Couldn’t find it to try, but based on the notes, I’d like it. Without smelling it, I wouldn’t risk it. Update: I tried it at El Corte Inglés in Barcelona, and it passed without making or breaking anything; it didn’t say much to me.
Gentleman Perfume: pleasant, sweet, and fresh, not annoying at all. A real gem that girls love. Special for nights or rainy days, a great ally to conquer.
Tested today: 1) Nothing like One Million! Now everything smells like that. 2) Black Soul Imperial is a thousand times superior, believe me. As honor1 says, ‘gentleman perfume,’ but his sister Imperial is muuuuch better in every way, even in personality.
Starts with bergamot, mint, and orange blossom. Hours later, sweet woods and a musky dry-down. Not bad, but Imperial is more interesting. Doesn’t smell like 1 Million; maybe the mint confuses some people. Lasts over 12 hours, clinging to the skin at the end. Moderate sillage. Fresh for winter.
At first, a sweet, musky, mentholated candy. Then woods, and finally kitchen herbs like rosemary or laurel with a salty touch, not sure why.
Sweet and dated, with a green edge. It’s a heavy fragrance; if you overapply, it has nothing to do with 1 Million. A total letdown.
It smells overly sweet but outdated, slightly green, a heavy fragrance, especially if overapplied. It doesn’t resemble One Million at all as some claim. This fragrance is a disappointment.
Black Soul fits perfectly: dense, resinous, dirty, and animalic, but with a fresh twist that saves it. Smells like a cheap leather jacket rolled around in freshly cut grass.
First test in-store: cinnamon, incense, and woods last 4 hours. Average projection. Even though I hate that blend, here the incense hits its mystical role, perfect with leather or a suit. Not romantic, but distinctive. Not for everyone, try before you buy.
At first, animalic and earthy notes reminiscent of Ted Lapidus. A brief trace of Black Soul Imperial (maybe not the coffee). Then dry, a non-cloying sweet, powdery, and balanced scent. It follows the 1 Million logic but smells different. I like it more than the other, better balanced with a classic touch. Recommended.
At first, due to its animalic and earthy notes (which give it a particular appeal), it reminds me of the classic Ted Lapidus Pour Homme (the one in the dull gray bottle); I also perceive, though very briefly, a certain common base with Black Soul Imperial (I don’t think it’s the coffee). Then, in the dry-down, it leaves a sweet but not cloying, very pleasant, and well-balanced powder trail. Although it seems to follow a similar logic to the composition of 1 Million, it doesn’t smell like it. Honestly, I like this one more than that one because it’s better balanced and has a certain classic touch that makes it very interesting. Definitely recommend it.
I’ve used it on cold days or at night; I don’t consider it for summer. At first, it smells like insecticide; it’s minty and resinous, nothing like One Million as I’ve read. It’s an acceptable scent, a bit synthetic at the start. The trail is very soft; I smell it right next to the skin, it lasts 4 or 5 hours, projecting for a maximum of an hour if you’re generous. For the price, I think there are better options, even though it’s very cheap in Chile. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I bought this perfume for my husband years ago for our anniversary; it’s mid-range priced. It’s worth the investment because the scent is very masculine and woody; I love it. He’s already on his third bottle, so you won’t regret it.
It’s a scent similar to the classic Ted Lapidus Pour Homme, but this one is sweeter, fruitier, and more refined. I like its masculine and sweet aroma, quite unique, ideal for a cold or temperate night; use it for a date or dinner. Be careful with the sprays, it could be very strong depending on the person. It leaves a pleasant aroma on clothes and lasts until the next day. I have it and would buy it again.

