His Confession by Lattafa Perfumes is a woody oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2024, this creation unfolds an olfactory pyramid where the top notes reveal lavender, cinnamon, and mandarin. The heart of the composition is sustained by iris, benzoin, cypress, and mahogany, while the base notes close the experience with vanilla, tonka bean, amber, incense, cedar, and patchouli.

Very good perfume. Besides the beauty of the bottle, the scent has that predominant iris at the beginning that can give a light makeup-like sensation but doesn’t overwhelm at all, super wearable. Then the vanilla starts to appear, which is what remains mostly in the fragrance, leaving a slight trail of iris. I would use it for daily wear; I don’t see it as very evening-appropriate since it doesn’t have very strong projection and average longevity, making it ideal for using at school or work smelling sweet without bothering anyone. Edit: it smells much better in the air than when you bring your nose close to the skin; I recommend applying it on someone else to test how it feels from the outside.
Great fragrance. It seems to me that the iris is very far from the Dior Homme Intense with which it is compared, however, it’s an exquisite iris accompanied by a lactonic and sweet sensation. Very pleasant both up close and from a distance. I think Lattafa has been fine-tuning their formulas and went for big, without being one of those Arab scents that fill rooms; on the contrary, they invite you to get closer. Now, as an iris lover, I think this is one of the most versatile fragrances with this note. 10/10.
Would it be worth buying this if I already have Reserve Privée?
I bought it for the bottle, which is absolutely beautiful. However, regarding the scent, that iris smells ‘rotten’ to me, so it stops being elegant and becomes quite uncomfortable and even ugly in my opinion. As a lover of Dior Homme 2012, I always think of that clean, bright, pristine, high-quality iris, and this is like a dirty, wilted version, typical of replicas that use extremely low-quality iris. I would only recommend it for the bottle.
First off, its huge similarity to Dior Homme Intense EDP; I’d say it’s 90%, hard to tell them apart when side by side. Compared to Homme Intense, His Confession feels more linear, has shorter longevity, and dries down sweeter than Dior. Although I wouldn’t wear it on hot, humid days, I think it’s quite versatile. Price 9/10, Longevity 7/10 (about 5 hours on skin), Scent 9/10.
Good evening, community! I think I’ve fallen in love. If you adore sweet scents, this bottle and fragrance have captured me. It has a magnetism in my nose that empowers me; those who love this world know perfectly… Recommended if you don’t care if it’s similar to another! This thing has me hooked and it’s already climbing to my Top 5. It’s an Arab perfume that truly scores 10, and ladies go crazy for it. Scent, trail, longevity—they all get a 10. We love it <3
Forget for a moment that this perfume comes in what looks like an office Secret Santa gift, designed by someone with PowerPoint Comic Sans taste. His Confession by Lattafa hits with all the drama of a lit birthday cake: thick vanilla, invasive cinnamon, and attitude-filled incense. Everything is over the top, no diplomacy. Then comes the iris, or it tries to, because this isn’t the iris of Dior or Prada; it’s a dim cousin from far away. That said, if you don’t want to be a Viennese dandy and are looking for power, spicy sweetness, and a low-cost gothic vibe, this doesn’t disappoint. It works for the price, and much better than other clones that brag about what they can’t deliver. I think it’s worth the cost, smells more expensive than it should, and the bottle… well, you can keep it in a drawer and pretend you never saw it. Like that drunk email you sent to HR.
I own both Dior Homme Intense and this, and I have to say I prefer this one to the original. I guess the citrus notes are what set it apart. Obviously, the iris smells a bit synthetic (especially compared to Dior), but as a whole fragrance, I’m sticking with His Confession. The only downside is longevity; it doesn’t last as long for me.
Absolutely, it’s a Chinese clone. It smells like nothing; they must have cut the quality. It has no longevity and zero projection. I’ll have to buy elsewhere sometime.
It’s gorgeous. I went to try other perfumes, but when I saw this bottle, I had to smell it. Unlike most, I bought it immediately because of its exquisite scent. I loved it. Out of everything I tried that day, this stood out above the other Arab perfumes. Obviously, the beautiful bottle sealed the deal. I’m not comparing it to Dior Homme Intense because they smell different.
Blind buy due to the hype, and I must say, I love it. I find it sweeter and more monotonous in the dry-down compared to Dior Homme Intense EDP. I own both, though I prefer the Dior; His Confession feels more versatile and informal, so you can keep both without worry. The only negative (in my opinion) is that it lasts very little—2-3 hours on skin, weak projection, though present during the first hour.
Okay… I just bought Dior Homme Intense. I tested it in-store and thought, ‘No way, impossible.’ I got home, grabbed both, and my mind was blown by how similar they are. His Confession seems about 90% identical to DHI. That iris might not be as creamy, but they’re on the same wavelength. I recommend it for anyone wanting an olfactory experience similar to DHI.
