  • Sweet, like a delicious freshly baked cake. Very long-lasting and feminine. I love it, but not for everyday wear or summer.

  • Hanae Mori is an oriental fragrance with gourmand facets. Some smell it like a strawberry cream dessert, but to me it’s strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and currants in a bowl with powdered sugar and a hint of vanilla. The enigma is that it smells like vanilla without actually containing it; the blend of acidic fruits with the creaminess of sandalwood creates a sophisticated vanilla illusion. It’s a dry, opaque vanilla, not cloying. I perceive it as talc-like, not baby powder, but rather powdered sugar or shortbread cookies. The fruit’s acidity keeps it fresh despite its oriental nature. It projects tenderness, warmth, tranquility, and elegance, like a hug. It has a shabby-chic, vintage, and adorably disheveled vibe. If I could touch it, it would feel velvety like a peach or an angora sweater. I love wearing it in winter to cuddle up. It projects well but lacks longevity on my skin; I have to reapply a couple of times, perhaps layering it with vanilla body cream.

  • Sweet, sweet, sweet. Later I discovered the softer EDT version with a powdery undertone. But my first experience was with an EDP sample that lasted all day and gave me a headache for the same amount of time.

  • SOE GARELIK

It has a strong presence, perfect for an intense, passionate, yet sweet woman. It’s one of my favorites.

  • SOE GARELIK

A perfume with real body, perfect for a strong, captivating, and passionate woman, yet sweet at the same time. One of my favorites.

  • Delicious! Just bought it and realized I’m a sucker for powdery perfumes. It’s not sweet to me; it smells more like roses, but it’s absolutely delicious.

  • Delicious. I just bought it and realized I love powdery perfumes. It doesn’t smell sweet to me, but rather like roses, and it’s absolutely rich.

  • Bought it blind and what a huge mistake. Reviews said it was sweet and exquisite, smelling like strawberry dessert, but I got a real letdown. I’m not saying it’s bad, but I just don’t like rose notes, and they hit you right from the start. It doesn’t smell like vanilla or dessert at all. It even gave me a headache—I have no idea what I’ll do with it.

  • I bought it blindly and what a mistake. Reviews described it as sweet and exquisite, smelling like a strawberry dessert, and I was let down. I’m not saying it’s bad, simply the rose notes don’t appeal to me and they’re noticeable from the start. It doesn’t smell like vanilla or dessert. It gave me a headache, I don’t know what I’ll do with it.

  • I own the EDT (Pink Butterfly) and the EDP (Blue Butterfly), and for me, they are worlds apart. The EDT is innocent, light, and unfolds a red berry sweetness, especially strawberry, throughout its entire evolution without being loud. It’s a delicate cloud with a faint vanilla base. The EDP is creamy, heavily vanilla-scented, and woody—very typical of the 90s; it smells the same from start to finish with no red fruit. Pure vanilla and wood. They share a name, but the difference in scent goes far beyond concentration.

On my skin, the fruity notes vanish, leaving a floral woody scent with powdery vanilla. It’s sweet and feminine but delicate, nothing headache-inducing. It was my favorite when my daughter was born because it feels like a soft, loving hug. It lasts about 6 hours with good projection, then around 3 hours on the skin with that sweet vanilla and sandalwood trail.

  • Review of the EDP (Blue Butterfly). On my skin, the fruity note doesn’t come through; it’s floral and woody with a powdery vanilla. It’s sweet and feminine but very delicate (doesn’t give me a headache). It was my favorite when my daughter was born; it wraps around me softly and lovingly. It lasts 6 hours with good sillage, then about 3 more hours as a sweet vanilla and sandalwood dry down.
