I moved my previous review because this is the version I actually tested. The owner of a perfumery opened the door to unique fragrances I can’t find anywhere else and let me try them. This one reminds me a lot of Chanel’s Pour Monsieur: it’s an aromatic citrus with chypre touches. Upon leaving, it smells exquisitely elegant; the citrus fades quickly, giving way to floral and musky notes, while the base is woody with a very prominent oakmoss and cedar—notes it shares with Chanel. It also sounds a bit like Dior’s Eau Sauvage. Honestly, I loved it. I’ll have to go back for it because it’s a hard-to-find gem, very pleasant, and the price is irresistible. Works well in any season or setting without being intrusive. Blind buy if you like old-school aromatic woody citrus scents.

Today I tried it thanks to the owner of a perfumery who showed me several unique fragrances I can’t find anywhere else and let me sample them. It felt very similar in style to Chanel’s Pour Monsieur; it’s well-categorized as an aromatic citrus with a chypre tendency. From the first spray, it has an elegant and exquisite touch. The citrus note fades quickly, letting the floral and musky notes take over, while the woody base features a very noticeable oakmoss along with cedar, notes it shares with Pour Monsieur. I also detect a slight resemblance to Dior’s Eau Sauvage. Honestly, I absolutely loved it; I’ll definitely be back for it, especially since it’s a hard-to-find gem, very pleasant, and the price is irresistible. Perfect for any season or occasion since it’s not intrusive. I recommend blind buying for anyone who enjoys old-school aromatic woody citrus fragrances.
Smells like Chanel Monsieur but also reminds me of my nose with Myrurgia’s 1916; 85% is identical, though with different nuances. Givenchy feels more polished—the heart and base notes give a clean, floral, soapy aura. I’m not sure it’s worth paying more for almost the same thing. Still, it’s a great fragrance to wear when dressed up, not necessarily a suit, but definitely a shirt and chino pants.
