I was looking for a smoky, vanilla, and dark oriental, but I stumbled upon something unexpected. It comes out spicy and fresh with a touch of rose, followed by a sweet incense that smells like talcum soap. It reminds me of Kenzo Amour and brand-new dolls. It’s a balsamic incense with good longevity, flattering, and addictive that invites you to get closer. Edit 1-19-25: bought and confirmed; first impressions were misleading, but I’m in love and it conveys peace.
I came in expecting a smoky, vanilla, and dark oriental, but I found a fresh surprise instead. It comes out spicy with a touch of rose, then the sweet incense gives it that gray, talcum, and soapy vibe. It reminded me a lot of Kenzo Amour and even brand-new dolls. In short: a balsamic incense with vanilla. Good longevity, flattering, and addictive. Invites you to lean in and smell it. Edit: bought it; first impressions were misleading. I just fell in love, and although it’s marketed for parties, it conveys so much peace to me.
It evokes a summer party in the 70s, even though I’ve never been to one. The notes seem winter-like and heavy, but it’s the opposite: it has no sillage, isn’t warm, but has a lovely freshness at the start. Totally unisex.
What comes to mind is an outdoor disco in the 70s. And even though I’ve never been to one or lived in that era, what a thing. Based on the notes, you might imagine something heavy and wintry, but not at all. I can see myself wearing it all year because, besides not having a great sillage, it’s not too warm; it has a very nice little freshness, especially at the beginning. Totally unisex.
I’m the first to always hunt for the next ‘high’ like a perfumery junkie. I always wait for the next one to blow my mind, and sometimes I forget that a simple scent has its time and place. Although Glow has a profile seen many times (amber-vanilla), it’s no less a pretty and appropriate fragrance. It’s an amber that’s more powdery than balsamic, more elegant than solemn, and not heavy at all thanks to a fresh, non-cloying vanilla. It’s not genius, but it holds its own. It’s a bottle for any season and occasion where you don’t want to stand out but still make a good impression. Versatile for gender and age.
I’m the number one culprit for always hunting for the next ‘high’ like a perfumery junkie. I always wait for the next one to blow my mind, and sometimes I forget that a simple scent also has its time and place. Although Glow has that amber-vanilla profile, it’s a pretty and appropriate fragrance. It’s an amber that’s more powdery than balsamic, more elegant than solemn, and not heavy at all thanks to a fresh, non-cloying vanilla. It’s not genius, but it holds its own. It’s a bottle I’d reach for in any season for occasions where you don’t want to stand out too much, but still make a good impression. Versatile for gender and age.
Just tried it and it smells like bitter orange blossom with vanilla and amber. It looks gorgeous!
Just smelled it and felt it smells like bitter orange blossom with vanilla and amber. It’s cute.
