About Cologne One
Cologne One: Escentric Molecules' New Citrus Aromatic
Escentric Molecules introduces Cologne One, a new citrus aromatic fragrance for men and women, created by Geza Schoen. Launching in 2026, it blends sparkling citrus with the label's signature woody warmth.
True to the brand's minimalist approach, Cologne One is an eau de cologne for today: clean, versatile, and quietly addictive. It offers a modern take on a classic form, with a few unexpected twists.
The opening is bright and zesty, with lime, lemon, bergamot, and mandarin leading the way. Juniper berry and ginger add a crisp, lightly spicy edge, giving the top notes a contemporary kick that prevents them from feeling retro.
At the heart, Hedione creates a luminous, almost airy floral effect. Iris and water lily soften the blend with powdery, aquatic nuances, smoothing the transition into the base while keeping the composition sheer and elegant.
The base is anchored by Iso E Super, a material Escentric Molecules has made its own. Musk and amber add warmth and a subtle skin-like sensation, making the drydown feel personal and intimate without being heavy.
The dominant accords are citrus, fresh spicy, woody, aromatic, and musky. This combination allows Cologne One to work in many situations, from the office to a weekend getaway, and across different seasons.
With a rating of 4.08 out of 5 based on 143 ratings, Cologne One has quickly earned appreciation among fragrance enthusiasts. It doesn't shout for attention, but it leaves a lasting impression with its refined simplicity.
This scent will appeal to fans of fresh, aromatic colognes who want something more modern than the classics. It's also a great entry point for anyone curious about Escentric Molecules and the appeal of Iso E Super.
Cologne One is a beautifully balanced fragrance that proves simplicity can be sophisticated. Geza Schoen has crafted a citrus aromatic that feels both timeless and contemporary — an easy reach for everyday wear with enough character to stand out.

I wrote this review before looking at the notes, my perception was: At first it smells like lemon and lime, super citrusy, bitter and acidic, a very unpleasant mixture, and extremely strong in essence. My husband who was next to me said how ugly it is 😂 On drydown, luckily it changes, it transforms into a clean unisex fragrance, reminds me 80% of CK ONE (that is, very very similar) but the remaining 20% has more body, more seriousness. On drydown, both my husband and I like it. I don’t think it will make anyone sigh, but that it smells clean yes, I don’t think it will appeal to everyone either. As I said, on my skin the best comparison is the classic and unisex CK ONE, it goes along that line.
