The marketing never hooked me; I thought it would be an overwhelming sweetness, but buying it on sale was a surprise: no cloyingness at all. It’s a delicious floral with a freshly laundered scent, perfect for the office in the mornings. I don’t detect the spices, just lilac and patchouli that make it perfect for everyday wear. I don’t feel guilty; rather, I feel like a good, clean, innocent girl—maybe guilty of being too feminine. The bottle is gorgeous for the vanity or pulling out of your purse to reapply, though in excess the amber makes it more intense, suitable for night when things get hot.
