It’s sweet, yes, but with class. I know the market is saturated with sweets and they’re sometimes wrongly associated with femininity, but here the cliché works. It smells like passion fruit and fruits, and unlike others like the one from Bvlgari, you can tell the quality: it doesn’t smell like alcohol or drops of fruit in water. Maybe if you already have a closet full of sweeties, it’s not your next purchase, but if you’re looking for something like this, it’s the undisputed queen.
What a beauty! I was blown away in every way, very refined. If you like classy sweet perfumes, 100% recommended, it has an air of Erba Pura but more sophisticated!!
What beauty, it blew my mind. Very refined. If you like classy sweet perfumes, it’s 100% recommended. It has an air like Erba Pura but more sophisticated.
Just to add that, besides the official notes, I detect a lot of oud in it, especially when the other notes fade. That’s my personal opinion. Otherwise, it’s gorgeous and very classy, something shocking in a perfume this fruity. That’s its problem: low versatility, only for very special occasions.
Just to add that, besides the listed notes, I really appreciate the oud in it, especially in the hours that remain after the rest disappears. That’s just my take. Otherwise, it’s gorgeous and very classy, something shocking in such a fruity perfume. That’s the problem: very little versatility, only for very special occasions.
I was gifted this because it was on my wishlist without me trying it. At the first sniff, I was disappointed: it starts with a rich, realistic passion fruit smell, but I thought if it only smelled like that it would be overrated. Fortunately, after the fruits comes the musk with the base notes, where it becomes interesting: it smells elegant and luxurious, sweet but not excessive musk, with fruits stepping back to balance things out. It leaves an attractive and sexy scent without falling into vulgarity. I love it, but I think it’s overpriced for the performance on my skin. It dries down similar to Erba Pura, but without the passion fruit finish (in EP there’s a mix of fruits) and toned down in intensity, granting more elegance without lasting less (clarifying that on my skin, neither this nor Xerjoff perfumes last more than 5 hours). I suggest not buying without trying; depending on how much you like the scent and performance, the price may seem acceptable or not. Here in Chile it’s summer and it feels appropriate, but I hope to try it in winter, I think it will work the same. It’s delicious, typical niche, and has me enchanted despite the price. The best thing is to get decants or a discovery kit.
Hi, does anyone know if there’s any Arab perfume similar to this Dahab by Kajal, like Rasasi, Ard Al Zaafaran, or Lattafa???
This is delicious! A sweet and fruity fragrance, with passion fruit as the star. It’s beautiful, elegant, and easy to wear. It lasts about 4 hours on skin, fading to skin-level at the end; on clothes it evaporates quickly, not passing 6 hours. Projection is low-to-moderate for the first 2 hours, then it’s just for personal enjoyment. It leaves much to be desired compared to its sibling Lamar, which is a nuclear bomb that lasts forever. Scent: 10/10, Longevity: 3/10, Projection: 3/10, Price: 5/10. I wouldn’t buy it again, although it’s rich, I’m looking for better performance.
I love Dahab, but unfortunately, it doesn’t last long; on skin it leaves a dirty but sweet and warm trace. Regarding projection and longevity, it’s abysmally expensive, but its original, cheerful, warm, fruity, and sensual scent justifies the price. If you want to be compensated for the investment with a BOOM and great projection, don’t buy it. It’s a jewel to enjoy in closed environments and close to the skin. Ideal for layering; its powerful fruit masks whatever is underneath. I have it and I love it because I enjoy the experience without worrying about compliments. It’s feminine, sensual, fruity, warm, Arabesque-style, and gorgeous, but it’s not overwhelming or heavy. Use it as a signature, but if you’re looking for compliments with other perfumes, bet on something more intense.
I bought it after seeing so many reviews and couldn’t pass it up. The scent drives me crazy; it’s one of my favorites. For me, passion fruit and musk dominate. The only downside is that, for the price, it lasts a maximum of 6 hours on skin and 4 of trail. I wish they reformulated it so it was worth it, but I still say it’s one of the best in the world.
