Olivier Polge working with the meticulousness of a goldsmith in a modern homage to oakmoss, that cardinal axis of chypres, paired with a soft, slightly smoky patchouli and bergamot. A gift for the most exquisite palates.
It smells like Hermès with that earthy base, but on my skin it explodes into sweetness: ripe orange peel, orange blossom, and a potent patchouli that lasts 7 hours. It leaves an amber trail, sweet as talcum powder with noble woods, super creamy. I hesitated to see it listed for men, but I sprayed it on my wrist and people were blown away by that fresh, almost floral touch. Overall, it’s magnificent, distinguished, and perfect with jeans and a black sweater. I love it for rainy autumn and Madrid’s chilly winter mornings; it adds a soulful, luminous note to gray days. Tip: spray lightly so as not to overwhelm—a discreet, elegant gesture.
