Descripción

Princess by Vera Wang is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2006, this composition was created by Ilias Ermenidis and Harry Fremont. The top notes unfold a bouquet of water lily, honeysuckle, apple, and mandarin. The heart reveals dark chocolate, guava, tiare flower, and neroli, while the base settles on vanilla, amber, and woods.

  • I bought it because it just launched in Canada and it smelled amazing in the airport. But when I used it daily, I got a headache, so I gave it away and now I can’t even smell it…

  • aleeromanm

I bought it and upon smelling it, I found it very pleasant. It’s identical to Katy Perry’s Purr; it’s the same perfume in a different bottle.

  • I just received my Vera Wang Princess. It’s an amber perfume. I usually don’t like fragrances with amber, but I liked this one because you can taste the dark chocolate and vanilla, which makes it unique. It’s not cloying; the flowers take the lead: water lily, neroli, and tiare flower. At first, you get the amber, apple, and mandarin, but later the chocolate and vanilla make the difference and last. It’s not sweet; the floral and amber notes dominate. It’s very subtle; sometimes it smells like lemon tea, in fact, the bottle smells like that; it changes once applied to the skin. Lasts 6 to 8 hours and is very light. Easy to wear for any casual occasion.

  • It’s a youthful and floral scent, too rich. Perfect for daytime. And what about the bottle? It’s gorgeous!

  • Maria Tassara

Without a doubt, this is my favorite: super feminine, sweet, with a vanilla touch. It’s very persistent, ideal for special occasions. Since they don’t sell it here, I buy several bottles every time I travel. I just love Vera Wang’s Princess!

  • Angie Marren

At first, I thought it was for an older lady and way too strong, but now I absolutely love it. It’s lovely, sweet, and perfect for winter. Lasts forever; I put it on at 7 AM and can still smell it at 4 PM. The bottle is delicate, like something for a princess. Warning: only apply a couple of sprays because it’s potent and can give you a headache.

  • Ale.garcia

Smells nice, but didn’t really impress me. I expected more and was disappointed. The longevity and sillage are average, and after a while, it starts smelling like soap. It just doesn’t convince me.

Princess is a victim of the Viva La Juicy syndrome by Juicy Couture: extremely popular but not matching quality to commercial success. It’s impressive, like when you search for perfume videos on YouTube and instantly find someone wearing Viva La Juicy; Princess follows the same path, but in both cases, the product isn’t exciting or particularly good. It’s an ‘Oriental-Floral’ in quotes, because in the opening and throughout the heart, the flowers are watery, transparent, pessimistic, and dusty. The fruits are also transparent, noticeable in the mid-stage, but upon noticing them, I only perceive a bland guava juice and a sticky, indulgent plain scent. The most notable are the vanilla and chocolate (maybe dark, but like milk chocolate at its best); the vanilla reminds me of Katy Perry’s Mad Potion, being the central axis of both, with scarce quality. Princess has a discreet floral tone that goes unnoticed against the dominant sweetness, but it’s not a delicious or edible sweet like Pink Sugar, Fantasy, or Prada Candy (mention Lolita Lempicka); it’s a conformist, subtle sweet, basically similar to a perfumed soap or detergent. Inspired by satirical fairy tales, it was planned as an alternative for youth, who deserve a better-crafted product. Even if it’s a trend, it doesn’t mean it’s worth the price, and Princess doesn’t deliver. It lasts little, has microscopic sillage, and its development doesn’t improve; it’s like a fragrance with low self-esteem that seeks not to attract attention.

  • This perfume is a chocolate and vanilla shake, soft, not scandalous, unlikely to bother anyone (for me, that’s not a compliment; perfumes should be noticeable). It follows the current sweet trend, smells like a cupcake with a fruity background and a distant powdery floral touch that balances it. It’s pretty; I’d wear it around the house or gift it to my 10-year-old niece, but it’s not striking, lacks mystery, has poor longevity and sillage, and is quite simple, though generally pleasant. Great for staying on the sofa near the one you love most, but inappropriate for going out to conquer the world and wrong for formal situations. The bottle is gorgeous and the price isn’t alarming; I think I’ll buy it sooner or later to enjoy while making rice pudding.

