A really rich and long-lasting fragrance, I recommend it.
It’s like a lighter version of Pierre Cardin Pour Monsieur, though it also bears a resemblance to the original Hugo Boss or Number One, but it’s much closer to the Pierre Cardin and definitely lighter. For those who’ve worn Pierre Cardin, you know what I mean: imagine the same thing but way lighter. The only difference is that sometimes it gives off a sweet sensation, similar to Baldessarini Del Mar Caribbean. Low trail and average longevity; on me, it lasted about 6 hours, with the first 3 hours staying very close to the skin and the rest nearly imperceptible, perhaps because I’m using the after-shave version.

Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from Santo Domingo. It smells good, but… Vera Wang is supposed to be a fresh, citrusy scent, like fresh mandarin, but what a disappointment. Its sillage is poorer than someone who’s been unemployed for 10 years, and its longevity died the moment it was sprayed. Not to mention the projection, which is almost non-existent. I didn’t get a single compliment. Even though I have half the bottle left and I spray 20 or more times, I still can’t smell it; it just stays there. Pretty on the outside, but ugly on the inside regarding sillage and projection. I’d only recommend it to someone who likes a subtle scent so no one notices it, not even yourself, because it disappears in the blink of an eye. Don’t recommend it to anyone looking for good sillage and projection. The price ranges from $13 to $20, and it was still… a huge disappointment. Scent 8/10, sillage 0/10, projection 0/10.

I loved it. If it came out in 2004, it’s very similar to D&G The One. To my nose, they’re quite alike (they only share the tobacco note), but the Vera Wang smells fresher upfront with lots of mandarin and yuzu, before settling into that D&G vibe. On my skin, the longevity and trail are similar—not bad at all. Worth the price; it doesn’t smell old or like it’s only for older men. It’s very versatile, and I really enjoy wearing it!
