The opening is super citrusy, rare for a myrrh fragrance, and immediately reminded me of Fahrenheit Le Parfum and Josier’s Mystery Oud. It smells like tangerine (like the Fahrenheit) and has a noticeable violet, even though it’s not listed, which brings it closer to those two. After an hour, the citrus settles, releasing a spice (nutmeg) and very timid myrrh with a creamy, sweet base. Definitely didn’t expect this… I was looking for something warmer and stronger in myrrh, but since ADP makes pure colognes, it’s not surprising that it’s fresh and light. The best way to describe it is “a myrrh for summer.” You can tell the ingredients are high quality; the myrrh is subtle but works perfectly in the heat. Longevity is average: projects for the first hour and lasts at least 4-5 hours more. In short, an opening almost identical to Fahrenheit and an ambered/myrrhy base without losing ADP’s classic freshness. Would I buy a full bottle? I don’t think so…
Starts with a very rare citrus for a myrrh fragrance, reminding me of Fahrenheit Le Parfum and Josier’s Mystery Oud. It smells like strong tangerine with a touch of violet not listed, which brings it closer to those two. After an hour, the citrus fades, revealing a nutmeg spice, very subtle myrrh, and a creamy, sweet base. I didn’t expect this; I thought it would be warmer and more potent, but since ADP makes fresh colognes, it’s not surprising. It’s like a summer myrrh, with quality ingredients and a soft presence perfect for the heat. Longevity is average: noticeable for the first hour and still detectable for at least four or five more. In short, the opening is almost identical to Fahrenheit, and the base is ambered and myrrhy without losing ADP’s classic freshness. Would I buy a full bottle? I don’t think so.
For me, it’s good if you’re looking for something dark and mysterious at first, but once it settles, it smells very similar to Tom Ford’s Noir.
(I had a long review, and ‘plop!’, it got deleted upon posting. Trying to summarize) It smells warm, very warm, bright, slightly sweet, soft, yet persistent, with good longevity. It’s oriental, elegant, and sophisticated. I don’t notice the citrus opening, but I do detect nutmeg, myrrh, and amber. I won’t say it’s not for everyone, I’m just giving my opinion. To me, it’s a wonder, ideal for cold weather and better for the evening, though it leaves a pleasant trail during the day. I saw it from afar in stores and, due to some prejudice, never tried it until I was gifted samples and felt a wonderful connection. I don’t wear it daily; it’s for a fabulous home setting with formal attire, and I don’t see it on young people. A Madrid store told me in August 2019 that they would discontinue it; I hope it’s just to clear stock. If the Myrrh line ends, it will be a shame; I’ll keep the bottle like a treasure.
I missed posting a long review, so I’ll keep it short: it’s warm, bright, sweet, soft, and lasts a long time. Oriental, elegant, and sophisticated. I don’t notice the citrus opening, but I do detect nutmeg, myrrh, and amber. I’m not saying it’s not for everyone, just speaking for myself: it’s a marvel. Ideal for cold weather and night, though it leaves a lovely trail during the day. I saw it at Acqua Di Parma stores and, out of fear, never tried it until they gave me samples and I fell in love. It’s not for daily use or young people, more for special occasions and tuxedos. They told me in Madrid in August 2019 they would be removing it; I hope it’s not to clear stock. If they do remove it, what a pity; I would keep it like a treasure.
This is my first full review, but I have no choice. I’m more disappointed than angry. Sometimes I prefer to stay silent, but with this perfume and its price-to-quality ratio, I have to speak up. On my skin, it lasts less than an hour and evaporates with shocking ease. When I apply it, it smells very light; I have to lean in close to notice anything: a citrus touch at the beginning and a resinous, sweet myrrh base. That’s it. It’s versatile for any season, but… it doesn’t smell like anything. I’ll try 20 sprays this afternoon, but for now, I find it indifferent.
First review closed and no regrets: I’m more disappointed than angry. Sincerity is key here. Other times I stayed silent out of prudence, but with this I can’t. Price-quality ratio and reality on skin: it lasts less than an hour. It evaporates instantly. Upon application, it smells like nothing, so light that even bringing your nose close doesn’t register it. Citrus top, resinous base, and a touch of sweet myrrh. That’s it. Versatile for day or night… but it smells like absolutely nothing. I’ll try 20 sprays tomorrow, but for now, I couldn’t care less.
