What does this fragrance smell like? The notes don’t list amber, but I can feel it clearly. It’s an ambered apple… pffff, spectacular!
Good perfume, but I wouldn’t buy it. Why? I think it’s an eau fraîche version of Hacivat; when it dries down, it remotely approaches Layton, and on the opening it tastes a bit like Cedrat Boise. I already have those DNA profiles, plus the longevity falls short. I see it as a mishmash of loud perfumes. Does it smell good? Yes. Does it feel high quality? Yes. But I already have those DNA profiles. The dry-down also seemed weird to me; it moves away from the initial citrus and brings in the mature part with the oak moss. There’s a point where I don’t understand this perfume, nor its target audience or occasion.
To me, it’s a mix of Y EDT and Montblanc Explorer; it smells good but doesn’t last long.
Greenley by PdM probably made more noise due to its name changes before launch than because of its scent. Personally, it has good things from different worlds; a very easy-to-wear hybrid. Sillage: slightly sweet and woody apple, with moss and woods that leave a subtle and pleasant trail. Sometimes it turns earthy and green, but always relaxed and versatile. Amber and light wood base; you can notice a Marly DNA if you want. Reminds a bit of the Aventus DNA, Y, or Layton, even of Zoologist’s Panda for that pseudo-earthly apple accord, but the result is good and versatile, slightly masculine, ideal for temperate to warm climates, could be a signature. My only reservation: it doesn’t project as much as I expected. I like it, I’d buy it, but I prefer others from the brand. Rating: 8/10.
One of my favorites for spring-summer. A simple but incredibly rich aroma for me, and it’s not rare to win compliments. If you’re looking for something ‘very niche’ (with that smell of burnt house and animal stains that make you think of black holes), don’t look here; but you can definitely feel the quality (though I’m not sure if it justifies the price), and it lasts well on my skin.
One of my selections for spring-summer. A not very complex but incredibly rich aroma for me, and it’s not rare to get positive comments. Extremely soft, not due to poor longevity but because it lacks character; it smells like total innocence, like a baby perfume. The scent is excellent and the quality is noticeable from a mile away; it has a unique point. I wish they had boosted the green, acidic apple note; it would be fresh, incredible, and full of personality, à la Issey Miyake. But it stays neutral and muffled. In short: probably the best perfume ever created for kids.
What can I say about this beauty? An exquisite scent, many compliments, ideal for summer, spring, and why not autumn. It has an amazing trail and is felt all the time (I put it on at 9 AM and it’s 11 PM and it’s still projecting as if I just put it on). Highly recommended and the quality is supreme.
Looking for something innovative? Forget this. If what you want is freshness that projects and lasts, with top-tier ingredients even if they’re mainstream, this is where you are.
The first Marly perfume I tried was Layton Exclusif, and I fell in love so much that I was determined that if I bought from that house, it would be that one. Then, by chance, I had the opportunity to get this bottle blind, choosing it for its versatility. The first day I liked it, but I didn’t love it; at first, it seemed basic, and for its price, it wasn’t worth much. I wore it and after 3 hours I couldn’t smell it anymore, but my surprise was that someone at 7 hours asked about my perfume, amazed. The next day I used it again and the same thing, every time. To make the story short, after several tries, I love it. It’s a charming, easy-to-use scent with good longevity. Maybe it’s not beast mode, and what happened that day was olfactory fatigue or that, thinking about Layton, it seemed too restrained to me. It’s a perfume that others like, versatile, for any season but looks best in summer and spring, during the day. Without a doubt, it has become one of my favorites and one I always want in my collection. I like it so much that it was the perfume I chose for my wedding.
The first time I smelled it from the bottle, I sensed freshly cut grass with lots of green apple. I applied it to my hand and loved it from the first minute. It’s a green, citrusy scent with lots of green apple. I bought a decant and I love it; pity it’s so expensive; I understand quality justifies it, but I find it excessive. It lasts over 10 hours on my skin and projects more than 4; I got a compliment 4 hours after applying it.
The first time I smelled it from the bottle, I sensed freshly cut grass with lots of green apple. I applied it to my hand and loved it from the first minute; it’s green, citrusy, and packed with green apple. I bought a decant and I love it; pity it’s so expensive, I understand quality justifies it, but I find it excessive. It lasts more than 10 hours on skin and projects for more than 4 hours; I got compliments after 4 hours of application.
I tried it with a 10 ml decant. It’s rich, energetic, an aromatic energy boost and cleanliness, but nothing that leaves you impacted with an otherworldly scent. It’s like mixing Pravia Hay with LE SANCY green apple soap and Light Blue by DG… sorry if I offend Parfums de Marly fans… good luck, don’t spend on the 100 ml bottle, you’d miss the chance to buy another that truly makes me happy, like Iris Cedre Prada… yes, angels smell, haha.