I bought it because, after seeing so many positive reviews, I just couldn’t resist. The scent drives me crazy; it’s one of my favorites. Passion fruit and musk dominate. It’s a shame that, given the price, it lasts max 6 hours on skin. Projection is about 4 hours and then it stays close to the skin. I wish they reformulated it to make it worth it; still, it’s one of my favorite perfumes in the world!!
I bought it after hearing nothing but wonders, but every nose is a world… mine and my husband’s hated it 😢.
I bought it after hearing all the wonderful things about this perfume. Every nose is different… mine and my husband’s hated it 😢.
Overrated. The scent is a 10, but longevity and projection leave much to be desired, while the price is a 20/10… It smells expensive, fruity, sweet, and tropical, with those juicy fruits at their peak, rich and elegant. I don’t find it sexy at all. I wouldn’t buy it again. It reminds me a lot of Erba Pura, which is cheaper but a beast in terms of longevity and projection.
I’m not a huge fan of tropical scents, but this one is gorgeous. Passion fruit dominates from start to finish; it’s potent at first but then softens with amber and musk, leaving a very pleasant trail. The projection is moderate but noticeable. It reminds me of Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi, but this one smells better because Kirke lacks that sublime dry-down that Dahab has. If I had to choose and spend without hesitation, I’d go with Dahab Kajal, plus the bottle is stunning. I imagined something Arab with incense and woods, but here you find passion fruit (which does pick up an Arab vibe at the end). I wear it in all seasons, perfect for showing off when you’re feeling happy. Totally feminine.
I’m not much of a tropical person, but I admit this is gorgeous. It smells like passion fruit from start to finish. The nice thing is that it starts strong and then softens, combined with amber and musk, leaving it super pleasant. It leaves a moderate but noticeable trail. It’s similar to Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi, but this smells better and has a more sublime finish. If you have to choose and spend, you go with Dahab Kajal; besides, the bottle is beautiful. I imagined something more Arab and incense-laden, but here you get passion fruit that eventually picks up an oriental touch. It works for all seasons, ideal for showing off when you’re feeling happy. Totally feminine.
It’s super cheerful, vibrant, sexy, and luxurious. On my skin, the opening is exquisite, with citrus notes and sweet apple and passion fruit. I love the musky, amber base. It’s true it’s not a “room-filler,” and I like that; I enjoy it more intimately. It lasts about 8 hours on skin: the trail (moderate) lasts about 4 hours, and I still enjoy it for another 4 or 5 hours. That’s enough for me. The presentation is lovely, elegant, with an oriental touch, and the juice color is gorgeous.
To me, it’s beautiful, different, and unique. It earns me plenty of compliments, and people always ask what I’m wearing. They say I smell like an expensive person, simply spectacular. On my skin, the longevity is infinite; my clothes still smell the next day. Highly recommended.
I bought a decant before committing to the full price. I admit it’s pleasant and long-lasting, but it didn’t fascinate me. It’s tropical with a well-crafted passion fruit, but the projection is pretty average. Either way, it didn’t match my vibe or my husband’s. Would I buy it? Definitely NO.
It’s super cheerful, vibrant, sexy, and luxurious. On my skin, the opening is exquisite, with those citrusy and sweet notes of apple and passion fruit. I love the musky and amber base. It’s not a ‘bombshell’; I enjoy it more intimately. It lasts about 8 hours: 4 of trail and then I still notice it for another 4 or 5 hours. For me, that’s enough. The presentation is lovely, elegant, with an oriental touch, and the juice color is gorgeous.
