a very nice touch, not sweet, but creamy.. I don’t feel it excessively powdery (Ambree is more powdery for me).. Its use is Winter, Autumn, and Spring, day and night… It’s also one of those perfumes that make you feel good, secure, and chic..

  • Gemasevilla

It has a creamy laziness mixed with a memory of a wooden pencil case. It’s pretty. At certain moments, it takes on an air similar to Cacharel’s Lou Lou, but much softer.

  • I’ve been testing it for a month, and no matter how much I wanted it to convince me, it didn’t. However, I think it could be good for someone who likes tonka bean. On my skin, it opens sweet and powdery: you mainly feel the iris and musk. After a while, it picks up a green-citrus note that I like, probably from the vetiver, but as it settles, the dry down becomes tonka, vanilla, and more tonka, accompanied by something dry, perhaps the woods. It’s very soft and feminine, reminding me of the smell of makeup. I see it as a daily perfume for cold or temperate weather, for someone with chic tastes (my partner says I smell like a rich twenty-something). Pretty, but not for me. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 6/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 7/10

  • Ideal for cold climates or autumn, at night. It’s a fragrance that lives up to its red box; it’s sexy. Powdery with a delicious vanilla base. I love it and it lasts me a long time; I can still smell it the next day. Ideal age range: 28 to 40.

  • verdepensativo

A perfume with class, leaving behind the innocence of Narciso Poudrée. Here we have a gentleman’s perfume, a gift that settles in and says ‘I am here.’ It’s powerful, overwhelming, and full of presence. It’s powdery, musky with a potent iris, rose, and tonka bean. It lasts forever, and you feel it as you walk, with medium but persistent projection. Approximate longevity is about 6 to 8 hours.

  • cristina_hortelano

A gem. The neroli and wood are very noticeable on my skin, a very powdery essence thanks to the musk. In its dry down, I perceive the vanilla and tonka bean, which makes it sexy and elegant. I’d say it works in any season, though I’d avoid it on very hot days. Good longevity, moderate sillage.

  • FlordeLis

I don’t know why, but I just can’t handle the Narciso line in general. This one seems slightly floral, quite cloying and powdery (like makeup powder). The woods are almost imaginary. It’s not that it smells bad, but it makes me quite dizzy.

  • Sputnikan

Whether I wanted to or not, I compared Narciso Rouge with Dior Addict while holding both samples. I absolutely love Narciso Rouge: I like the soft musk, the powdery iris, and the creamy florals. The vanilla and tonka bean feel very clear. It’s a super powdery, sweet, and warm perfume. I love that Narciso perfumes always have a very human quality; I remember my grandmothers or aunts, hugging them and feeling their perfume and their warmth. It’s a perfume to feel hugged. It’s sweet and soft, but it has an impressive trail for what it is. My sister smelled it from across the room and said it smelled like warm cookies. I compared it to Dior Addict because for a moment I mixed up the bottles and thought one was the other. But the crucial difference is the musk in Narciso Rouge, which softens the powdery vanilla of Addict and makes it much friendlier. I find points in its powdery and vanilla accord. It might seem contradictory, but Dior Addict seems more animalistic to me than this Narciso. It’s greener, rougher, and doesn’t give me the same calm as Narciso Rouge. This flanker is very ethereal, perfect for daily wear or for bed. It’s soothing, with floral notes, translucent powder, and sweet vanilla. It lasts about 8 hours on the skin, and although it doesn’t project beastily like Dior, it has a considerable trail. I definitely want the large presentation, and it’s worth testing on skin.

  • Ugh, I can’t stand it. I bought it blind and at first, it was instant love—I couldn’t stop smelling it. But now, just thinking about it gives me a headache. It smells so deep, and that vanilla is everywhere; it’s warm and makes me dizzy, lol. It’s terrible. It doesn’t even smell like vanilla, don’t trust it. At first, it smelled elegant, now it smells like a lady’s cream from the supermarket. It’s quite enveloping, that’s the word. I really don’t want to smell it again, ever, and what a pity because I liked it, but I can’t 🙁

  • Elegant, sophisticated, talcum-powdered, feminine, nothing miserly. In my opinion, it’s a fragrance that only works for winter weather. I have to be very careful with the amount and use few sprays; on me, the scent tends to intensify after an hour. The trail is medium, but on the skin, the longevity is high; it lasts 10 hours or more. If it’s true that applying a large amount makes it cloying and intoxicating, and could give a ‘old lady perfume’ sensation, I consider that if applied in a small quantity, the perfume is delicious.

  • At a El Corte Inglés they told me they were going to discontinue it; I don’t know how true that is since I haven’t seen anyone else talking about it (?)

