My mom was gifted this, and it’s a shame: a hideous floral water, light to the point of boredom, with that insidious fake peony aftertaste typical of Zara Home room sprays. While the description compares it to Chloé’s Love Story, they have nothing in common; Love Story smells natural and expensive, whereas this Knot Eau Florale smells like a cheap Hamptons-style stick diffuser. It’s dispensable, outrageously priced, and way overhyped.
I tried it four years ago and loved it, but didn’t buy it until I ordered it online. Now that I own it, I confirm it’s a gem: a perfect floral-citrus balance. Neroli dominates the opening, with a touch of mandarin and a rich, fresh cedar dry down. I don’t get much peony, but it’s ideal for those seeking something subtle and fresh. Longevity and projection 8-9, scent 10/10.
