Just like the Nina Ricci one, it’s pretty but can get tiring if you wear it too much.
I like it, but there’s a slightly artificial note that doesn’t convince me; I’m not sure if it’s too much passion fruit. It’s long-lasting, but it doesn’t leave much sillage; just a bit for the first two hours and then it loses intensity, only noticeable if you get very close.
Maui Fantasy would be the second choice in this line for heat, aimed at summer and the beach. For me, thinking about more flankers in the Fantasy line is tedious, as the quality starts to reflect a decadent interest; the brand should expand its pillar fragrances instead of wearing down a 2000s classic. Maui tries to fix the disaster of Island Fantasy. It’s an improvement, but moving from mediocrity to average isn’t something to be proud of. It launched this year and no one cared. Maui is a polarizing scent: for some, a tropical essence with bitter-sweet coconut, effervescent grapefruit, and juicy passion fruit (though I’ve never liked that note). For others, an absurd, synthetic, and poorly blended floral composition; the aged and vinegary tiare flower dims the bird of paradise. A shrill hint of tiare mixes with generic coconut and vanilla, reinforcing the inconsistency, along with a strange attempt at wet woods. Inspired by Maui, it’s average, briefly pleasant but ridiculously synthetic in the dry down. The synthetic note gets lost in the heat, so you have to take it seriously if it’s tropical. Sillage and longevity are unstable, sometimes extensive, other times vaporous. The visual design is cheerful but unnecessary; it’s rare to see 15-year-olds wearing the same thing as a 70-year-old teacher. Maui Fantasy wasn’t needed, no one asked for it, and I doubt anyone suffers for its absence (it’s similar to JLo’s Miami Glow, but sweeter and warmer). Once discontinued, it would be an opportunity to focus on other lines, like an alternative to Curious or exploiting the Believe name. Getting it is complex, few look for it, and it sells little; the best bet is international pre-order or luck at a perfumerie.
Maui Fantasy is the second option in this line for heat, made for the beach. It’s tedious to think more flankers are coming because the quality is slipping, and the brand should focus on its main fragrances instead of wearing out a 2000s classic. Maui tries to fix the Island Fantasy disaster; it’s an improvement, but moving from mediocrity to average isn’t something to be proud of. It launched early in the year, and no one cared—not experts or Britney. It seemed like they wanted to rush interest in flankers that were previously well-executed. Although it uses new ingredients, the result feels half-baked. It’s polarizing: for some, it’s a tropical essence with sour-sweet coconut, effervescent grapefruit, and juicy passion fruit (though I don’t get along with that note), and for others, it’s an absurd, plastic, synthetic floral composition, poorly blended. The tiaré flower smells aged and vinegary, overpowering the bird of paradise, and mixes with a grating hint of generic coconut and vanilla, plus a weird attempt at wet wood. Inspired by Maui, it’s average, briefly pleasant, but ridiculously synthetic in the base. The synthetic side gets neutralized by heat, so you have to take it very seriously as a tropical fragrance. The trail and longevity are unstable, sometimes extensive and other times vapor-like. The visual design is cheerful and chic, unnecessary since the brand sells to all ages, and it’s rare to see 15-year-old classmates wearing the same scent as a 70-year-old teacher. A Maui Fantasy wasn’t needed; no one asked for it, and I doubt anyone suffers from its absence. It resembles JLo’s Miami Glow but is sweeter and warmer. It’s an opportunity to focus on other lines like Curious, Believe, or Radiance. Getting it is tricky because few want it, so you have to pre-order or get lucky.
Wonderful! I bought it blind as a Britney fan and I adore her perfumes; I had no expectations, just imagined something with coconut, but I’ve always wanted a sunscreen scent and couldn’t find one until today. It’s a beach, cocktail, and palm tree aroma, delicious. Consistent with the Fantasy line, which is gourmand and edible, it makes you want to drink it like a Caribbean cocktail. Passion fruit, coconut, cream, sugar, lemon, and tropical flowers… it smells like a treat. A perfect summer hit, Britney!
