I’ve always been looking for a perfume that screams ‘roses’ without hesitation, so after trying many in one afternoon, I settled on Ferre Rose. But shortly after, I put it away in the back of the drawer because, while it smells like roses, something just doesn’t add up: it has a synthetic scent that doesn’t quite convince me, and its weak longevity and projection don’t help. It feels more like those body mists that refresh you for a second before evaporating instantly. The sweetness is so subtle it disappears quickly. I’m not throwing it out because I don’t believe there’s such thing as a bad perfume; there’s surely some girl for whom this is perfect, so I’d recommend it as a first perfume for a teenager whose body isn’t ready for anything heavier. If I had to define it, it’s a fragrance that’s nothing invasive and very angelic.
