Givenchy is the house I’ve admired since I was a kid: the Gentleman, Insensé, Blue Label, and the Only’s… It hurts that I can’t be happy with this one. I’ve worn it for three hours and there’s no trace. They’ll say it’s an ultra-light, refreshing, sporty version of the Gents; yes, I accept that. The first hour smells good, fresh, with mint and an undefined citrus, then a soft amber that caresses and the sage trying to project… a vetiver base I don’t remember. For mornings, for smelling clean and pleasant without standing out, for forgetting… for taking the dog to the park (even though I don’t have one). This flanker wasn’t needed (humble opinion). It’s not that bad, guys.
Out of all the Gentlemen Only scents from Givenchy, this is the weakest. It starts well and fresh with citrus, mint, and herbs that give energy, but after the first hour, it’s barely noticeable. I agree with @jimblue on the scent and performance. The bottle is beautiful and elegant, typical of the line, with an extra artistic touch from the artwork. Nothing more to say.