A very pleasant fragrance, green with herbs and green apple, juicy with a touch of earthiness. Very nice. But it still feels like a designer scent that’s too expensive for what they ask. It reminds me of Light Blue for women but with an axe base, lacking the shine and quality of Nishane.
Good for daily use in hot weather.
To me, this smells like a mojito with top-quality red fruits. Currently, it’s the best thing I have for hot days. 10/10.
It doesn’t smell bad; quite the opposite. But that strong note of wood and moss when it dries (on my skin) is hard to wear. I see it as a blind buy because everyone close to me has liked it. I don’t get how people say it smells like a mojito, haha. I think I’ll sell it.
I never usually trust critics, but I’m listening here: Greenley is an elegant delight. Even though it’s green, it breaks the mold; the citrus notes don’t fade after an hour but last 4-6 hours before settling into a fresh, clean base that lingers until 12. Perfect for spring and summer, with clean clothes and a business casual style. If you spray 8 times, you feel powerful. It’s versatile, fresh, and women love it. It truly lasts and projects.
I never pay attention to reviewers, but this time, listen to me. Greenley is delicious and elegant; if it’s green, it goes beyond that. Normally citrus opens up great and then fades out, but here they persist for 4-6 hours and then evolve into a fresh, clean base that lasts up to 12 hours. I recommend it for spring-summer, dressed up; with 8 sprays, you feel powerful. Crisp white shirt, business casual, totally daytime, versatile, elegant, fresh; women are fascinated by it. It lasts and projects well.
Neither here nor there. I had high hopes for Greenley based on reviews and bought it blind at a good price, but I wouldn’t even give it 50€. It’s terrible in longevity: lasts about 4 hours, projects well for the first hour and a half, then fades. It smells good, maybe a bit mature, but at this price there are thousands that crush it. I’m not that critical; I always look for the good stuff, but for a mainstream brand like PDM, this is the bare minimum. Scent 8/10, longevity 3/10, projection 6/10, trail 5/10. If Hugo Boss had released it, no one would talk about it so much, but with PDM the hype is off the charts.
Pleasant but fairly generic aroma; it smells like any designer perfume. Why pay what it costs?
Following up on @kkkccc’s comment, I’ll go a step further. The instant I sprayed it, Versace Man Eau Fraiche came to mind, and frankly, paying 5 or 6 times more for an extremely similar scent… no way. That said, I love the smell, just as much as Versace.
I applied it on skin in hot weather. What I smell most is a citrus tangerine, bergamot, and a slightly sweet green apple touch. It’s not listed, but I detect quite a bit of lavender. In short, it smells like lavender-scented soap infused with tangerine, bergamot, and green apple. It’s the scent of a freshly showered man with those pleasant citrus fruity touches.
A super disappointing perfume I bought blindly based on good TikTok reviews. The scent reminds me of falling while playing soccer in the garden and smelling the grass—simply terrible. Parfums de Marly is my favorite brand, but this and Kalan are extremely bad and I wouldn’t recommend them. It doesn’t project well but lasts a long time. Avoid this perfume and go for Sedley or Percival instead.
On the dry down, it smells very similar to Tommy Impact EDT. I was a bit disappointed by that aspect.
I was gifted a decant: the dusty green apple and citrus/green top notes were amazing, but I can’t handle the dry down. I get a damp sensation that I unfortunately can’t stand.
A fragrance where green apple and herbal notes (moss, grass) are the absolute stars. Powdery notes, musk, and resin complement that green tone. In my case, it’s not for me, though I can sense the quality. Test before buying, and the price is extremely high for what it offers.
Without checking the notes: starts green and salty, then becomes woody and citrusy. It doesn’t smell bad, but I’m not a fan.
The herbal top notes suit me perfectly; I only smell apple and then herbal elements, even getting a green tea vibe despite it not being listed. Later, it dries down to a powdery base with a sweet touch. Unlike others, the herbal opening didn’t work for me, but the clean dry-down does.
Calabria Bergamot is a delight, perfect for a Saturday breakfast on the terrace with family. Fresh, green, like it just came out of the shower.
It was the fragrance I was looking for: green, citrusy, fresh, delicious. It radiates a lot of freshness and is very versatile and elegant. Perfect for summer and spring. P.S.: The dry-down disappointed me because it reminded me of a perfume called AHLI KARPOS, which I don’t like.
It’s a wow fragrance, an exquisite aroma, a revitalizing salad of fresh green aromatic fruits in a damp forest garden, but the price is extremely high and I only used the 10ml decant. However, I saw a data point that Aether Fragrance World said it was similar and bought it; it could indicate a 90% similarity, with little mandarin, I’d say more earthy. Now Aether says of something that leaves you suspended, like anesthetized by the charm of smelling this freshness of ingredients, which is exactly what this perfume achieves. 10 out of 10 for my personal taste; its fixation and projection are 7 hours at a meter radius, meaning enough.