I’m new here because I just picked up a 100ml bottle on sale at Makeup. It smells like a Pakistani warehouse in the middle of winter eating curry with bare feet, wrapped in dark shoes and leather jackets, with the clerk screaming ‘No copy, original, same same!!!!!’. I like different scents, but this… is very complex. I admit that in the dry-down it mutates drastically: you go from hating it to liking it enough to project it again. I’ll use it for mixing, even though it’s invasive. Anyone who says it’s similar to One Million should know they need urgent surgery, they’re not getting enough air, or they have a weird neural crossover. It’s a matter of smelling it first; if you buy it blind, you might absolutely hate it. Try giving it time. Analyze it later because the dry-down is intense. Cheers.

A pleasant surprise! I tried it out of curiosity since I associate the brand with another generation and don’t identify with their style, maybe because of the packaging. I found a very pleasant blend of two fragrances I like: at first, it smells like Spicebomb EDT, though with less punch, and after two hours it turns into Moschino Toy Boy. I can’t believe it doesn’t contain rose because that’s what blooms in the dry-down. Similar to those two powerhouses, but more synthetic with an 8-hour longevity. In the end, it settles into average aromatic notes, clean and decent. It lasts on clothes until the next day. For temperate or cold climates, evening wear, and casual style. If you like Spicebomb and Toy Boy but don’t have the budget, this ‘Dark Soul’ is an excellent alternative.
A very old-school 80s powerhouse, true to the house style. It’s the cousin of Ted Lapidus Black Soul Imperial (the latter being a bit more versatile and modern thanks to its spiced coffee note) and reminds me of the legendary Ted Lapidus Pour Homme from the 80s, or the cult classic Dark/Goth, the Black Extreme. It also evokes vintage luxury totems like YSL Kouros or Chanel Antaeus. TL Black Soul is a dark soul, strong and lasting 8-9 hours without reapplication, with a trail about half a meter wide for a couple of hours; it’s invasive and heavy, loaded with resins, balsam of Peru, spices, a light citrus touch, woods, florals, and lots of musk. This is for mature guerrilla types and fresh weather; above 30°C it’s pure Sarin gas. In short, nothing like modern perfumery. Most people, especially young or inexperienced ones, will find it dizzying and outdated. But, despite being not very versatile and hard to wear—almost an onanistic pleasure experience—it’s a great perfume. If you’re a guy unafraid of what others say, who doesn’t care, has no inhibitions, and has iron-clad personality, go for the Ted Lapidus. They never fail. Plus, they’re ridiculously cheap; 100ml rarely costs more than 40 bucks. Awesome. Come on, be brave.
Pure 80s powerhouse, very much in the house style. Think cousin to Ted Lapidus Black Soul Imperial (which is a bit more versatile with its spiced coffee note) and reminds me of the legendary 80s Pour Homme, the cult beast Dark/Goth Black Extreme, and other vintage luxury totems like Kouros or Antaeus. TL Black Soul, black soul, that’s exactly where it’s at: it’s strong, lasts a solid 8-9 hours without reapplication, with a 1.5-meter trail for a couple of hours. It’s invasive, heavy, loaded with resins, balsam of Peru, spices, a light citrus touch, woods, florals, and lots of musk. Naturally, this is for seasoned guerrillas and fresh weather; above 30°C, it’s pure Sarin gas. In short, nothing like current trendy perfumery. Most people, especially the young or inexperienced, will get dizzy, think it’s outdated, and find it unbearable. But… despite being not very versatile and hard to wear, almost a solitary olfactory pleasure, it remains a great perfume. If you’re a guy unafraid of what others say, who doesn’t care about anything, neither a pushover nor a snob, with iron-clad personality, go for the Ted Lapidus. They never let you down. Plus, they’re ridiculously cheap. Honest, reliable fragrances. You won’t pay more than 40 bucks for 100ml. Awesome. Come on, be brave.
It’s a great perfume; women literally throw themselves at you 😂. It has a very distinctive scent, like resin-sand, but in the end, it’s very fresh and sweet, absolutely delicious. With this, women literally want to eat you up 😏. 100% recommended 🕉️
It’s a weird but rich perfume; it smells a lot like Toy Boy to me.
I recommend it for the price, but it could use a sweeter or fresher touch on the skin to sound more youthful.
