Went into the Hermès store and couldn’t help but buy it. Overall, it reminds me of a more feminine and refined version of Paprika Brasil, with an intense black tea note in the middle, trying to evoke Kelly Caleche but without that intense skin scent the other one had. It’s much more wearable than the previous ones, perfect for spring, very classy, personal, and ideal for scenting fabric and leather items. Since I’m a big fan of Cuir D’Ange, I do notice a hint of that leather here, but very subtle. It’s perfectly blended to smell like a brand-new perfume while still carrying classic Hermès notes; I detect that delicious tea in the middle—a powdery tea, like a mix of black tea with lychee and a soft paprika base—that reminds me of well-crafted fine leather. A delight, very elegant.
A work of art whose presentation is a bit confusing. Osmanthe Yunnan might be Ellena’s ultimate minimalist masterpiece. A perfume where the price justifies every sensation it awakens: a universal citrus-fruit beauty cosmos recognized instantly, because that is its essence and refined minimalism, faithful to what is beautiful: that scent kept in the deepest, most unconscious part of memory… an undeniably beautiful aroma. Denying the beauty of Osmanthe Yunnan would be like denying your own existence. A masterpiece whose main note is the Chinese osmanthus flower, but whose essence lies in giving form and scent to the simplest and noblest aspects of the human condition. Osmanthe Yunnan, the pinnacle of purest minimalism.
A wonderful fragrance—simple, feminine, and very light. I could only grab the 15ml tester because the price at the boutique is insane. Hoping to get the full size someday. It gives me peace, tranquility, and sweetness. A mix of osmanthus, tea, and fruit that’s simply incredible. I love it.
Stopped by to pick up Ambre Narguilé but it just didn’t work for me, so I tried a few other scents from the brand. I settled on Osmanthee Yunnan because I trust osmanthus. What a mistake! I was expecting that delicacy and elegance everyone talks about, but this smells like dirty osmanthus. It’s floral and powdery with something ethereal, but there’s an animal note that completely takes over on my skin. I don’t get fine leather; it just smells dirty. Maybe my nose isn’t cut out for animal accords, and I can’t blend that barnyard scent with the floral bursts. It brings to mind mornings with my grandfather surrounded by his goats.