A good alternative to Givenchy Gentleman EDP, which is more intense and rough with that iris load and other notes. Maybe it’s the right alternative to Black Tie Céline, though I haven’t smelled it. Moderate projection, good longevity at close range; it’s a mature, elegant unisex-masculine scent. Its iris steers away from the Dior and Prada style, making it more wearable for quiet moments and indoor settings—it doesn’t invade, but draws attention with its friendly warmth in winter. The iris is noticeable but not exaggerated, well-blended. For me, it’s a better-balanced scent than Lattafa Qaaed Intense. Recommended purchase for the price. Cheers. It’s not the ‘dry’ iris style of Dior Homme Intense; this is more Givenchy, softened.
To those who say it smells like Dior Homme Intense, where’s the makeup scent? It doesn’t exist. It also doesn’t resemble Givenchy Gentleman; I think it’s more like Black Celine, deduced from the notes. Finally, it’s a great perfume, very pleasant, and generally good performance.
Easy-to-wear fragrance. The bottle is nice for collectors. Lasts about 5 hours, but projection is low. Final rating: 7.9/10.
It’s a rich, soft, floral perfume with a slight talc note—elegant, formal, executive, featuring a delicate iris. It lacks the quality and definition of Dior’s Iris, but it aims for that style; however, Dior has a woody base while this one hits its own goals. Undoubtedly seductive and elegant, perfect for events or breaking hearts in the office. Since it’s not invasive, it’s versatile; I think it shines more on cool days.
I tested it in a store with no expectations, and as soon as it came out, I thought, ‘What a beautiful scent, come with me!’ It doesn’t remind me of Dior Homme, but rather Gentleman Reserve Privé. Its iris is very gentle, sweet, vanilla-like, and gives a warm, cozy feeling that’s super easy to wear. I think it’s one of the most beautiful Arabic perfumes I’ve ever bought.
I tried it back in the day and, in my opinion, it’s excellent. It has that balance between maturity and youthfulness that makes it versatile and pleasant for anyone. Its dry-down is spectacular: sweet but not cloying, ideal for dates or formal night outings. If you’re serious but with a distinctive touch, this scent will fit you like a glove.
First off: at the local price ($117), this isn’t making it into my collection. That said, it’s not a specific clone; instead, it borrows nuances from other fragrances (like Dior Homme Intense) to carve its own path. The opening with mandarin, cinnamon, and lavender is possibly my favorite. I’d love to analyze its dry-down and performance, but at this price point here, I’ll just pass.
If you like Dior Homme and Gentleman EDP mixed together, this is for you, though it leans more toward the latter. It’s sweeter and sexier, with tonka bean and vanilla, plus a fresh touch of mandarin. To my taste, it could use a more potent iris; with that, it would get closer to Dior Homme—more masculine and mysterious. Worth a try.
Not my taste… too sweet, too much powder, too much vanilla. I feel like I’m putting baby powder all over my body. It’s just a matter of preference; I’m going to gift it. It’s an aroma that reminds me of a grandmother.
Honestly, I tried it expecting it to smell like Dior Homme Intense, since everyone said that when it launched, and the truth is, it didn’t give me those vibes. Besides that, it’s a different perfume, but it’s not bad. Quite powdery, you can feel the iris, but it’s not the makeup iris from Dior Homme; it feels quite masculine. I sprayed it twice on my arm, and after 10 hours, it’s still there—obviously not intense, just a skin trail. I’d say 7 hours is perfect. I’d buy it to use it… no. I’d buy it just for the bottle, since it looks beautiful in its presentation, and as they say in my home: ‘To impress the ladies’.
Definitely not a blind buy. At first, it smells like baby powder or that foot powder. After a few hours, it turns into warm cinnamon, like a cinnamon tea. It wasn’t my taste, nor did I love it—it was indifferent. Worth noting that I showered, and the scent on my wrists didn’t fade; it lasts quite a bit on skin and even more on clothes. It’s a precise fragrance for those who like this type. I repeat, not a blind buy; the price is average for an Arabic perfume. At least in my country, Peru, it’s not among the cheapest, but also not expensive. Try it before buying.
By no means is this a blind buy; I don’t know who would want to smell like this. I hated it; it doesn’t smell like anything they claim it resembles.
At first, I didn’t get the hype. Once it dried down, I loved it. It’s not for everyone, but those with a good nose will appreciate it. It smells like a distinguished gentleman. Highly recommended.
You can tell from the bottle that the taste is terrible and what awaits you is awful. As others have said, it smells like baby powder. The unbelievable part is that it pretends to be sexy. If you were in a horror movie, this is what the living room would smell like. It seems innocent but unsettling, as if they’re coming for you. You look at the bottle and it seems like some evil spirit is sealed inside, and the curse it releases is that horrible perfume.
Rich and warm aroma thanks to the incense. One of my favorite fragrances, with a sweet touch of vanilla and cinnamon without being over the top. On dry-down on skin, it’s milky and powdery, very delicious. It’s sensual, recommended for dates and customer-facing jobs like sales.
