Awaan by Lattafa Perfumes is a fruity aromatic fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition opens with the freshness of orange and bergamot in the top notes. The heart reveals the delicacy of orange blossom and jasmine, while the base settles on a backdrop of musk, patchouli, and sandalwood.

It’s unisex, although at first it smells super feminine due to that initial explosion; if you’re a man and you like sweet things, try it. It’s potent and fills the room, with citrus, fruity, and sweet notes. I would only put it on the wrists, about 3 sprays are enough, but try it yourself to find your measure, careful because if you overdo it, it gives you a headache. It doesn’t seem to have a dupe, I looked and nothing. I use it in cool-cold weather in the afternoon or evening; in heat, it can be overwhelming. After one or two hours, the sweetness drops and it becomes more woody, musky, and creamy; there it smells like a man, warm and sensual. The longevity is 8 to 10 hours, and when you shower, it explodes again. I recommend it with care: it has great trail, longevity, original scent, delicious evolution, and a heavy, quality bottle. But the opening is very strong, it’s not very versatile, and if you overdo it, it will hurt your head. In my opinion, it smells better after an hour.
It’s unisex, although it leans feminine; if you, man, love sweet perfumes, you can use it. The opening is an explosion of all the notes, to the point that at first it seems only for her, but then it evolves. It’s potent, strong, and with a great trail; with a single spray you fill the room. You can smell the citrus, fruity, and sweet aroma. In my case, I apply it only on the wrists, maybe 3 sprays are enough. Try it yourself to find your dose, but don’t start with a lot because it can give you a headache. Is it a dupe of something? So far I haven’t heard anything similar nor is it mentioned on the internet. I would use it in cool-cold weather, afternoon or evening; in lots of heat I think it can overwhelm you. After about 1 to 2 hours, the intensity of the sweetness drops and it becomes more woody, musky, and creamy. The sweet notes are still there, but less ‘bright’. That’s when you know men can use it too; the notes fuse giving a warm and sensual aroma. Longevity: they say it’s 8-10 hours. When you shower, everything explodes again. Do I recommend it? Yes, but with care. ✔️ Trail ✔️ Longevity ✔️ Novel and original aroma ✔️ Unexpected and delicious evolution ✔️ Beautiful packaging and heavy bottle (feels quality) ❌ Opening too potent. Too much is too little. 😅 ❌ Not very versatile ❌ If you overdo it, your head will surely hurt. In my opinion, it smells better an hour after application.
Hi everyone, they always criticize long reviews, but this time I understand why. I bought it a week ago with high expectations. I knew it by chance, nothing to do with TikTok trends. A friend greeted me in the parking lot, and as I approached his car, I smelled an incense shop. I asked what it was, and he told me it was his Lattafa Pride Awaan. He handed me the box, and I could touch that velvet interior and the bottle; the packaging is magnificent (watch out for clones). It was love at first sniff. I asked for the details and received it quickly. I wanted to open it, but I wanted to write a review first. Two days later, anxiety won, and I opened it to take it to the office. I remembered a review warning about closed places because it can be annoying, so I used it carefully on a sporty Friday. Oh surprise! Almost no one noticed, and I almost cried. But Saturday I had an event at 8 AM in an auditorium hall. I put it all over my body: neck, wrists, nape, chest, ribs, behind the knees, in my boxers, and I went to introduce myself. In the elevator, I already saw gestures and heard them saying what a rich scent and that it’s very strong. I arrived at the event with 200 people, and about 150 asked me what I was wearing. I felt that glory can be bought. It comes in beautiful 100 ml bottles. Only Bleu de Chanel gave me so many compliments at once. Since I’m a sweet tooth, 8 hours later I went to a store and the cashier asked again. Then I went to a bigger store and they asked again. I already had 9 hours on my skin (I applied it at 7 AM) and it projected over 3 meters. Conclusion: you love it or hate it because it’s very strong. Give it another chance and apply more quantity if your environment doesn’t react. This perfume paid for itself. I love it. PS: I felt all its notes all day, even 12 hours later. Con: sometimes I feel something synthetic, I think it’s the materials and their quality. I recommend it to men who want to stand out. I’m from Paraguay, here the cold is scarce, but we have summers of 45, 48, 50 degrees.
