I just bought it as a gift for my father: It’s much more than I expected; in fact, I’m thinking of getting it for myself because I had a different opinion on Quorum (the original), but this one has filled me with expectations for what I’ll wear from now on. All the past is better, and I believe the same applies to perfumes.

I bought it, waited eagerly, and had high expectations based on the reviews, but (it didn’t impress me) it’s a common fresh fragrance. Many compare it to Polo Sport, but I dare not discredit a Ralph Lauren gem. It’s more similar to the Aspen budget line; it’s not sophisticated or novel. Fresh aroma with green notes, a woody base, and that’s it. Scent: 6, Longevity: 6, Projection: 5, Price: 8.

  • Aqua Quorum is the embodiment of Quorum in the 90s: the colors of its box and bottle say it all. The same concept as the legendary Puig work changes radically. The herbal qualities of Quorum are deep, forest-like, and threatening. In contrast, Aqua Quorum has a bright, clean tone, like freshly watered grass. It’s a happy twist, a conversion to the fern as understood in the early 90s, when the genre was heavily influenced by Cool Water. A fresh, radiant fern, very aromatic, with a youthful spirit. It reminds me of proposals like Polo Sport, Eternity, and Escape by Calvin Klein, New West by Aramis, Horizon by Guy Laroche, and so many other wonderful perfumes that reigned before aquatic scents became the priority. The opening oscillates between herbal and fruity to quickly incorporate that fresh, aquatic note of dihydromyrcenol, which stands out in Aqua Quorum but is always well complemented by springtime and floral touches, leaning towards a sporty and informal vibe. The perfume doesn’t share much with the hardcore ferns of the 80s or the later zen aquatics. Its trail is moderate with good longevity, more than adequate for these characteristics. Aqua Quorum smells like a Game Boy and a Michael Jordan play. It’s a rich and detailed historical tableau, proving that the only bad thing done under the Quorum name is its latest reformulation.

  • The famous Aqua Quorum, a work by three great noses, including the master Morillas. If Polo Sport is plagiarism by one of those noses? We don’t know; you don’t ask what you see. Does this fragrance gain value from its association with Polo? I don’t think so; it stands on its own and is worth much more, especially for the price paid—excellent value. Mistake? Its packaging is too colorful for its lineage, which is also a success because it doesn’t get confused with its older brother, the beautiful creation Quorum. Lavender, geranium, and leather—a sophisticated, modern, high-quality balance, a work close to genius, with marketing aimed at the masses that prevented it from taking its rightful place in history. If you see it, don’t let it pass you by.

  • Lavender! It smells very similar to Polo Sport and Perry Ellis Reserve. I recommend this fragrance; don’t let the low cost fool you—it’s good and will make you feel fresh and clean.

This fragrance is one of my boyfriend’s, and he wears it in spring and summer. At first, I get a rich, masculine scent; what I perceive most is strong lavender and some citrus, probably grapefruit. It easily lasts 5 hours. As I said, it has a strong opening. I don’t know the original Polo Sport, nor if it resembles how this one opens, but to me, it’s similar to Cool Water since he owns both. It must be the lavender that dominates, only that Cool Water is much softer and this one is stronger; the lavender is more present. If you don’t like lavender, I don’t recommend it, but if you do, it’s a good fragrance at a low cost.

Very 90s; you might feel a bit old wearing it, but it’s a fragrance that’s too masculine and intoxicating. It won’t appeal to most young people now (including me), who prefer sweet citrus scents, since women usually like that sweet touch this perfume lacks. That said, it’s good: a classic, fresh, yet powerful scent. Great longevity. The price is the best, and the bottle is very 90s but beautiful. That standout blue is the best part; I love that blue glass like in Dylan Blue. It smells best right after application; later, the notes aren’t as special. Maybe because the citrus is more noticeable at first. Better for daytime than nighttime use. You can wear it anywhere except parties (it stands out, isn’t fun, it’s flat and serious), but it looks spectacular at the gym.

