Descripción

MYSLF L'Absolu by Yves Saint Laurent is a spicy woody fragrance for men, introduced as a new scent in 2025. Created by perfumer Christophe Raynaud, the top notes unfold with vibrant ginger, bergamot, and cardamom; the heart reveals a neroli blossom alongside floral notes; and the base settles on patchouli.

  • Luckily, I got this as a birthday gift after being blown away by a blind test in a store. It’s the most expensive one in my collection, and even though it hurts my wallet, with over 150 perfumes, this is hands down my absolute #1. I haven’t found anything I like more. It outshines its siblings, and while I’m not sure if it’s the ingredients or the formula, you can tell it’s worth the price. If they ever drop the cost, I might reconsider, but until there’s real competition, the price makes sense for someone who spends the big bucks.

  • I’ve tried it several times and it’s honestly the best in the entire line: top-tier longevity and an amazing scent, 10/10. BUT… paying 110€ for 100ml seems absolutely insane and crazy. Let’s hope the price drops.

  • I just bought it. It’s very floral, you can smell the bergamot and other noted flowers. I see it as formal and elegant; I bought it to wear several times a week, with a suit, blazer, or open shirt, preferably light colors for that spring vibe. It can be worn at any age, though it asks for seriousness and maturity. It’s a masculine unisex scent and very versatile in time and occasion, I think that’s its strong point. In performance, without testing further, it lasts little on my skin: about 5-6 hours. Projection is intense at the start but drops sharply; it seems to project a lot for the first hour. I think I should reapply. For the price, it’s not much. I hope to use it more to see longevity on clothes and how it evolves over time. Scent: 8, Versatility: 9, Longevity: 6, Projection: 7. Final note: 7.5.

  • I just bought it, and while I need to test the performance more, here’s my experience: very floral, with a strong orange blossom note and other signature accords. I see it as very formal and elegant; in fact, I bought it to wear several times a week with a suit, tie, or blazer and open-collared shirt, preferably light colors to match that spring vibe. It suits any age, though it demands a serious wardrobe and fits a more mature profile. It’s a unisex masculine scent and very versatile across seasons and occasions, which I think is its strong suit. As for performance, on my skin it lasts a short while, maybe 5-6 hours at most. Projection is intense right after application, but since longevity is short, it drops off fast. I think I should reapply. For the price, it’s underwhelming. I should try wearing it on clothes to see if oxidation improves it. Notes: Scent 8, Versatility 9, Longevity 6, Projection 7. FINAL SCORE: 7.5.

  • Myslf L’Absolu is woody, spicy, and floral. For those who know the original EDP, this version is more woody and spicy, with a heavier vanilla load and spices like ginger and cardamom, while keeping the classic white florals of the line. The warm spices make it less versatile, ideal for autumn and winter, though it could work for night outs in spring or summer. Longevity beats 8 hours; the trail is moderate for the first hour then fades, but it doesn’t disappear onto the skin. It’s not bad, though in this style it faces stiff competition from Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense or Azzaro’s Most Wanted. Try it and decide if it’s worth it.

  • Myslf L’Absolu is woody, spicy, and floral. If you know the original EDP, this is similar but more woody and spicy, with a higher load of sweetness, vanilla, ginger, and cardamom, keeping the typical white flowers of the line. The warm spices make it less versatile, ideal for autumn and winter, though in spring/summer it could be used at night. Lasts over 8 hours on me; the sillage is regular for the first hour then drops but doesn’t disappear. It’s not bad, though it has strong competition from Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Intense or Azzaro’s Most Wanted. Try them and decide if it’s worth it.

  • Smells like freshly laundered bed sheets, with a slightly powdery sweet note. It’s a clean, neutral, white-shirt man scent. I use it when it’s cool, for afternoon walks or cold office days (2-3 sprays). It also works for cold nights, though don’t expect a ‘beast mode’; you’ll get compliments because it doesn’t bother anyone. I like the longevity and sillage, less so the price which competes with Prada L’Homme or Valentino Born in Roma for less. For me, the best in the MYSLF line, not green like its siblings. Longevity: 9/10, Sillage: 8/10, Price: 6/10.

  • Great aroma with strong projection, but terrible longevity (1 hour), then it fades to skin-level. Not worth it for the price. What a pity.

  • The opening put me off: a synthetic bergamot à la Lapidus, but after 30 minutes it settles into something sweet, slightly powdery, and floral, much better than its brothers. Projection and longevity need evaluation. It’s pure versatility: suitable for all seasons and ages. Opening 3/10, Dry Down 9/10.

  • Its siblings were pleasant but lacked distinct character. This one, however, goes straight into the collection. It keeps the line’s spirit but adds a ‘multicolor’ floral note and a fresh spicy touch that make it unique and charming. Despite the floral load, it feels masculine. It’s clean, pleasant, and versatile. Performance is acceptable. For me, it’s the best in the collection and one of the best launches of the year.

  • I was hugely surprised. It’s like its smaller siblings but with a spicier touch; you can smell the patchouli, and it has that something that makes people turn around when you pass. Amazing fragrance, one of the best of 2025. After 5 hours, it shifted and now smells a lot like Dior Homme Parfum 2025 and Azzaro’s The Most Wanted. A real hit, definitely the best of the year.

  • I bought it blind, taking a risk. The 40ml bottle was the right call; if I had tested it first, maybe I wouldn’t have bought it. It’s more floral, unisex, and pricey. While it smells good and is easy to like, it’s not a powerhouse in terms of potency or longevity. I prefer the Parfum and the EDP.

What a beast of a fragrance! I love that this perfume doesn’t appeal to everyone; it’s not hyper-commercial, which makes it unique and original. It gets compliments non-stop: elegant, masculine, fresh, with a touch of sweet floral without being cloying. It’s perfectly balanced—it’s not just Blue, Floral, or Aquatic; it’s a well-tuned orchestra. Lasts about 7 hours, and on clothes, more than 4 days (I’ve checked). A true work of art by Christophe Raynaud!

What a bomb! I love that this isn’t a mass-market scent; it smells distinct and original. People compliment it constantly: elegant, masculine, fresh with a balanced sweet and floral touch. It’s neither blue, nor purely floral, nor aquatic; it’s a well-tuned orchestra. Lasts about 7 hours on skin and over 4 days on clothes (verified). A masterpiece by Christophe Raynaud.

  • Very synthetic, only for going out at night. Smells like an Arabic fragrance and I’m not convinced by it.