The bergamot opening is potent but fades quickly, leaving the stage to the orange blossom and jasmine. The base notes arrive a while later but are very subtle, because the intensity drops in minutes and leaves a discrete trail. It’s not as potent as you’d expect from an Arabic perfume, but what more could you ask for at the price?
Does anyone else get addicted to Lattafa? I do. This is my fourth perfume and I don’t regret it at all, though I appreciate infinitely those who leave reviews here; they’re my reference and I value them. Lattafa hasn’t disappointed me, but watch out: these aren’t scents for everyone. I love buying blind and the house’s notes, but my husband hasn’t liked any of my perfumes. My friend and I are Lattafa fans for two reasons: THE SCENTS and THE LONG-LASTING POWER/PROJECTILE. I bought Awaan because my Ana Abiyedh was running out, which I loved, but I want to explore options based on the day’s mood. Ana Abiyedh is super versatile and I wanted something like that. Awaan is an under-explored gem and has few reviews. Personally, I don’t like citrus notes, but the white florals surprised me. It’s unisex, but it leans feminine; at least my husband doesn’t use it. Lattafa and the PRIDE line are a dream: luxury packaging (unfortunately so spacious I can’t keep them) and beautiful, simple, and elegant bottles. With Lattafa, you have to be careful because the scent is potent. I used it for the first time yesterday in a city with lots of heat and humidity: I put it on at 9 AM (before clothes and with them on), went to eat, came back at 11 (it was hot), walked 2/3 blocks to church (with lots of sun), came back an hour later (walking in the sun), went to the supermarket. I came back, stayed home with the heat, showered at night and I still smelled it (I don’t know where, since I had already changed clothes). Today I got up to exercise and it projects the scent. The trail depends: in enclosed spaces it intensifies and lasts longer, in open spaces it dissipates, but the scent remains (I smell it all the time). I’m bad at describing scents, but I perceive VERY STRONG citrus and white floral notes; after about two hours it settles into a sweet note (something cloying if you’re not used to it) and wood with a very slight musk touch. By the end of the day, it’s a delicious little sweetness. My mission is to walk around like a walking air freshener lol, so if I put on several sprays before and after clothes, repeating, it sounds selfish but I don’t mind flooding the room with my perfume =D I’ve already received compliments, so I’m well taken care of. In summary: Awaan has been a VERY PLEASANT surprise (but it doesn’t surprise me, Lattafa has liked me a lot), with HIGH longevity and a perceptible trail. I like that it has sandalwood, patchouli, musk, and other things that say the perfume isn’t from “here,” but exotic. I love it. Highly recommended!!!!!! UPDATE: I’VE BEEN USING IT FOR ABOUT 4 DAYS, AFTER TWO HOURS I PERCEIVE A SWEET NOTE. BY THE END OF THE DAY, IT’S LEFT A DELICIOUS LITTLE SWEETNESS. IT’S ULTRA POTENT.

Pleasant surprise with this perfume; the compliments about the aroma haven’t been missing, which is very nice. I have other fragrances that should be more attractive, but this one is unbeatable. I had several women smell it blind, and it won every duel against my best perfumes (Tygar, Layton, Hacivat, and Ani). I’m not saying it lasts or projects more, I need more tests, but in terms of scent, it surprisingly beat the others.
This perfume caught me by surprise, the compliments about the scent haven’t stopped coming, and that has been a pleasure. I have other fragrances that, in my judgment, should shine more, but this one has been unbeatable. I tested it in a blind tasting in front of several women and it won against my best favorites (Tygar, Layton, Hacivat, and Ani), although my collection isn’t huge, I didn’t expect such success. I clarify that I’m not talking about longevity or projection, there’s still more to test, but in terms of scent, they chose it without doubt over the rest.
Hello, I’d like to know if it really smells like L’interdit by Givenchy, since it doesn’t declare having nardos but I’ve heard they are similar. I know for many L’interdit is a masterpiece, but the classic version isn’t to my taste, and I don’t know whether to buy Aawan blindly or not. Hope someone can guide me. Greetings.
I think I should stop believing verbal reviews claiming Arab perfumes are special and imitate designer or niche scents. I’ve tried several, and so far only two were worth it. I bought this because it’s said here to resemble L’interdit, BUT IT DOESN’T. In Aawan, I found nothing special. For me, from the start, it’s musk with citrus; the nardos aren’t the stars. After two months, editing: it smells woody when dried down. From the beginning, I still feel musk bathed in citrus, and the white flowers stand out very little. The most beautiful part is the bottle and packaging, very gorgeous.
