It comes to replace Oligarch Parfum.
I had high expectations and ended up with a huge disappointment. Thank God I ordered a 2ml sample instead of blindly buying a 450-euro 50ml bottle. It’s an excellent, high-quality scent, a true Roja… but it smells incredibly like Terre Hermès. It feels quite redundant and doesn’t offer anything new. On my skin, it’s like a TH but more natural, much softer and creamier. I think, just like Oligarch, this might be overrated. But like art, if you’re willing to pay for something, you either value it or you have extra money. I’ll keep searching and exploring more of Roja… this one isn’t for me.
What a beautiful perfume, exquisite and unique. It caught me the moment I smelled it. It’s a must-have for any collection. If you can afford it, buy it. It has a slight nod to Terre d’Hermès but it’s not the same; it has its own personality. It’s straight into my Top 5.
Excellent and gorgeous.
Excellent and beautiful.
I tested it yesterday like this: two sprays of Isola plus one of Hacivat, and the result was pure beauty. My wife loved it.
I tried it out yesterday like this: 2 sprays of Isola plus 1 of Hacivat = a stunning scent. My wife loved it.
The fragrance is a masterpiece… but damn, the bottle doesn’t fall behind either. A solid 10 for both the scent and the packaging. If not for the price, this would be my signature scent here in Tenerife (today, February 9th, it’s 26 degrees).

Nothing to do with Terre, don’t get me wrong: Terre is a huge icon, but they play in different families. Isola Blue opens with juicy citrus, very red. Wood notes quickly emerge, giving it incredible balance, super masculine. It’s mixed very well like most of Roja’s lineup and has great versatility. I noticed part of the Burlington 1819 profile, but less sweet and more balanced. Definitely another Roja gem, don’t let it slip away.
This is 100% Oligarch. I have an almost-finished 2019 bottle and a new Isola Blue, and they’re the same. They don’t look alike, they’re identical. I’m smelling both sprays at once and notice no difference. It’s a logical rebrand. I thought I was losing this gem, but it’s all in the same line: sophisticated, deep, sensual, with a juicy and bright opening. A winner for hot or spring days that makes me feel great every time I wear it. I don’t think I’ll find another like it in the citrus family.
Thank goodness I tested the sample before buying the bottle. It resembles the discontinued Oligarch, but for me, it’s not the same; it lacks nuances and has a greener touch than Isola Blue. They match 95%, but they’re not exact and have nothing to do with Terre. Zero points.
Luckily I tested it on a sample before buying the bottle. Yes, it resembles the discontinued Oligarch, but for me, it’s not the same. There are missing nuances in this new version that the old Oligarch had; I notice a greener touch here that Isola Blue doesn’t have. They match roughly 95%, but they’re not exact. And nothing to do with Terre, absolutely nothing! 0.
I can’t stop thinking about it: Isola Blu is almost identical to L’Eau d’Issey Miyake. The difference is bergamot and lemon versus yuzu, but they’re the same with certain nuances. Rich and fresh, no doubt.
I’ve been using it for days and don’t notice much difference from Terre d’Hermès. Compared to the sample, it smells better, perhaps due to some natural oils giving it a rounder opening, but it’s the same scent. I don’t understand the price jump between the two.
This smells like another level, nothing like typical citrus. Give it time to discover its nuances. Perfect for a vacation in Sardinia or Mykonos with a relaxed outfit: Hermes sandals, linen, an open shirt, and Tom Ford sunglasses.
Bought the bottle and initially thought it was a fake until I stored it for a year; upon trying it again, wow. Now everything is clear: lemon, coconut, green apple, and florals. The blend is complex and totally worth not throwing away the sample.