  • Good fragrance. At first, it didn’t fully convince me, but after 3 or 4 minutes, it surprised me for the better with a very clean, sporty scent—ideal for a weekend stroll by the coast. The longevity is incredible; I put it on after a hot shower and it lasted over 8 hours. After 6 hours, the projection fades a bit, but it’s still alive. Note: spray it 10-15 cm from the skin. It’s a classic aroma, like a logger with a good mustache, haha, but it fits today. I think I grew up smelling this as a kid, so it’s immediately appealing to my subconscious. It reminds me of the movie Scarface: sun, beach, floral shirt, Miami, luxury cars… (novice opinion, trying to describe it as I feel it).

  • I recommend it because it smells good, lasts long, and the price is ridiculous. It leaves you feeling fresh and clean; the scent is stable without much evolution, but it leaves a nice trail.

  • Excellent… I’ve had this since 1997. I have to say, they diluted it a lot, and it doesn’t have the punch of the 90s anymore, but I still think it’s a great perfume.

  • daniiecrowley

Smells like a clean man, like what a man should smell like in the heat. I don’t see it as an old-school scent; it suits men 25 and up, and younger ones too; it looks great with character. Projects well for the first 3 hours, then fades to 4 hours close to the skin, smelling like rich, fresh shower gel. Without a doubt, a great buy during these seasons: good for the office because it’s not invasive, good for the gym because of the freshness, and good for going straight from the gym showered as you should be—an exercised, clean man. Only downside: the atomizer sprays too much and you lose product in transit. Scent: 8, Longevity: 8.5, Projection: 8, Price: 10, Rating: 8.62.

It’s truly satisfying to see that fragrances from the early 90s remain as relevant as this. The price-to-quality ratio is ridiculously good. It’s a fresh yet serious fragrance, clean, with a great vibe, very versatile for daytime, and very linear in its development. I especially recommend it for vacation days at the beach and the gym.

  • I don’t like it at all; it smells very artificial and the dry-down is horrible, at least on my skin, nothing like Silver or the classic.

  • I’ve seen on Fragrantica that some people wait for a super-niche fragrance with 72-hour longevity and a 4km sillage for the price of a loaf of bread. Friends, wake up; it’s not like that. I think criticism should be based on price/performance: is it worth what you pay? Does it give you more for that price? Is it a scam? Are there better options for the same money? Said that: exquisite, refreshing without being aquatic, mature, slightly vintage (due to the oakmoss), very clean, even with a talc note. Perfect for spring and especially summer (day and night). Totally for daily use. Is it worth the price? Absolutely. It even qualifies as a signature scent. In my opinion: Aqua Quorum > Quorum > Quorum Silver.

  • A refreshing burst of grapefruit (somewhat alcoholic at first) that dries down to notable, relaxing lavender. Oakmoss timidly appears in the base, gaining confidence and intimacy with geranium to give a soft talc-like finish, nothing sweet. It’s fresh and robust, excellent for cooling down in the heat at a ridiculous price. Worth more than it costs. Yes, it’s synthetic, but if you want something more natural, pay at least 10 times more. Yes, it’s generic, but think: since 1994, how many haven’t copied the style of the legends? This is one of those legends. Totally recommended.

A classic summer fragrance, the typical cologne you used to get as a kid or teenager. It’s harmless, makes no pretensions of magnificence, refreshing and cheerful, but nothing more. An economical option for wearing inside on hot days to smell good for a while. Performance is very weak, even with heavy spraying. I like it, but there are better options even considering how cheap it is.

  • The presentation is quite ugly, but the atomizer has power. Not so the fragrance. The opening is pleasant, not alcoholic. When it dries, it feels like deodorant. It lasts a long time on skin and clothes, but has no projection; you can spray it 12 or more times without worry. It doesn’t bother anyone, but it goes largely unnoticed.

  • If you know Polo Sport, this will sound familiar; maybe it’s not identical, but it’s close. It’s a pleasant, uplifting blue aromatic fragrance from before the genre went mainstream. Mint isn’t in the notes, but you can feel it in the blend; leather is there too, layered underneath. Good price, you get a bottle and an 80s-style cap that looks retro-cool, with a modern scent.

  • @efrensil says Harry Fremont, creator of Aqua Quorum and also Polo Sport, allegedly copied the formula and offered it to Ralph Lauren, who accepted. That’s why they’re almost identical, though Aqua Quorum is much cheaper. Cheers.

The 90s at their finest. It gives me the feeling of a new video game room, a movie premiere, or when you bought your favorite sneakers and opened the box. Smells great, it’s a beautiful and fun fragrance.

