A great success for the brand: smells like a campfire immediately, burnt wood with a touch of sweet marshmallows underneath. As it dries, it leaves earthy hints over vanilla. It’s not the same as Replica’s By The Fireplace; here the burnt wood stands out more, though the concept sounds a bit more commercial.

Woody vanilla, soft at first, accompanied by ash and campfire smoke that fades in intensity over time. I don’t dislike it and it evolves better, but the opening doesn’t seduce me enough to buy it. I don’t really detect the myrrh or benzoin on my skin; they’re probably very deep down. Better to try before buying.

When I smelled it, I thought: this is Baccarat Rouge 540 with lots of vanilla. But that concept already exists, like Rasasi Junoon Velvet Pour Homme. Although I’d say Rasasi is more potent, performs better, and smells more like BR540 than vanilla. I also remember my decant of Mancera’s Aoud Vanille, which is similar but sweeter and less BR540. The projection isn’t as good as its longevity; it has decent performance but less than Rasasi’s Junoon, which costs the same.

Ideal for an informal evening outing. I like that earthy-spicy touch. Although it’s original, it’s missing something to close that perfect combo it could have been but wasn’t.

Smells like a fire, a mix of smoked woods and clay. As it dries, the vanilla and benzoin rise along with other oriental notes that give it an Arab vibe. It reminded me of yurts with a fire in the desert. It’s a very original scent but too masculine on my skin. I wouldn’t buy it, but I liked smelling something so oriental and strange.

A mix of vanilla and woods. At first, the vanilla, then the woods take over. Later, you notice the myrrh, and the clay gives it an earthy touch, quite original. In the final dry down, more benzoin. Moderate projection, very good longevity. I see it for cold climates and unisex wear; the vanilla makes it feminine and the woods masculine. Good scent, but it didn’t fully win me over, especially considering the price.