  • SeekerofHugs

Narciso Rodríguez isn’t for me, especially his For Her line; it just doesn’t work for me, too many flowers and especially musk, but his Narciso line (the cubes) I like a bit more. I’d never tried this perfume because Narciso and Narciso Poudre didn’t excite me. A few days ago I atomized it on a strip and… regular, but I put the paper in my bag. When I got home and tried it again, I thought ‘Wow, what a change, it smells so good!’ Yesterday I tried it on skin, and the dry-down has me conquered. ‘Narciso Rouge’ has a sharp, sour, and musky opening that I don’t like at all, but it evolves in a beautiful way. The rose (a note I don’t like) is noticeable, but not powerful or authoritative; I feel the Iris (one of my favorites) more, and their blend is intoxicating. The dry-down combines those notes with the sweetness of vanilla and tonka, creating a beautiful, soft, and creamy scent. I’d love for the musk to drop a bit so I could feel the woody base more, as it stays very hidden. As I said, the first hour doesn’t convince me, but the dry-down is so wonderful it’s worth the wait. It has that little lipstick touch that fascinates me so much! It’s chic, delicate, powdery, feminine, and casual but with a sensual touch. Ideal for spring/fall. My Castile and León winters are too much for it. It seems potent at first but fades very quickly to skin level with an average duration of about 4 hours on me. Are they really discontinuing it? What bad luck. I always keep an eye on discontinued perfumes. In that case, I’d definitely get a bottle.

  • LosPerfumesDeJavi

Since I tried it, I really liked it, but all the time I felt like I was wearing deodorant instead of perfume, doesn’t that happen to you? It reminds me of Rexona deodorants, for example, a super pleasant scent, don’t get me wrong. It’s pure woody musk with a slight note of rose, a hint of sweetness from tonka bean, and very powdery from the iris. Powdery is the word I’d use to describe it. It has a very wide trail and very good longevity. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you feel clean and almost smells like cotton fabric softener. Very good and very likely to please everyone, though I agree with several reviews that say it ends up boring you very quickly. The bottle is very beautiful yet simple.

  • I’d read a thousand reviews of this perfume, almost all positive, and the image I had of the scent had nothing to do with reality, unfortunately. First off, it does contain the Narciso DNA that characterizes the house and makes it, in my opinion, unique. However, beyond that, it distances itself quite a bit from the rest of the collection. This perfume is a floral bomb on my skin of rose and iris, and as you can imagine, it turns into an old makeup scent, very, very powdery. Despite being listed only in the opening, on me those two notes are, by far, the most dominant throughout the entire evolution. Honestly, I was a bit shocked because I’d heard this was a sexy, seductive perfume, so at some point in its evolution I expected a shift toward warmth and sensuality, especially considering those musk, cedar, sandalwood, and tonka bean notes in the dry-down that I usually love… what could go wrong? But unfortunately, on my skin the scent didn’t evolve enough. Just flowers and more flowers over a musky and slightly sweet base. It’s a 100% feminine, clean, talc/musky scent. Versatile. Honestly, I don’t find it sensual at all; I wouldn’t even wear it evening/night, but rather for daytime or work. On the other hand, I find the performance inferior on my skin compared to most Narcisos. It’s clearly an intimate perfume with very low projection even from the start, and a duration that on my skin didn’t exceed 6 hours. It’s not a bad perfume, but I expected something else, and it’s not for me. I was about to buy it blind several times and I’m very glad I didn’t. What a pity, honestly; I hope it behaves on my skin like it does on many of yours.

  • Powdery and creamy rose with a deep base of dusty woods (very woody at the base) and subtle floral notes I can’t quite identify. Narciso is absolutely brilliant when it comes to roses and musk, but here there’s cedar in the base that gives it a touch of makeup scent. The dry down lasts way too long, which is great. Maybe in extremely hot weather it’s too intense, but I’ll find out later. Yes, it’s worth it, and it’s a well-constructed scent. Feminine with great longevity. It has that fashion week vibe and feels perfect for an evening dinner under the stars. If worn at the office, university, with friends for coffee, or simply for a walk or beach day, I’d recommend applying just a little behind the ears, on the inner wrist, and a subtle touch on the pulse points, because it’s a soft yet enveloping scent that shouldn’t be overused. Very good, I really like this Narciso.

  • Super feminine fragrance; the scent I notice most is like powder, so pretty. You can smell it on yourself, but others don’t detect it much.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

Over time, I learned to love this fragrance; that blend of iris and rose makes it very sensual. In my case, I don’t overapply; three sprays are enough to complement my makeup like a finishing touch. It’s wonderful, I regret not giving it the credit it deserves.

  • Perfumepassion

Wow… Narciso Rodríguez keeps surprising me every day. I own For Her EDP and it’s spectacular. A while back I gifted CYSTAL to my mom, and it suits her so delicately… Today I picked up NARCISO Rouge. Dusty rose, enveloping, woody notes. Everything is lovely.