This perfume is a pleasant surprise; it’s cheerful and distinct, giving me the urge to head to the beach. The bottle is gorgeous. It’s a sweet cream with coconut, passion fruit, and a cocktail of tropical flowers—a delicious mix. Although it fades quickly, it’s perfect for hot days. It smells like fresh fruit juice with sugar, making me want to eat it.
A surprising perfume, distinct and cheerful, giving me the urge to go to the beach. The bottle is gorgeous. It’s like a sweet cream + coconut + passion fruit + tropical flowers, a delicious mix. Although it loses intensity, it’s perfect for hot days. It makes you want to eat it; it reminds me of fresh fruit juice with sugar.
What a fresh scent! The coconut and passion fruit notes hit instantly, followed by orange blossom and sandalwood, a great mix. The bottle has the same vibe as Fantasy in Bloom, but more beachy and pretty. Since it’s an Eau de Toilette, it doesn’t last long on my skin, so I have to reapply several times a day, but it doesn’t matter because it smells amazing. Definitely a summer scent.
Maui Fantasy is part of the Fantasy family, something that intrigued me but also scared me a bit. Seeing it, I didn’t hesitate and had it sprayed on my wrist. First comes the coconut, with a slightly synthetic touch like sunscreen, but with a delicious coconut water aroma. The sweetness comes from the passion fruit, which blends perfectly with the coconut. The other notes add softness and aquatic freshness, ideal for summer or the beach. The funny thing is that I don’t like going to the beach, but this smells like bottled sea; I almost felt the sand and got the urge to swim. The longevity and sillage are moderate; it doesn’t last long in winter, but in summer it might change my mind. It’s going on my wishlist. The Fantasy family never disappoints. Incredible that I don’t like Britney but I love her perfumes. Scent: 8.5/10, Sillage: 9/10, Longevity: 8/10
What a find! I bought it blind based on the price and it was the best decision. Smells like coconut and vanilla, and you can tell it lasts all day. Highly recommend!
Fresh, youthful, fruity, and sweet aroma; durable, affordable, and comes in a light bottle with a nice design. It takes you back to happy beach days with delicious coconut. In short, several attributes that make me glad I bought it.
I bought it without trying; it was a good price and reading reviews, I saw it was similar to Miami Glow, and that’s true. I had that perfume years ago, I liked it but for some reason stopped using it and gave it to a friend. Over time, I regretted it and never found it again, but no need now since I have Maui Fantasy and they really are similar, and I could even say it’s richer. I’m terrible at describing perfumes, but I recommend it. It’s summery and has good longevity. Britney Spears did it again!
I bought it without testing it first; it was a good price and based on reviews, I knew it was similar to Miami Glow, and it is true. I owned it years ago, liked it, gave it away, and later regretted it because I can’t find it anymore. Now I have Maui Fantasy, and they smell very similar, with this one smelling even better. I’m terrible at describing perfumes, but I recommend it. It’s summery, has decent longevity, and Britney nailed it again.
I like this Maui Fantasy. In my opinion, having heard and used several fragrances with a coconut scent, this one seems good to me. It has an artificial touch, but I haven’t felt that note as anything unnatural yet. Interesting price-to-quality ratio. Ideal for the beach and summer. It’s nothing extraordinary, but I think coconut lovers should give it a try and won’t regret it. Now, if you’re a perfume snob, run away.
