It’s a perfume I wouldn’t recommend buying blind. It’s not for everyone; it’s very acidic and I won’t be buying it again.
I get a strong passionfruit or very acidic, tropical vibe. I bought it in winter, but for me, it’s a 100% summer fragrance. That’s why I haven’t used it much yet; I feel it doesn’t match the cold.
I bought this blind based on the notes and low price. My review is from the first sprays; I haven’t let it mature yet. I saw on TikTok that people said it was an Angel Nova dupe (I didn’t smell it) and basically raspberry. Honestly, I don’t get that: at first, it smells like roses. When you spray it, it comes out quite acidic with a strong raspberry note, but then that acidity fades and the rose settles in. It’s a musky rose with a hint of raspberry in the dry down. Maybe it will change with maturation. I’ll update later. It reminded me a lot of Givenchy’s Live Irresistible Rosy Crush, which I love. Alive Now is elegant, feminine, and sweet but not gourmand—it’s a sweet rose with a hint of raspberry and musk. I’d wear it in spring or non-scorching summers; I think I’d get saturated by the musk in hotter weather. I was expecting something super citrusy with raspberry, but no, it’s a raspberry-rose (and musky). But I was pleasantly surprised and I love it. Its projection is medium-low (which I like) and it lasted 6 hours on my skin (perfumes don’t last on me at all, so that’s not bad). Edit: A week later, I smell more raspberry and lychee in the dry down, and not so much rose anymore. I put it on my neck 9 hours ago and I can still smell it. I’m impressed!
I love it! I prefer it over Angel Nova because it’s more acidic; Angel is more woody, at least the original version (I haven’t tried the Fruée).
I love how well it projects; it smells amazing in the air and my friends say it lasts 10 hours on skin. It’s very similar to Angel Nova but without the oud, and honestly, it’s worth it, especially in the air. I like it more than Mayar, though I’m not sure how it performs on skin.