I love it; it brightens my day. It smells like passion fruit, exclusive beach, yacht, and champagne. Since I wish my family enjoyed it as much as I do, they don’t find it elegant or cheerful; they’re either indifferent or even bothered by how sweet it is. This perfume is playful, overwhelmingly fruity, and you need confidence to wear it; some people won’t like it, but it smells like joy and elegance (to me). It’s not for anything else but going out at night for dates, clubs, or the beach (maybe a wedding in Cancún, yum!). It’s not casual, nor for work or daily wear. The dry-down is wonderfully elegant.
Delicious, similar to the discontinued Omnia Paraiba by Bvlgari, especially as it dries down. However, Kajal is sweeter, performs better, and feels like a finer fragrance; Omnia isn’t quite as refined.
To me, it’s a passion fruit cocktail, an exquisite aroma. It’s fruity, but on my nose, it comes across as simple and easy to find in cheaper options.
I smell the passion fruit all over my skin with that rich musk… it lasts about 6 hours and has moderate projection for the first 3. It’s my signature scent, I love it, and I already have a refill.
I ordered a sample and it’s now my favorite. It conveys elegance, class, and sexiness; it smells like an impressive tropical cocktail, very fruity. At first, you feel the freshness of bergamot and green apple with that passion fruit, which is one of the best I’ve ever smelled. If you like fruity scents, this is for you. It’s sophisticated, good for any season, and lasts more than 8 hours. If it’s very hot, it might feel heavy due to the musk and amber base, but it’s very consistent; 3 or 4 sprays are enough. I recommend ordering a 2ml sample to be sure.
I ordered a sample, and it’s my favorite to date. It conveys elegance, class, and sexiness, smelling like an impressive, very fruity tropical cocktail. Upon spraying, you feel the freshness of bergamot and green apple alongside that passion fruit, one of the best I’ve ever smelled. If you love fruity scents, this is god-tier for you. It’s sophisticated and works for any season; on my skin, it lasts over 8 hours. If it’s very hot, the musk and amber base might feel heavy, but it’s very consistent—3 or 4 sprays are enough. I recommend ordering a 2ml sample to rule out doubts.
I don’t like it—the passion fruit is too intense and gives me a headache; I don’t smell the green apple promised in reviews, just a sharp, amber scent. The good stuff: the trail and longevity are out of this world. You can smell it from meters away with just two sprays, and it’s hard to get off. No niche fragrance matches that quality; my favorite expensive ones barely last two hours on the skin. I’m thinking of trying its sister, Lamar, for the pineapple note, but I’ll buy a decant. If anyone in Santiago has mine, let me know; I’ll sell it cheap with the box and 98% remaining.
Honestly, I don’t like it because the passion fruit is too present and intense. I let myself be carried away by reviews saying it was a spectacular green apple, but I don’t feel that, just a sharp and very ambered passion fruit that gives me a headache. The good thing: its trail and longevity are from another world, impactful. I don’t know another one that has that; you can smell it from meters away with two sprays and it’s hard to get it off the skin. Of all the niche perfumes I’ve tried, none has this quality; my favorites that I like almost as much usually last 2 hours. I want to try its sister Lamar because I like pineapple, but this time I’ll buy a decant. If any lover living in Santiago (Chile) wants to sell it, send me a message and I’ll sell it cheap, with box and almost complete, barely used.
Mine looks like they watered it down; far from the hype, it projects very weakly. I can’t even smell it on myself, and it lasts a mere whisper on the skin. What a disappointment 🙁
Dahab is passion fruit made exquisitely: a fruity explosion that is elegant, sophisticated, and warm. It’s not the same as Erba Pura and has nothing synthetic about it. I can’t comment on longevity and projection because I tested it with a decant and it didn’t seem like a beast. I’d wear it in spring, summer, and fall. Edit: I already bought a bottle and can add that it’s quite powdery, musky, and dense. Longevity is good, but since I use many sprays (10), be careful: it’s not fresh enough for intense heat; it’s warm and amber.