Princess was the first perfume I added to my wishlist when starting my collection. I felt happy and nervous buying the 50 ml without even smelling it. The first spray almost made me hate it: a strange apple vinegar scent that transformed into something pleasant in 3 seconds. I smelled the top notes, but the base remained plain. So sweet and pleasant, discreet, delicious, with a balance that avoids being rude. After a while, on my skin, an exquisite aroma of chocolate and vanilla in harmony. I look for perfumes with strong sillage, but Princess is discreet and cozy, with moderate sillage close to the skin. I wasn’t disgusted. Its longevity is amazing: I put it on at 3 PM, and by today’s noon, it had faded—21 hours! Princess is majestic and not sufficiently appreciated. Everything is sublime, from the bottle to the scent. Its adorable detail is that the base and cap are rings; isn’t that beautiful? Dignified of a princess. I feel special when I wear it. I’d recommend using it to see your special person; melting into an embrace with that scent is a blessing. Princess lives up to its name. I’ll definitely buy more when this runs out. The price is accessible. Scent: 10/10, Sillage: 6/10, Longevity: 10/10.

It was the first perfume I added to my wishlist. I felt so happy and nervous buying the 50ml bottle without even smelling it. The first spray almost made me hate it: it smelled like apple cider vinegar, but in 3 seconds it changed to something pleasant. I heard the top notes, but the middle note stuck. So sweet and pleasant, discreet and delicious, with a perfect balance that makes it refined. Then, on my skin, it turns into an exquisite chocolate and vanilla aroma. It’s not my style for strong sillage; this one is discreet and cozy, the trail stays close to the skin, but I didn’t dislike it. The longevity is amazing: I put it on at 3 PM and it was still there the next noon, 21 hours! It’s majestic and not appreciated enough. Everything is sublime, from the bottle to the scent. The adorable part is that the base and cap are rings, isn’t it beautiful? Dignified of a princess. I feel special when I wear it. I recommend it for seeing your special person; melting into an embrace with that scent is a blessing. It lives up to its name. I’ll definitely buy more when this runs out. Plus, the price is accessible. Scent 10/10, sillage 6/10, longevity 10/10.

  • This perfume earns my affection little by little. The first time, I thought it was a delicate fruity-floral aroma with 3 hours of longevity and moderate sillage; I left it for weeks, and when I returned to use it, I felt I had missed it. I love the bottle for the little crown with ringstones.

  • sweetmarycandy

I always say perfumes have no age, but with Princess, I make an exception: it seems destined for a young, almost childish audience. The packaging gives it away; it’s designed to catch the eye of a little girl or very young teen. The scent is very sweet; defining it as a chocolate or vanilla shake is accurate, but far from cloying, it’s very light and even fresh, perfect for that demographic. I bought it for the notes and good price. It falls short on longevity and sillage; I wouldn’t wear it out except for errands. I use it as a mist for sheets and pillows; it’s super comforting and cozy for sleep. A pleasant perfume for lovers of soft, light, sweet scents.

  • Tortuga Azul

I have to admit I bought it for a 50ml deal. I only knew it was sweet and unpretentious, and the cute bottle was irresistible. On the first spray, I thought I’d ruined it; it smelled like cheap liquor. But I was patient and let it settle. It smells like vanilla and milk chocolate, with fruity touches and something floral. The longevity is moderate; it lasted a work morning, and the sillage is very soft, almost imperceptible. It’s for winter afternoons. On me, it smells like a cozy coffee shop with freshly baked pastries. Nothing sophisticated, but it doesn’t need to be. If you want to feel warm and comfortable on the couch with hot chocolate in December, this is the one. It depends on the situation: I wouldn’t wear it for work dates; it’s homey and intimate. For the price I paid, I’d buy it again; it’s pleasant, but I wouldn’t pay the original price. If you find deals and like sweet, soft perfumes, go for it.

  • Tortuga Azul

I bought the 50 ml on sale. I only knew it was sweet and unpretentious, and the cute bottle was irresistible. On the first spray, I thought, ‘I’ve ruined it’; it smelled like bad liquor. But I was patient and let it settle. It smells like vanilla and milk chocolate, with fruity touches and a floral note I can’t quite distinguish. Moderate longevity (lasted a work morning) and very soft, almost imperceptible sillage. It’s for winter afternoons. On my skin, it smells like a sweet coffee shop with fresh pastries. Nothing sophisticated, but it doesn’t need to be. If you want to feel warm and cozy on the sofa with hot chocolate in December, this is it. I wouldn’t wear it to work dates; it’s homemade and intimate. For the price I paid, I’d buy it again; it’s pleasant, but I wouldn’t pay the original price. If there’s a sale and you like sweets, go for it.

