This is the first Ramón Monegal perfume I’ve tried and it absolutely blew my mind; now I want to smell all the others. It doesn’t smell like anything I’ve tried before, yet somehow feels like I’ve always known it. It’s rose, oud, a hint of spices, and musk; it seems simple but it’s a beast. Smells like luxury soap, a modern classic. It reminds me of Spain, of a ballerina with a fan and heels, and me, just the spectator, am so happy I found it. If Mr. Monegal reads this, thank you for this talent. I recommend it blindly and can’t wait to get the full bottle soon.

Along with Faisa, these scents caught me off guard. They’re fresh and cheerful, perfect for hot days. On my skin, the rose note doesn’t dominate as much. Definitely worth trying.

It starts with a strong spicy note, and as it dries down, an animalic side comes through (probably the oud) with a floral base. It lasts about 10 hours, which is a beast for me since my perfumes usually fade quickly. The projection is brutal for the first two or three hours. I see this more for cold nights because of the warmth it radiates.

Hand in Hand is Monegal’s take on the classic rose-oud, and while it sounds intense, it’s surprisingly wearable here. It has an elegant vibe, with a soft yet dense texture and a touch of darkness that gives it character. I don’t usually love ouds much, but this one deserves a try, even for starting a collection. Smells great, lasts long, and leans a bit masculine, ideal for formal events. Rating: 7/10

I’m not usually a huge oud fan, but this one deserves a try, even if you’re just starting to collect. It smells great, lasts long, and leans slightly masculine—perfect for formal events. Rating: 7/10
