  A rare amber with many nuances. Watch out, Quintessentyally Amber isn’t gourmand, sweet, or dense. I trusted the few reviews I found. At first, it smells like light amber with a strong medicinal/camphorated touch, like Antonio Gardoni. Honestly, the first time I didn’t get it, just like other critics said. That ‘wow’ Sebastian Jara mentioned comes from that surprising medicinal tone, like when he interviewed Sultan Pasha in Paris. After 10-15 minutes, the camphor fades, becoming very woody and creamy thanks to the sandalwood, which dominates and smells great. A salty touch from the ambergris and something smoky. Performance is modest, unisex but more for men. It doesn’t specify if the sandalwood is from Mysore, India, but I’d return for that. It should be called ‘Quintessentyally Sandalwood’. I didn’t like it at first, left it for two days, and when I came back to it, I finally connected. It’s a different amber than mine (Grand Soir, Ambre Eccentrico, my favorite Ambra Avrea). It has charm, but you need to get to know it. It stuck to my shirt collar and still smelled after four days. Lasts a long time on clothes. I like it and keep discovering it.

  Look, I’ve never tried anything like this. It’s not animalic, but it feels challenging, like spice powder and lots of amber. The projection and longevity are brutal. Don’t think making amber is easy; this proves it. Better to test before buying blindly.
