  • By now, ‘extreme’ has lost its meaning in perfumery, just like ‘intense’ or ‘absolute’. It’s a muddled, watery scent that loses the charm of the original, much like a Narciso Bleu ‘fresh’ version that makes no sense because its musk is blurred by cedar. Performance is decent but nothing ‘extreme’; I’ll stick with the EDP, which is more impactful and has a clear concept. I still don’t know what this one is.

  • I loved the opening. I own the Bleu Noir EDT, and you can tell they share the same DNA, always present. The Extreme is sweeter and fresher; the ice note gives a diluted feel but with lots of brightness and freshness. Buying both feels redundant, but they serve different moments: the EDT for formal and elegant occasions, the Extreme for casual wear. I can’t judge longevity and projection yet, just started testing it.

  • At first, I loved it. I already own the Bleu Noir EDT and you can tell it’s the same DNA, always present. The Extreme is sweeter and fresher; the ice note gives a sense of dilution but with lots of brightness and freshness. Buying both feels redundant, but they work for different moments: the EDT is more formal and elegant, while the Extreme is more casual. I can’t judge longevity and projection yet since I’m just starting to test it.

Looking for a luxury substitute for my old Capri 19-69, something fresh for the heat. I’ve tried niche and designer, avoiding the overdone ones; I’m a bit wary of niche due to pricing and undisclosed synthetics. After testing over 50 perfumes, three finalists emerged: one with brutal yuzu and iodine notes, another a clone with musk and little hype, and finally this Narciso Rodriguez Extreme. For me, the best designer aquatic citrus in six years. Fresh opening with tangerine front and center, a synthetic component that feels glacial without being unpleasant. The dry-down is magnificent: wood wrapped in musk, addictive and classy, lasting longer than expected for an EDT. A masculine proposal that sneaks past the community’s radar, breaking conventions.

I’ve been hunting for a luxury replacement for my old Capri 19-69 for a year, something fresh for the heat. I’ve tried niche and designer, steering clear of the overused ones; I’m a bit turned off by niche due to the prices and undisclosed synthetics. After testing over 50 scents, I have three finalists: one with brutal yuzu and iodine notes, another niche dupe with musk and low hype, and finally this Narciso Rodriguez Extreme. For me, it’s the best designer aquatic citrus in six years. Fresh opening with tangerine taking the lead, featuring a synthetic component that gives an icy sensation without being unpleasant. The dry down is magnificent: wood wrapped in musk, addictive and classy, lasting longer than expected for an EDT. A masculine proposal that walks right past the community’s expectations, breaking conventions.

  • Interesting fragrance: starts with dry, powdery orange peel and ripe tangerine, accented by basil for an electric, ice-fresh vibe. Clean, silky musk gradually takes over, closing with sweet, present woods. It’s an elegant, spicy, cold, and rounded Blue, though the citrus notes steer it away from marine into a more woody, aromatic profile.

  • I’ve never tried a Narciso Rodríguez because it’s practically a rarity in most perfumeries in my city, and thanks to getting a decant a few days ago, this first contact was very satisfying. I don’t distinguish the ice note, but the others are easily perceptible, especially the citrus, the musk, and the deep, masculine wood. I think it’s a very elegant perfume: it’s like a custom-made white shirt made of the best cotton. What I would have liked is for it to offer a bit more longevity; it’s not bad, but it’s just okay: about 5-6 hours with a moderate trail for an hour or so, then very close to the skin. I agree that it reminded me a bit of Dior Homme Eau, but that similarity is brief, and I assume it’s due to the citrus and the velvet-like sensation of the musk. Scent: 9 Longevity: 6 Projection: 6 Versatility: 9 Value: 8

  • I’d never tried Narciso Rodriguez before, a rarity in my city, but thanks to a decant, the experience was satisfying. I don’t detect the ice note, but I do smell citrus, musk, and deep masculine wood. It’s elegant, like a tailored white cotton shirt. I’d like more longevity; it’s just enough: 5-6 hours with moderate sillage for about an hour and a half, then close to the skin. It reminded me of Dior Homme Eau, but it’s shorter. Scent: 9, Longevity: 6, Sillage: 6, Versatility: 9, Value: 8.

  • This fragrance is a bit strange. I bought it blind, but I’m not regretting it. The opening has a sour sweat sensation. It’s very uncomfortable. Afterward, that sweaty smell starts to fade a bit, and it turns into a darker, creamier citrus. Anyway, I’ll have to try it more. These are just first impressions.

The scent isn’t my style, but I must admit it’s quite pleasant and you can tell the quality. I’d love to smell it on someone else, but wearing it myself makes me feel a bit sick. It’s a musk with additions, but the musk dominates from start to finish. Good longevity, moderate projection. A somewhat metrosexual aroma, could be unisex too.

  • A musk bomb with citrus reminiscent of Bleu de Chanel, but with its own personality. It’s a variation of the blue fragrance family; the original is so distinct they couldn’t stay out. Spicy with a herbal touch at the start, it dries down to be woody and musky, that sexy and dirty but pleasant scent. Very musky, floating between woody whispers. Pleasant and performed well on my skin. I like it, though I’m not sure if I’ll buy it. To end, the ice note seems ridiculous to me.

  • A musk bomb, with citrus à la Bleu de Chanel to provide an olfactive reference but with its own focus and personality. It’s one of the hundreds of ‘blue’ fragrances launching, but the mother fragrance is so distinct from everything else that they didn’t want to be left out of the competition. To better understand the aroma… it’s piercing with a minimal herbal touch in the opening; as it dries down, it becomes woody and musky, that typical sexy, dirty but not unpleasant smell for me. Note: it’s very, very musky, with that note floating among woody hints. I think it’s a quite pleasant aroma, it smelled amazing on my skin and performed well. I like this perfume, though I’m not sure if I’ll buy it. To finish, the ‘ice’ note honestly seems ridiculous.

I’m fascinated by the Bleu Noir DNA. This flanker is very similar to the EDP, but without the intense woody base. Unfortunately, in my experience, it lasts a breath, so I won’t be buying it.

  • This is a truly exquisite perfume for summer. It’s easygoing but smells high-quality, balanced, and has decent longevity. It lasts around 5-6 hours, which isn’t bad for a fresh fragrance.

  • Exquisite for summer. Easy, smells high-quality, balanced, and has good longevity. It lasts around 5-6 hours, which isn’t bad at all for a fresh scent.

  • I bought it on a TikToker’s recommendation, hmm… I wouldn’t buy it again due to its shortness and because I think it’s discontinued. The opening is delicious, with fruits taking center stage. It reminds me of the scent of dried fruits. The downside: it doesn’t last more than 2 hours, and the trail is low, almost skin-only. And the ‘ice’ note goes unnoticed. It’s for personal pleasure, a pre-sleep shower, and about 50 sprays so you or your partner can smell it… then sleep fresh and clean.

NR has added a bit of synthetic freshness and citrus to the cement-musk scent for spring-summer. Longevity is just okay. If you like the musky aromatic DNA of the Blue Noir line or are a fragrance fan/collector, go for it. The rest can skip it. There are plenty of similar ones out there, and many are much cheaper.

  • Fresh yet with an elegant and distinctive touch; for me, the best in the Bleu Noir family. It doesn’t project much, but I don’t want something so invasive for a hot day. It keeps the EDT essence, with that sweet woody dry-down, but more subtle and in just the right measure, which I find positive. In the EDT, it feels too sweet and heavy, with that makeup or doll vibe reminiscent of Dior Homme Intense’s iris, but I think that’s more likely due to the cedar + vetiver combo.
