I picked this up for 15 bucks at a Wal-Mart clearance sale. It smells like sawdust mixed with shots of whiskey and vanilla cream. It felt relaxing and wearable with average sillage. Could you ask for more from a department store after-shave? It exceeds expectations, it’s affordable and practical; plus, if you let it macerate a bit, it lasts quite a while.
It smells like a distillery, those barrels where they age the whiskey. Very masculine, with a strong bourbon hit right out of the bottle that blends with spices and vanilla (even though it’s not listed in the notes). The dry down is pure oak, like literally smelling a solid oak furniture piece.

It’s affordable and practical, plus, if you let it macerate a bit, it performs quite well.
I bought this fragrance on Amazon following PH.D TV’s recommendations and Fragrantica reviews. At first, the alcohol is strong and fades quickly, but it leaves a delicious spicy scent that reminds me of Kenzo Aqua’s nutty notes and lasts about half an hour. Then comes the bourbon (to me, it smells like rum) mixed with a vanilla sweetness, and by the second hour the oak is rich even though it’s now on the skin. My disappointment was that by the third hour, it was almost gone. It would be fantastic with better longevity and projection, but for a short date or personal use, it works well if applied moderately. Edit 04/26/2022: After several months of use, I’m correcting myself—the longevity and sillage are now super good; if you overapply it, it becomes an unbearable bomb. I’ve already gotten compliments without asking for this potent fragrance.
