Descripción

Cosmic Radiance by Britney Spears is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2011, this composition was created by Honorine Blanc and Harry Fremont. The top notes reveal lychee, pear, and mandarin; the heart unfolds with neroli, gardenia, jasmine, and peony; while the base notes close the structure with vanilla, musk, sandalwood, and amber.

For me, it’s the one I like least from Britney. I don’t know if it was my skin, but it doesn’t last at all; the scent disappears in a flash. My friends say it lasts forever, so in the end, it depends on your pH and skin type.

It’s very similar to the original Radiance, but with a fresher, sweeter touch. It reminds me of Justin Bieber’s first perfume since they share the same notes, though this one smells fresher and lasts longer. It lasts quite a while on me. I think it works for any season, but I use it in spring because of the freshness. I recommend it; it’s a must-have from Britney Spears. I love the bottle!

Cosmic Radiance is the only flanker in the line and follows the idea of being a star that outshines the others to make you the center of attention. According to Britney, it has tangerine, lychee, pear, gardenia, neroli, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, and night jasmine. It’s a thicker, riskier version than the original: it starts with acidic tangerine and juicy lychee, then moves to a floral heart with sharp neroli and a very velvety magnolia. It ends with powdery vanilla that recalls Ange Ou Demon (without the sweaty touch) and closes with a warm base of musk and sandalwood. Its evolution is interesting, like a journey from Lancôme’s Miracle to Ange Ou Demon, or like the dry down of Chanel’s Allure. Although it’s not as potent as promised, its rough yet humble mix gives it an interesting conceptual touch. Technically, it’s unpredictable: everything depends on your body chemistry, sillage, and longevity (in my case, about 6 hours with a potent start that drops to skin-level). It’s not ideal for summer unless it’s night, because it fades easily. Test it on skin before buying.

Cosmic Radiance is, so far, the only flanker in the line and follows the idea of the brand’s stars, but here it’s an unreal star that outshines the others, as if trying to be the center of attention. According to Britney, it features tangerine, lychee, pear, gardenia, neroli, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, and night jasmine. It’s a blurred-axis version of the original: it has more body but is less stable and more frenetic, a risky fragrance. It starts with acidic tangerine and juicy lychee, followed by a synthetic pear (which is often easy to mess up). Then it moves to a floral heart with sharp, full-bodied neroli, typical of the original Radiance, which lightens up to give way to a smooth, powdery magnolia. Finally, it leaves a powdery, sharp vanilla reminiscent of Givenchy’s Ange Ou Demon, though without the sweaty note. It ends with a warm, calming nuance of thick musk and sandalwood. It could emulate a transformation from Lancôme’s Miracle to Ange Ou Demon, and its transition to a powdery floral reminds me of the dry down of Chanel’s Allure Eau de Parfum. It’s not as potent or special as promised, but its humble yet arrogant spirit, along with that powdery floral essence, makes it a conceptual success. Technically, it’s unpredictable: longevity and sillage depend heavily on your body chemistry. In my case, it lasts about 6 hours with a powerful sillage that drops to skin-level. The environment matters too; it’s not ideal for summer (unless it’s night) because it fades easily. Test it on skin before buying.

  • It also reminds me a lot of Charlie Red. It’s like an updated ’80s floral remake. As if they wanted to give Charlie a youthful touch but didn’t quite succeed. I was expecting something more radiant and cheerful. Personally, I don’t like it, but if you like bold florals, give it a chance. The opening seems horrible to me, but the middle and dry down improve quite a bit. You can really smell the neroli. What really stands out is the longevity; it’s incredible. I wore it on my forearm yesterday before going to the beach. I showered several times in the afternoon, and when I got home, I could still smell it. Even after showering again, I could still detect a hint on my wrist.

  • It reminds me a lot of Charlie Red. It’s like an updated remake of an ’80s floral, but I feel they tried to give Charlie a youthful twist and didn’t quite pull it off. I was expecting something more radiant and cheerful, so personally, I didn’t like it, though if you’re a floral fan, give it a shot. The opening smells bad, but the heart and dry down improve significantly. You can really smell the neroli. The longevity is incredible: I wore it yesterday before going to the beach, showered several times, and when I got home, it still smelled. Even after another shower, I could still detect a trace on my wrist.

  • It’s very similar to the original Radiance, but dries down a bit sweeter; I loved it. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous—I think these are the ones that stand out the most in the entire Britney Spears collection. Another hit from her.

  • It’s a perfume I won’t forget. One of the best at a price everyone can afford. It’s cheerful, sparkling, and elegant. My best friend, who usually doesn’t like perfume, fell in love with it. What a shame it’s already discontinued.

  • I’m not going to forget this; it’s a gem at a great price: cheerful, sparkling, and elegant. Even my friend, who usually rejects perfumes, fell in love with it. What a shame it’s no longer available.