I absolutely love His Confession—beautiful bottle and rich aroma. It starts with cinnamon and mandarin, then as it dries, the cinnamon stays while iris, lavender, and vanilla join in, leaving a warm trail. It lasts 10 to 15 hours, sticking to clothes so much I had to wash my jacket. Once I covered myself with a blanket and it still smelled. The sillage and projection are moderate. Ideal for temperatures below 22 degrees; in the heat, it’s bothersome, but in mild weather, it’s incredible. Perfect for rainy days—warm and cozy. It looks elegant, suits me at 22, but for anyone under 20, it feels too formal. Can be worn daily with care in mild climates. Smells like makeup due to the iris, which makes it distinctive. A good perfume, but not for everyone.
These dupes are fooling the guys.
Mm, somewhat similar to Dior Homme but different. The mandarin makes the difference here. A rich, semi-formal sweetness. I see it as versatile. Lasts 6-7 hours, projects well for the first 2. Fixed on price, very affordable. It’s okay, but not a blind buy. Overall, never buy blind.
Iris is trendy right now, and here it is—that same vibe you’ve seen in Dior, Prada, and Givenchy. If you know that scent, His Confession won’t surprise you. It’s unisex, leaning slightly feminine. For me, it’s a yes if you’ve never smelled a perfume with iris as the star. Teens should stay away; it definitely won’t work for them. Iris smells like makeup and cedar shavings. EDIT: It evolves beautifully on skin, becoming creamy and powdery. While the longevity is weak, it’s great for beginners exploring the world of iris.
It feels unisex, slightly more feminine. Delicate, not cloying or sweet, a bit herbal. I smell a lot of iris, like a certain makeup scent, a bit talc-like. Youthful and fresh.
Bought blind and disappointing at first, but after using it several times, I got into it. Upon spraying, mandarin followed by spicy, strong cinnamon with a feminine, synthetic iris. As it dries, the iris becomes talc-like, not creamy as I expected, but the cinnamon and vanilla make a difference. Mahogany and cypress come out, giving a clean, green touch, a bit synthetic. Iris dominates over vanilla and tonka, with bitter incense and cedar making it masculine when dry. Totally unisex. Average-good longevity, can be overwhelming in heat due to its strength. Not a blind buy, don’t let the bottle fool you.
His Confession for beginners: a high-impact perfume, both by name and by that dirty scent hiding behind the iris. Reminds me of Calvin Klein’s Obsession for Men, but here it’s better executed, more modern, and less timeless. It’s bold and captivating, embodying modern masculinity. Perfect for men seeking confidence, elegance, and mystery, ensuring a statement anywhere.
Without a doubt, one of the best Arabic fragrances I own. Better than Dior Homme and Gentleman. The dry-down is incredible. 9/10.
I understand why some say it smells like makeup or is feminine, but I think that’s the whole point: it skews unisex but has something that makes it masculine, so both men and women appreciate it. It’s sweet and attractive, but not a “leg warmer.” I feel it’s warm, perfect for winter, not generic. Projection is normal; if you’re with someone, they’ll notice, but it won’t flood the room. On my skin, it lasts 4-6 hours and smells more masculine on skin than on paper. It’s rich, for smelling like a distinguished gentleman, yet also youthful, mature, and charismatic. I wear it for dates or night outs and always get compliments.
For me, a pretty good dupe for styles like Gentleman, Homme, The One, etc. I guess it’s the iris and that talc-like scent. I really like it, and for the price, you can’t ask for more. The bottle is gorgeous.
At first, it smells like alcohol, but the magic kicks in quickly: comforting vanilla that isn’t sweet, like being hugged by patchouli and lavender dusted with cinnamon. Fresh, spiced, warm, and ambered, very sensual. Then come sweet tobacco leaves, incense, tonka bean, iris, cypress, and mandarin. Sometimes you get notes of toasted sugar and precious woods. Powdery, creamy, balsamic, and patchouli-heavy, with a touch of suede. Nocturnal, seductive, and elegant. I wear it in autumn and winter. It’s unisex, exquisite, and smells more expensive than its price tag. Average trail and projection, with 9-10 hours of longevity. Highly recommended.
This is a beast mode fragrance; I never get tired of smelling it or just dabbing it on the cap to keep the memory alive. It’s that scent you want to keep smelling and that refuses to fade. It has me hooked; I waited months to give my final verdict. It smells like male elegance at its absolute peak, guaranteed to get compliments. I’m not exaggerating; I say this to help anyone reading this make the right decision. The aura it projects is inexplicable, a true masterpiece. Just say it: buy it, brother, you won’t regret it.
Complex and definitely not a blind buy. A novice nose might be startled by the iris, thinking it smells like makeup or powder, but it’s actually elegant, vanilla-scented, and exquisite. Perfect for dinner dates or suit-and-tie outings. Longevity and projection are average, but more than enough.
