  • exquisite privé smells super elegant and is very well composed. it’s a refined fragrance with a mature profile that adds class without overdoing it. it’s clearly inspired by Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privé; they aren’t identical, but they’re very similar, especially when dry. at first, unlike the original, i don’t notice much whisky or hazelnut. from the start, the iris takes over as the star and stays throughout. the orange and bergamot give a fresh touch, but soft and they fade quickly. at the end, there’s a boozy note, but it fades over time. here it becomes sweet and woody, with a soft and elegant base. the iris remains, though it drops a bit, leaving something more balanced and easy to wear. that floral and powdery iris always stands out, defining the perfume. on my skin it lasts about 6 hours; after that, it’s almost skin-scent, only noticeable if you hold your nose near for a while. projection is low, like in the first hour, and sillage is moderate, within your personal bubble. it’s not meant to grab attention, but to be enjoyed up close. i see it as ideal for fall, winter, and fresh spring days. it’s elegant, designed for indoors, quiet dates, or when you don’t want to invade space. if you don’t want to spend the original’s price, it’s worth it, because when dry it resembles the Reserve Privé and offers a worthy experience for the cost. rating: 8/10.

  • yes, it’s a direct clone of Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privé. HOWEVER, this one starts straight with the dry-down of the original, skipping the boozy whisky opening and missing that extra touch of sweetness. still, if you like the vibe of Reserve Privé and its woody dry-down with iris, hazelnut, and sweetness; this is a winner. i’d add that it has a very, very light citrus at the start, barely perceptible; nothing that undermines the main idea… and that citrus fades super fast. fragrantica lists rose and violet, but i don’t think it has either. the iris is definitely prominent; meanwhile, the cedar and moss are noticeable. the idea of hazelnut, even if not mentioned, is there; it’s very noticeable, just like in the original, well-integrated into the woody sensation. repeat, if you’re looking for an alternative to Reserve Privé, this is the one. head-to-head comparison shows the differences. i own the Reserve Privé, a beautiful, complex, deep, and dense composition with development, but it lacks longevity. i bought this Exquisite Privé because i like the dry-down profile of the original and use it daily; i save the other for special occasions.

  • it clearly tries to be Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privé, but it just doesn’t reach for my nose. it’s missing that hazelnut note that gives the chocolate and whisky touch; here, the whisky is replaced by rum, which smells different and very alcoholic. it’s closer to the Gentleman line, yes, but not to Reserve Privé. it could be a flanker, but they’re selling it as a clone of something it can’t even come close to matching because it lacks the best parts of the original. i won’t comment on longevity or sillage since i’ll let it settle. it’s an acceptable iris fragrance if you’re not looking for an exact clone of the Privé, then it’s worth it, but as a clone, it’s not.

  • if you’re going to review arabic perfumes or this brand, wait for them to settle. almost all of them change projection, longevity, and even the scent once they hit the air. don’t be impatient or ignorant.

i don’t own the original inspiration, but the scent is crafted beautifully in terms of sensation; it reminds me a lot of Dior Homme Intense because of that standout iris. even though it’s a bit linear, it’s still a bold fragrance that doesn’t go unnoticed.

i don’t have the original perfume, but this smells very well-crafted in terms of sensation. it even reminds me a lot of Dior Homme Intense because the iris is what stands out the most, although the perfume is a bit linear. still, it’s a bold aroma that doesn’t go unnoticed at all.