A very rich citrus.
Wow! From the very first moment I smelled it, I loved it: a perfectly treated citrus combined with that green apple that adds a sweet touch, preventing it from being such an intense citrus, plus the cedar that gives it that woody vibe. An exquisite fragrance. I would completely recommend spending the €265 it costs; I’d even put it on a blind buy safe list. Projection: 7.5/10; for many people, it doesn’t project enough, though on my skin it projects perfectly over a meter. Longevity: 10/10; despite being a very fresh citrus fragrance, it lasts quite a while, reaching 10-12 hours in summer with great projection. Scent: 10/10, a very distinct and sophisticated aroma, you can’t go wrong, a complete work of art that constantly attracts compliments. Price: €2.65 per ml, which is the average price for a niche fragrance of this level, so it doesn’t seem out of the ordinary for what it offers.
Greenley is what happens when someone wants to make a green and fresh perfume without looking like the grocer down the street. It’s like if a Granny Smith had done crossfit, bathed in moss, and then greeted you from a French château garden. It lasts just enough to not bore you and leaves without making a scene, like the elegant guest who only came to try the dessert. Very usable, very clean, very yes but no. It doesn’t excite, but it impresses, like the guy wearing slip-on shoes without socks in April. Do you enjoy the best apple if the piece costs €50? Then this could be your perfume. If it hurts your wallet and you prefer to save for other PdM jewels, it’s dispensable.
Delicious for men. Fresh, citrusy, sparkling, and turns enveloping, woody. Kind of like a crystal clear apple juice that lasts a breath, explodes in the initial phase, then opens into a creamy sensation, with a tiny floral touch (for me, yes, subtle violet). Also somewhat fruity, lightly powdery, finishing in green fern tones that vibrate and deepen with a very soft wood. It’s a caressing aroma. On a man, it would make me want to smell it continuously. In fact, I can say that in its men’s range, it’s delicious, but on my skin, I don’t like it. It seems like a well-crafted, simple fragrance, with no pretension beyond being an appetite-opening, elegant scent. Good projection, invites you to get closer; good longevity.
I love Greenley! It’s become one of my favorites for spring-summer, though I wouldn’t recommend it during extreme heatwaves. One of the first times I’ve perceived all the notes described on Fragrantica, at least in the opening. You get a mandarin-orange type citrus, plus bergamot and apple. The opening is fantastic: fruity, citrusy, fresh, with a touch of sweetness, but with a well-made feel and high quality. The apple (typical crisp green and slightly acidic) lingers, while the citrus fades within minutes. In fact, the green apple is the star (hence the bottle color). Soon after, soft woods (cedar and cashmere) emerge, wrapping it in an elegant sweetness that pleases both the wearer and others. Over time, the oak moss makes it slightly earthier, but only a little. What sets it apart from other apple perfumes is its overall packaging (very rich and well-made), with a mix of nonchalance and elegance that makes it usable for any age and gender (though I think it suits men better), and almost any occasion. I see it as daytime, but I’d use it on a summer night without issue. Great longevity: 10-12 hours, with good projection and trail for the first 3 hours, then it retreats to the personal bubble but you still smell it. It’s one of those I loved from the first try, and the more I use it, the more I like it. Great perfume. Absolutely recommended. I give it an 8.5, leaning towards 9. NOTE: Since I don’t fully understand Parfums de Marly reformulations, I’ll clarify my bottle is from April 2024 with 80% remaining.
A nice apple soap scent with a ridiculous markup. It’s hard to justify buying a fragrance this boring, one-dimensional, and mediocre when you can find the same smell in good designer fragrances with similar performance for $30-70.
I absolutely love this fragrance! It smells exquisite from start to finish. The apple note is unlike anything I’ve heard in other perfumes (there are clones that resemble it, but if you’re picky, you’ll notice the difference instantly). Fresh, juicy, charming, and it gets lots of compliments. With its woody and musky undertones at the base, it lasts much longer than you’d expect for its type. Some might find it too simple for the price, but I feel that crowd just never liked that aromatic profile. I’ve used a quarter bottle in three years and have no doubt I’ll buy another when it runs out. I don’t recommend buying blind given the price, but if you try it, there’s a high chance you’ll love it if you enjoy these notes.
A friend gifted me a sample because I was eyeing it but didn’t want to buy blind. It delivers on everything: energetic, effervescent, elegant, and smells high-quality. It has that unisex touch, but if you dress well, it looks incredible. It opens fresh, strong, and bubbly like a green cider, then settles into a woody base with fruity nuances. Incredible for heat and lasts a long time; on my skin, it barely lasted 12 hours. It’ll be my Father’s Day gift.