I think I should stop believing the verbal reviews that say Arabic perfumes are so special and manage to imitate designer or niche ones. I’ve tried many and so far only two have been worth it. I bought it because they say here it’s like L’Interdit, BUT IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT. In Awaan I haven’t found anything special. For me, from the start, it’s a musk with citrus; the neroli aren’t protagonists. After two months I come back to edit and say that in the dry down it smells woody. From the beginning I still feel a musk bathed in citrus and the white florals stand out very little. The nicest thing is the bottle and the packaging, very beautiful.
A smile just appears when smelling it, it smells so good. It’s sweet with light citrus touches. It reminds me of the orange in Mandarin Sky mixed with the amber from White Edition. It has a similar aroma to those two, though it’s not redundant if you already own both. On skin, it lasted over 12 hours, even after showering it still smelled. It projects solidly for about two hours. I recommend it if you like sweet and citrus perfumes. Another Pride line surprise.
To ConiEtcheverry: It doesn’t resemble L’INTERDIT at all. If you want something very similar, Arab, and with nice packaging, I recommend FAKHAR ROSE from Lattafa too. That’s where you’ll actually find nardos.
It makes me happy to smell it, it smells rich: a sweet with soft citrus touches. It reminds me of the Mandarin Sky orange mixed with the amber of White Edition. It has an air similar to those two, but it’s not redundant if you already have both. On the skin, it lasted more than 12 hours, even after showering it still smelled. It projects for about two hours very solidly, I recommend it if you like sweet and citrus perfumes. Another Pride line that has surprised me.
Aawan is a delightful perfume, unique with its own character. Beautiful and with respectable longevity. In my opinion, the quality extends from the packaging to the liquid. Thanks to Lattafa for this perfume; the price-to-quality ratio is far superior.
Hello fellow perfume lovers. I bought this because a friend told me to check it out at the counter, smelled it, and I was blown away, like being in an Arab shop with incense and relaxing oils… I was shocked, stuck my head out the window, and was amazed. It was love at first sniff. Okay, no exaggeration, I ordered it, opened it, and… I fell in love. I use it for occasions where I want people to stop me at a party and ask what perfume I’m wearing. Evening outdoor events, summer outings, weddings, club parties with smoke, and I still want to stand out. I don’t recommend it for enclosed spaces; it’s not for the office (or you’ll kill everyone, lol). It lasts forever: on skin, on clothes even after washing, and the next day on the pillow… you should prepare to be the PROTAGONIST. SO YOU KNOW. PRAISE AND ASKING HOW IT’S CALLED EVERY FIVE MINUTES, LOL.
This is an intensely sweet fragrance from the very first second. The opening is powerful, with spices mixing with marked sweetness to create a strong, enveloping impact. As it dries down, the sweetness persists and dominates, staying stable. It has notable projection and good skin longevity. Personally, I feel it leans more masculine, with a mature, dark base that attracts those who love intense, sweet scents. I recognize its quality, but it just didn’t resonate with my style.
At first, despite saying orange, it smells like grape soda, but that lasts only 10 minutes. Then it turns floral without being heavy, finishing with flowers, musk, and sandalwood—very enjoyable. I haven’t heard anything like it. It’s unisex, but if you like perfume, you’ll love it; anyone can wear it. Compliments never stop, especially from women. It lasts 6-7 hours if you’re generous, with solid projection for 2-3 hours. Ideal for mild weather or the office; outdoors, it might suffocate if it’s hot.
I was eager to try this based on the notes, but once applied… it’s so heavy! It made me so dizzy I even got stomach pain that night. It doesn’t smell citrusy at all; the patchouli, sandalwood, and musk are way too prominent. I’d only recommend this to someone older, like 60 (respectfully), and only one spray—that’s enough to last all day. Don’t buy it blindly. It has great longevity and sillage, but I gifted it to my mom for winter instead.
I had good expectations from the notes, but upon applying it! Oh my god!, it seemed super heavy to me, the scent made me so dizzy that I got a stomach ache at night. It’s not citrusy at all to my taste, the patchouli, sandalwood, and musk feel too much. I would recommend it for someone older, around 60 years old (with respect) and only one spray, with that you have for the whole day. Don’t buy it blind. It has good fixation and trail, I’ll give it to my mother for winter.