  • I bought it on sale, and the 100 ml cost me around twenty-something euros. Honestly, it doesn’t evoke what others say. It’s not for little girls, doesn’t smell like liquor, and frankly, I don’t smell much chocolate; I do notice the fruity floral notes that give it style. At first, it smells strongly of candy and guava, then it leaves an intense tiaré scent. It smells like a sophisticated, youthful beach girl, though it tends toward almost vulgar, but it’s not. Perfect perfume, very feminine, for daily wear or night outs. 8/10.

  • I like it as a transitional scent, for when I’m saturated of strong fragrances. It’s relaxing to me. It’s unpretentious, with an intimate sillage and lasts about 5 hours. It has a slightly childish vibe, a base that smells like cologne. It smells floral and chocolatey on me, delicate, fresher than sweet but with both nuances. The bottle, despite being childish, is charming. Scent 7/10, longevity 6/10, sillage 5/10, value for money 6/10, versatility 8/10, packaging 8/10. Probably won’t buy it again.

  • I like Princess by Vera Wang as a transitional scent for days saturated with heavy fragrances; it’s relaxing. It’s an unpretentious fragrance with an intimate sillage and about 5 hours of longevity. It has a slightly childish vibe, with an indefinable base like a ‘cologne smell.’ It smells floral and chocolatey, delicate, fresher than sweet but with both nuances. I love the bottle despite its childish character. Scent: 7/10, Longevity: 6/10, Sillage: 5/10, Value: 6/10, Versatility: 8/10, Packaging: 8/10. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

  • RubyCrystal

I thought it would be a hit! It was on my list due to its popularity and good reviews, but trying it in-store was a disappointment. On my skin, I don’t detect vanilla, chocolate, citrus, or amber—just a strange, green floral scent, like freshly cut grass. Sorry, another ‘marketing victim,’ just like Viva La Juicy. It’s a pity because the presentation is beautiful. I don’t feel it’s youthful or something to buy blindly; it’s versatile depending on skin pH, very long-lasting, but with an overwhelming sillage that envelops you with just one spray. Unfortunately, it didn’t convince me: ‘too much fame, not enough talent.’

  • Retrofuturist

I’ve had this perfume on my wishlist for months and finally tried it. I thought it would be too sweet, but on my skin, the amber and woody notes really shine through—very soft and pleasant. The opening is fruity/floral; as it dries down, chocolate appears, and once it settles, it gains a vanilla touch. The olfactory pyramid is almost exact. It reminds me a bit of Kenzo Flower, maybe due to the vanilla. I don’t feel it’s childish or youthful; I think it’s ideal for women aged 20 to 30. It’s very feminine and soft. The bottle is a masterpiece, and the metal crown (not a cap) separates into two rings.

  • Paola Andrade

Personally, I love it. Besides the beautiful bottle, what matters is the scent. My dad gifted it to me and said, ‘It reminds me of you.’ Since then, it’s one of my favorites: sentimental, beautiful, and delicious.

  • Soft, fruity, and chocolatey. I love it! It smells like a new Barbie doll, that scent you get when you open it. It’s more modern than the ones from my childhood, and my niece also said, ‘It smells like new Barbie here.’ You can detect vanilla, chocolate, and mixed fruits, almost like a smoothie but not cloying thanks to the water lily and fresh fruits. The dry down is amber and woody. The trail lasts 3 hours perceptibly, then remains soft just for you. After 6 hours, only the final skin scent remains. I was surprised by the longevity. The bottle is gorgeous, but the atomizer is awful; for the price, I guess that’s asking too much.

  • Cherchezlafemme

Inside that childish bottle lies a restrained perfume, nothing babyish. It’s slightly chocolatey and woody, suitable for a woman not necessarily young. Very comfortable and pleasant for staying at home after a meal, like an afternoon with a blanket and tea under the last rays of the sun.

  • SnowyMoon

I bought it blind in 2017. It smells very good, chocolatey and sweet, but at first it’s a bit cloying. It lasts about 4 hours. It’s quite feminine, ideal for girls aged 15 to 25. I left it for a year, and when I came back to it, it felt like rediscovering it, though I’m not sure if I’d repurchase.