Wow, what a rich and elegant, potent scent. I feel tropical and incense-y, but in a good way; it’s addictive and has excellent longevity. If I get into my car another day, it still smells like Dahab, and I’m not someone who wears much perfume. I recommend it; for me, it’s year-round, for daytime special meetings or nighttime. It’s absolutely worth it.
What I read: ‘With Dahab, which means gold, the fragrance oozes wealth and luxury’. Gold, luxury, and the verb to ooze. And all in the same sentence! That makes my brain unable to resist buying it blind, with a couple. What I smell: a smoothie of passion fruit, woods, and apples. What I feel: the urge to run away. Do you know those fragrances you don’t like but last a short time? That’s not the case. It lasts a lifetime. Not for me. The bottle is very pretty, though.
What I read: ‘With Dahab, meaning gold, the fragrance oozes wealth and luxury.’ Gold, luxury, and the verb ‘ooze’ in the same sentence. That made my brain refuse to resist buying it blind, with two bottles. What I smell: a smoothie of passion fruit, woods, and apples. What I feel: the urge to run away. Do you know those fragrances you don’t like but last a short time, so you get rid of them eventually? Not this one. It lasts a lifetime. It’s just not for me. The bottle is very flashy, though.
A masterpiece. From start to finish, a juicy passion fruit with woody touches. I love the patchouli, but I don’t detect it as much as the musk, and I still adore the musk.
It’s a fruit bomb: passion fruit and green apple, citrusy at first, then sweet with a passion fruit that dominates. After an hour, the amber and patchouli base emerges, becoming creamy due to the musk. It’s sweet and fruity, cheerful and sparkling for hot weather. I’d apply it sparingly because it can get overwhelming. It doesn’t fully convince me; the passion fruit is so present I don’t feel the other notes. I wouldn’t buy another bottle; for a similar vibe, I’d choose Natura’s passion fruit cologne. Honestly, it doesn’t even feel like a perfume to me.
With ‘Dahab,’ which means gold, the fragrance should exude wealth and luxury. But to my nose, it doesn’t smell opulent; instead, it’s a ripe cocktail of fruits. For a niche perfume, it’s neither difficult nor challenging, let alone a game-changer. It’s fun, cheerful, and playful, but a bit basic. People define it as elegant, but I think differently: it smells like Fructis with steroids, like rich drugstore shampoo—nothing complex or distinguished. It has its moment, surely, but not for sophisticated events; it’s more for a youthful, carefree vibe. Tropical apple and passion fruit with a decent fixative, but not memorable. The bottle is gorgeous, but for the price and what it offers, I think it’s overpriced.
Excellent. Croxatto Woman arrived, I bought it for my wife, and to my nose, it smells like a subtle inspiration of Kajal’s Dahab—very refined and sexy.
Dahab by Kajal: super delicious, sweet, fruity, and floral—exactly what I was looking for. It projects well, enveloping you and accompanying you without being loud or annoying. It was a blind buy, and when it arrived, I loved it because it had everything I wanted. That said, to be honest, I imagined it as stronger and more beastly. It didn’t fully meet my expectations, but I can’t deny it’s gorgeous and I love it. I give it 8/10; even though it wasn’t as explosive, I still enjoy it a lot.
It starts with a very noticeable, refreshing, playful, and sexy passion fruit. It evolves quite a bit until the four-hour mark, when it dries down identical to Al Haramain’s Erba Pura and Amber Oud. It’s high quality and very oriental, just like the brand—singing summer! But in the dry-down, it becomes very generic; we’ve all smelled this before, so it’s not worth the high price just to become common. From the brand, I’m sticking with Aican and Ruby, which I’m dying to try.
It’s a beautiful perfume. Passion fruit and apple embrace you with a fresh, discreet vibe before settling into woods and musk. It’s very wearable, reminiscent of Tiziana Terenzi’s Kirke but sweeter and more feminine. The only letdown is that the longevity and projection weren’t what I expected. Otherwise, its freshness makes me feel happy and energetic for work with the right attitude.