  • It’s the original Polo Sport, came out earlier, and I believe it lasts longer. The price ratio is 1 to 4 compared to the current Polo Sport, so you know which one to choose…

  • This one definitely has lavender! I understand that elements have become synthetic due to inflation, ‘resource conservation,’ or restricted ingredients. Also, the drive to produce cheaply without caring about quality. But why? Why do lavender notes smell so artificial, metallic, and bland today, more like disinfectant? The disaster with the old Giorgio Wings is unforgivable. It seems that whole wave of 90s fresh aquatic fragrances, which shone so bright, now come reformulated and smell like cheap air fresheners. But it wasn’t always like that; there was an era with quality worthy of it, natural aromas, or ones trying to approach them. It wasn’t about dilution, but exploring other variants, leaving behind woody and tobacco scents due to saturation. Finding a 90s bottle of Aqua Quorum is like reviving those classics. Puig knew what to do: they sniffed the market and hired expert noses in ‘aquatic,’ including the creator of New West for Him and Polo Sport. As soon as you spray, you feel an electric freshness with a lavender that shines. It’s not dense, accompanied by the freshness of grapefruit that makes it lighter. As it settles, geranium and a soft, ambered moss appear. The grapefruit calms down, the florals vibrate. With minimal floral notes, lavender has its place. Perfect for those who love this note. It sets itself apart from the old Giorgio Wings or Guy Laroche’s Horizon, where florals dominate. Reminds me of Animale without so much bergamot, or Cool Water and Polo Sport, but with its own charm. Although it doesn’t appear in Fragantica’s notes, it has wood when dry, perhaps some leather, less obvious than in the Horizon. It advances and becomes more interesting. It’s a BOMB for an aquatic fragrance: one spray has extraordinary projection and fixation. Be careful, because fresh doesn’t mean weak. It has a slight citrus acidity that lingers, but it’s not metallic or opaque. If you already have Animale or Polo Sport, it’s not strictly necessary, but for the cheap price, it’s worth it. It’s a ‘must-have’ for this style. My review is of a 90s tester.

  • My first perfume back in the 90s, a gift from my sister. Fresh and sweet on my nose, memories of party nights and carefree days. Every so often I buy it again; although the longevity is lower, it remains a lovely scent.

  • What a wonderful perfume. Smells like a sporty man, an excellent representation of the 90s line. If you like Polo Sport, you can’t miss Aqua Quorum; it’s the original formula. Cheaper and with better longevity than Polo Sport. Clean scent with that lavender and freesia. A bomb for being an aquatic fragrance. Highly recommended and it has the 3 Bs (good, beautiful, and mega cheap).

  • cabreraalex

Aqua Quorum is fresh, blue, and sporty; it does its job very well. This is the third time I’m buying it; it’s always been in my collection because my dad has been wearing it since the 90s. It’s a classic from that era. The scent reminds me of Le Male or Cool Water. In two words: aromatic and simple. Flat, simple notes full of nostalgia, very comfortable on any nose. The note that stands out the most is lavender, present from the spray to the dry down. Plus, that grapefruit gives it a pleasant citrus touch. It can feel a bit synthetic, but it’s for less than $15. Despite the price, it doesn’t smell like alcohol. Ideal for the gym, school, beach trips, or hot days. Watch out with usage: there are many similar ones at that price (Cool Water, Voyage, Cold, Life Energy) that have stolen its market. Double-edged sword: advantage, it stands out in the crowd; disadvantage, oversaturation. I bought one that had been waiting for a buyer for two years, and its projection dropped a lot. Finally, I’ve received compliments from women for its freshness and cleanliness. In conclusion: easy to use, masculine, fresh, and versatile. 8.5/10.

  • zmjuanpablo

Cheap and effective for hot days or sports. I used it for running in the park.

  • andreguilera

Excellent fragrance, ideal for those days when you don’t know what to use or for going to the gym. Smells clean. Perfect for everyday wear. Projection: 6/10. Longevity: 7/10. Price: 10/10.

  • Davidsitooo

The price is a joke. It’s a fresh, floral, vintage fougère, timeless and perfect when you don’t know what to wear. Yes, it’s classic, but it doesn’t smell old; great for spring, summer, and even fall. What does it smell like? To me, it’s floral detergent and fresh, not fabric softener because it lacks creaminess, nor soap because it’s more sparkling. For $15, it’s a must-have.