  • Kathro B.

The chocolate isn’t overwhelming or showy; it feels mature. I was surprised, though I wouldn’t buy it again because my city isn’t very autumnal or wintry.

  • The bottle is beautiful, and it’s an autumn-winter perfume, ideal for the evening. I had to gift it away because it gave me migraines.

  • Beautiful: caramel, chocolate, and vanilla. I love it. The bottle is cute and the cap is a fantasy crown ring. The longevity is average, but it’s affordable. In the heat, the wood, guava, and green notes come out, which is great.

  • I bought it blind and it smells great, but it’s barely noticeable close to the skin and doesn’t leave a trail. If you’re looking for something discreet, pretty, and non-overpowering for everyday wear, it’s perfect. It smells like a feminine doll, super natural and understated. The bottle is gorgeous, and the crown cap works as a ring—a top detail.

  • I don’t know what note makes me hate it. The chocolate and vanilla base is nice, but that initial floral note makes it feel very old and stale. It reminds me of an older lady with heavy makeup leaving an unpleasant trail. What a pity; I expected more from that tender sweetness that barely shows up.

  • What a delight! Smells like a coffee shop on Christmas Eve, with that hot chocolate and super creamy candies. On my skin, I don’t detect any fruit, but the trail is wide and lasts 6-8 hours. Perfect for those who love sweet scents without going overboard.

  • I didn’t think I’d like it, but I loved it!!! It smells like chocolate with fruits, then water lily, tiare, and neroli. It’s very feminine, soft, pleasant, zero cloying, a well-made perfume. It smells like Damita or well, Princess; it’s very pleasant, people ask me about it all the time, but it only lasts a short while. One of my favorites!!!!

  • I just acquired a decant of this fragrance by chance; it wasn’t what I was looking for. I didn’t know Vera Wang perfumes or anything… but wow! What a lovely scent!! In the opening, it reminds me of a new lipstick or compact powder. In the dry down on my skin, I sense a delicate powder-petal rose scent, I don’t know why it doesn’t even list those notes. It was a total hit, and I’m about to buy the original, hoping it performs well and lasts long.

  • What a tragedy!!!! What an ephemeral aroma!!!! When I finally found a fragrance that convinced me, its scent on my skin lasts only 2 hours. Disappointing 🙁 and on clothes, let’s not even talk about it; if it lasts 2 hours more, it still leaves much to be desired, pffffffffffff

  • RosyBenitez

It was my only perfume for a long time. Being an EDT, its sillage and projection are low. I keep it just for nostalgia. It’s a tender perfume.

  • Adictaalodulce22

When I read the reviews, I imagined a completely different scent. Clearly, it was a blind buy, and I’m a bit regretful; it smells more like baby powder than anything, with a slight chocolate touch. It’s very similar to Benetton Hot, which is cheaper and smells the same except for the chocolate. The vanilla isn’t noticeable. I’m regretful. The opening is a bit alcoholic, then powder with cocoa. 6.5/10 💓

  • Lots of floral aroma. I bought it blind thinking it would be super sweet; it has a super floral opening, but I still fell in love with it, haha.

  • Berenit08

Blind buy. I must confess that at first I was disappointed, but after a while it gets sweeter on me, and that’s what I fell in love with. I don’t detect vanilla, but it looks great for everyday wear.

  • I have so much affection for it; I love it too much. It’s a shame that its sillage and longevity are so low. I only buy it on sale because I really wish a Suspiro would last longer; it’s a pity.

  • My best friend gifted me this perfume (my first Christmas gift of 2024) in a set with a body mist. I’ll review both because they feel different. Perfume: starts with a soft, creamy white floral that quickly turns into perfumed chocolate, very pleasant and clean thanks to the guava. Ideal for any weather, but it really shines on autumn dates. Body: the chocolate shines brighter, sweet and soft, though the fruity notes come through at the end, leaving it bright. Both have moderate-to-light sillage and longevity, not invasive or spicy. I already wanted this in my collection, and it was a great surprise. Fortuna, thanks for the gift, I love you : )

  • Absolutely exquisite! On my dry skin, it reminds me of Lolita Lempicka, which I love, but I wish the dry down wasn’t so overwhelming. Princess is sweet vanilla and dark chocolate with a fresh guava touch. Phenomenal!