I want to clarify @ulito’s comment to avoid confusion. Out of all the ones I’ve tried, this is the one that lasts the longest. I’m surprised someone would say it evaporates in an hour, because myrrh is known for its longevity. I think the issue is that your nose gets numb, the batch was poorly stored, or something similar. No worries, this myrrh lasts more than 8 hours.
Hi @Adry_slim, thanks for the note. I think it’s just a matter of skin chemistry. I’m not the only one with this experience; some people get 12 hours of wear, while others get only 2. Maybe the best approach is for people to try it on their own skin and decide if they want to keep it.
I love it, ideal for around 55 degrees Fahrenheit. I can still smell it after 6 hours and I’m sure it projects a lot, although I initially overapplied it, so I wouldn’t recommend spraying it too close to your nose; it performs like an Eau de Parfum. The packaging is excellent. The scent reminds me of the old EAU Savage Parfum (the green bottle), not the Sauvage. It’s elegant and formal.
I adore it without exaggeration, from the first note to the last trace. It’s one of my top 5, and I hope it never runs out in my collection. It smells like a classic cologne but with an extra citrus kick; as it dries down, it becomes a sweet, woody, mysterious myrrh that grabs attention. A bit powdery after a while, but always just right and spectacularly classy, worthy of being the best in the house. I discovered it via a “Fragranceando” video and fell in love at first sight. If you’re looking for something intriguing yet striking, this is perfect: more masculine, ideal for almost all seasons except extreme heat, and suitable for formal, semi-formal, or date occasions. Performance on me is excellent; this ADP Colonia Mirra will be a turning point in my search. Note: 10/10 and five stars.
Without exaggerating, I love this perfume from the first spray to the last trace. It’s one of my top 5, and I hope it never runs out. It smells like a classic cologne, very citrusy, and as it dries down, it reveals a sweet, woody, mysterious, and captivating myrrh. Over time, it gets a bit powdery but remains sweet and spectacularly classy. I discovered it through a YouTube video and fell in love at first sight. If you’re looking for something intriguing yet striking, this is perfect. It’s more masculine, suitable for almost any season except extreme heat, and works for formal, semi-formal, or date situations. It performs incredibly well on my skin and will be a turning point in my search. Rating: 10/10.
To me, Acqua Di Parma is just a glorified Álvarez Gómez. Another proof of Italian marketing prowess with colognes like Blu, Essenza, or Club that project luxury. As for the Myrrh, I’m not entirely sure what it smells like. It starts citrusy and then leaves a faint brownie scent that lasts about an hour and a half. In my opinion, it’s completely dispensable.
In the end, I bought it. After a 10ml sample, I couldn’t resist. I’d describe it as elegant, sophisticated, dark, captivating, and magical. Here’s my honest opinion: at first, it smells like luxury leather shoe polish, with spices giving it character and personality. Maybe that initial phase is complex for some, but there’s a citrus freshness that makes it feel like an Italian cologne with the Acqua Di Parma seal. Then the citrus and spices fade to make way for nuts, leading to the star: myrrh. The finish is an olfactory pleasure that takes you to the thousand and one dreams of a summer night in the Middle East. A balsamic, vanilla, or chocolatey myrrh that seals this creamy, sweet, and elegant fragrance with a flourish. A unique experience that definitely enters my top 5.
I ended up buying it. After receiving a 10ml sample, I waited for the right moment to get the bottle. It’s elegant, sophisticated, dark, captivating, and magical. The opening smells like luxurious leather shoe polish, with spicy notes that give it personality. There’s a citrus freshness that makes it feel like an Italian cologne, with the Acqua Di Parma seal. Then the citrus and spices fade to give way to a nutty scent, and finally to the star: myrrh. The dry down is balsamic, vanilla-infused, creamy, and sweet, like a summer night in the Middle East. Definitely in my top 5.
I like it, but it might be a bit too ‘old school’ for me. Maybe it’s better reserved for special occasions.