Summer in a bottle. It transports you to a seaside chiringuito in an instant. Maui Fantasy smells like passion fruit and creamy coconut, very tropical; the truth is, it’s a bit synthetic too, but very rich. For me, it’s delicious; I love it. Skip it if you can’t handle synthetic notes. Scent 7/10, longevity 6/10, sillage 7/10, value 7/10, versatility 4/10, packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
Summer in a bottle. It transports you to a seaside shack instantly. Maui Fantasy smells mainly of passion fruit and creamy coconut, very tropical. The truth is, it’s a bit synthetic too, but very rich. For me, it’s delicious. Abstain if you can’t handle synthetic notes. Scent 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 7/10, Versatility 4/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
I was intrigued by it for a long time: everyone said it was ‘the beach in a bottle’ and the note combination sounded fabulous, but I never found it to try, so I ordered it blind. What a surprise: it’s very similar to Tous Bonjour Señorita that I already own, but this one is more pleasant to my nose and has fresher notes. Maui has synthetic notes, but it doesn’t disappoint like most Fantasy scents: it’s youthful, fun, and easy to wear. I give it 7/10.
I found it here and wanted to try it based on the notes; honestly, I’m absolutely in love with it. It’s sweet, but the fruity notes stand out; the coconut is very noticeable. It reminds me of summer and has excellent longevity. I’d use it a thousand times.
I love it for summer; it’s funny because it smells a lot like coconut and also like Listerine, that mouthwash over here. It refreshes while smelling like coconut. I feel it’s super summery and I’ll probably buy it again because it’s affordable and long-lasting.
The ideal toilet water for summer and daytime. The downside is that on my skin it has low projection and longevity: it lasts barely an hour, and at most three hours. Although being an Eau Toilette, you can’t expect much, but for me, it’s short. It’s a cheerful, youthful, summery scent, a bit synthetic but not ugly; it reminds me of passion fruit gum. It’s more tropical than beachy. What I detect most is the passion fruit and grapefruit at the start, followed by a tiare flower wrapped in sweet, synthetic vanilla, and a note of coconut with woods. To me, it’s an open coconut filled with chunks of passion fruit, grapefruit, and tiare flowers bathed in vanilla. If I were to assign a character, it’s Lilo from Lilo & Stitch, perfect for her lifestyle and cheerful personality. It’s not intrusive, and while I think it suits any age, it would look perfect on a girl like Lilo. Ideal for those who enjoy synthetic tropical scents, although as I said, it doesn’t last long.
Ideal for summer and for the day more than for the night. The downside is that on my skin it has low projection and longevity; I can project for a scant hour and it lasts me a maximum of 3 hours. Being an Eau de Toilette, you can’t ask for much, but in my case, it’s very short. It’s a cheerful, youthful, and summery scent. To my taste, it has synthetic notes, but that doesn’t make it ugly; it reminds me of a passion fruit gum. I see it as more tropical than beachy. What I detect most is passion fruit with grapefruit at the start, then the tiare flower wrapped in vanilla (very sweet and synthetic) and coconut with some woods. For me, it’s like an opened coconut with pieces of passion fruit, grapefruit, and tiare flowers bathed in vanilla. If I were to assign it a character, it would be Lilo from Lilo & Stitch, since it smells ideal for her setting and suits her youth and cheerfulness perfectly. It’s not intrusive and I think it would suit any age, but it would look perfect on a girl like Lilo. Ideal for those who enjoy tropical scents even if synthetic, although as I said, it doesn’t have too much longevity.
I was expecting coconut based on the reviews, but to me, it smells like passion fruit and orange with flowers, with very little coconut and vanilla. It’s very sweet and synthetic, too intense and enveloping that I can’t stand it. If anything, it’s for very, very young girls.
I was looking for coconut based on the reviews, but to me it smells more like passion fruit, orange, and flowers, with very little coconut and vanilla. It’s very sweet, synthetic, and too intense; it’s so enveloping that I can’t handle it. Maybe just for young girls.
Maybe the blend of grapefruit, passion fruit, and coconut is a total hit; it smells like freshly squeezed coconut water, as if you just cracked open a coconut. It’s super fresh, evokes the beach in a bottle, very tropical and summery—I’m obsessed.
I love that blend of grapefruit, passion fruit, and coconut; it smells like freshly squeezed coconut water, as if someone just cracked open a coconut on the beach. It’s super fresh, tropical, and summery—I’m obsessed.
