Flower Princess by Vera Wang

The PRINCESS by Vera Wang made me think, thanks to its cute packaging, that it would be a sweet and generic perfume, but I was surprised by how different and unique it actually is. It’s a floral oriental fragrance, classic like a modern elixir yet playful. It opens with pure notes of water lily, sweet apple, mandarin, and apricot, then immerses you in a heart of exotic guava, tiaré, and neroli—very feminine. The dark chocolate is subtle, with traces of vanilla, amber, and wood; an exquisite touch. The trail is moderate, lasting 6 hours, and with cream it reaches 8. It’s versatile; I like it for any season and time of day, like walking wrapped in a little cloud. The bottle looks like a heart-shaped jewel, the cap is a crown I love to hang around my neck. Very elegant, a symbol of romantic charm in lilac that celebrates femininity.

I grabbed this by mistake, thinking it was the regular Vera Wang Princess. At first, I thought I’d been tricked, but then I realized the problem is me: I’m not a floral fan. I tried to sell it but couldn’t, though at 500 pesos it’s a steal. It smells great—springtime and floral, radiating joy. I have nothing against it; I’m just learning to love it for everyday wear. Lasts about 7 hours, and the bottle is gorgeous with that brand ring; I think a princess should indeed smell like this.

This perfume is an ode to innocence and youthful beauty; the designer meticulously crafted every essence. Upon spraying, you feel the water lily flooding your skin, which transforms into a herbal citrus scent in half an hour. Among the heart notes, the Moroccan rose stands out most on my skin (it really depends on pH). The dry down is spectacular—the amber and peach gradient is very soft.

Didn’t like it. An aunt brought us some perfumes and told us to pick whichever we liked best; this was one of them. When I smelled it, pff, it smelled like freshly cut grass with a slight jasmine hint. Honestly, I don’t find it special or anything—it just feels like a common, clean scent. That said, the bottle is very pretty, but hey, it’s everyone’s taste.

Still, it’s a lovely, pleasant fragrance for daily wear, perfect for college, radiating joy and carefree vibes. The bottle is super cute. Scent rating: 8/10, light trail, moderate longevity of 4-5 hours.