  • Smells like ‘new’: a new shirt, a new suit, or freshly unpacked office papers. It conveys seriousness and maturity. It would be one of my favorites if it weren’t for a note that reminds me of sweat, which takes away a bit of that ‘clean scent’ and gives it a ‘rebellious seriousness’. Still, I totally recommend it: it’s potent, intense, and impossible to ignore. Moderate longevity and a good trail. I give it a 6/10.

  • Fragranticman

Lavender and citrus, nothing else. I absolutely love it for its simplicity. It smells super clean, but watch out: the trail is brutal and fills the room for the first two hours, so use it in moderation. Lasts a medium amount of time, about 4-6 hours. Despite the years, it never goes out of style; it’s timeless, perfect for people 25 and up, even up to 60 if you want. And the best part: it’s crazy cheap. It’s a decent fragrance, not mind-blowing but not annoying either. Since I discovered it, I’ve bought no less than 5 bottles. I agree with everyone else. I give it a 6/10.

  • micoelperfumista

A perfume that definitely smells classic and gives me a huge nostalgia hit when I apply it. It’s never unpleasant, as long as you’re careful with the sprays because it projects a lot.

  • An incredible budget pick. Smells 95% like Polo Sport (and considering the story that Fremont stole the formula and sold it to RL). The only thing is, maybe they tweaked something that makes Polo feel more refined, with a light dusty touch that adds elegance and formality. Pity they discontinued it; it’s the most usable Quorum for a younger crowd (whereas the original and Silver are better suited for adults over 30).

  • Amazing fragrance, doesn’t feel old or anything. I’m 33 and I love it. It’s potent for being fresh, feels aquatic and herbal. I sprayed it three hours ago and it’s still projecting strongly. Totally recommended, bought blindly. It cost me $10 in Chile for 100 ml. People say it’s similar to Cool Water (one of my favorites), but I don’t detect any resemblance; they’re just in the same fresh-aquatic line. Price: 10/10, Scent: 8/10, Sillage: 8/10, Longevity: 8/10.

  • Very pleasant aroma 😍, soft and a bit sweet, delicious. It has a super grapefruit note 👍🏻. Excellent performance (hours and hours on skin), lasts for days on clothes. A true all-rounder (4×4). Buy it with your eyes closed 💯% recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️

  • Victortor

A vintage fragrance that holds up well over time without feeling dated. No mysteries here: lavender, citrus, and moss. It has an earthy, herbal base that’s refreshing in its own way. There’s a floral touch, but it’s not the star—it just complements the composition and adds relaxation as it dries. Great value for money, though I still end up preferring the Quorum. Works year-round, though less so in cold weather. Not for very young people; it’s for middle age, a great office pick. Smells serious, without edges, mature. It’s excellent, and if you see the price… it performs more than it’s worth.

  • Totally budget-friendly, good longevity, and a pleasant aroma for any occasion. It’s one of my first perfumes; I’m 38 and loved it since I was 15, which makes me feel like it’s a ‘hugable’ scent. The only downside is that sometimes I feel the dry-down is slightly acidic. It’s not discontinued in Chile and costs $10–12.

  • incognito

I hadn’t smelled this in over 30 years, bought it blindly today, and it smells exactly like I remembered. What a great fragrance for 12 euros. It lasts twice as long as any current designer eau de toilette. It’s fresh, clean, and sober. Sure, it recalls 90s perfumes, but it still has its share of modernity. At first, it smells soapy, but as it dries down, it becomes more serious and mossy. Great addition to my collection, and what a shame that other Puig classics like Vetiver or Sybaris have been discontinued.

  • It’s a perfume that delivers and smells great—very similar to Polo Sport but at a price that doesn’t hurt.

  • Felipe_fotografo

Super fresh scent, almost marine, sporty style—perfect for summer at the beach. It’s very similar to Polo Sport.

  • Top fragrance. I paid 300 pesos (about $18) and it smells incredible. It’s floral and citrusy but with a strong masculine edge, bringing back memories of the 90s or early 2000s. Honestly, at this price, it’s a better option than Nautica Voyage; Aqua Quorum beats it.
