It’s a pretty average and unappealing fragrance. If you’re over 50, it’s great for everyday wear, but if you’re young and looking for something modern that stands out, this isn’t it.
Lucomavid
It has that classic fougère profile, but it doesn’t smell old; it does require a certain maturity and presence to wear well. Eternity brings back the wonderful 90s with that clean, crisp, soapy gentleman vibe. I won’t be buying it again since my taste has moved in a different direction, but I’m delighted to have tried it.

Good perfume, but it doesn’t last long.
Aaroncioo
It’s fresh, sweet, and delicate, with a woody floral base and citrus notes. The sillage is subtle and, depending on the day, it can fade quickly; it’s not as long-lasting as before.

One of the richest scents I’ve ever tried; I absolutely love the aroma… it’s a true 90s classic. I was born in 1983, my dad had this between 1991 and 1993, and I used to wear it to school when I was 9. I bought it in the US in 1995, then a colleague brought me a bottle from there in 2013. Today, I bought the 45% concentrated extract, and it smells exactly like the 1991 batch; it brought back memories of those school days. It smells amazing on me now.

What does it smell like? They say 300 km/h, but to me, it’s like Yanbal’s Temptation. It’s very fresh and citrusy, more in the classic Calvin Klein style. The Temptation I owned was quite heavy, but this one isn’t; it meets all expectations despite being a 90s classic.

Great scent if it would last longer. That said, it’s nothing modern. It projects really well, feels fresh and clean for daily wear, and you can’t go wrong.

A fragrance that any herbal lover must have. Calvin Klein’s Eternity is an artist when it comes to creating white, wearable, and easy-to-use perfumes. The brand leans heavily on easy-to-understand scents, and this is no exception—it’s one of their best. It’s a citrus-aromatic fragrance that offers freshness and maturity: it greets you with prominent lavender and citrus, then moves into a bouquet of flowers and slightly spicy herbs, before settling into the ruggedness of vetiver and white sandalwood. A fantastic 90s fragrance that never goes out of style.

The quintessential 90s icon fragrance. I smelled it as a kid and, after 20 years, finally decided to buy it myself. I also own the EDP, which I like for its fuller body, but it gives me a headache—something that’s never happened before. That’s why I bought the EDT, which is lighter and more wearable for daily use. I agree that the longevity is scarce and it only lasts if your nose is particularly fond of it. But for 40 euros in Austria, even with better performance, it has a distinct DNA. It’s worth it for me, yes. I would recommend it, probably not.

I still have a little bit left in a bottle from 1995. It was perfect, with great longevity and sillage. The current version smells the same for only five minutes and then fades away. Terrible longevity. Another fragrance they’ve ruined. European perfume houses are scamming their customers.

Smells good, but it fades in a flash. Not worth it.

Not for me; it’s too herbal. I admit it smells elegant and classic, but it just doesn’t suit me. It’s not for young people, more for gentlemen or formal occasions. I tried it as a tester and had to wash my skin afterward, but fair warning: it’s not a bad perfume, just not for me.
IliaApturioTopturio
I like it, but it smells a bit like ‘grandpa,’ something for people over 30. It doesn’t last long, but since it’s cheap, I recommend it 👏

A classic green scent everyone knows, but still enjoyable. Better to grab it in a dupe: it lasts longer and smells almost identical. It has citrus, basil, and a touch of musky wood…

February 2025. I forgot about this perfume and had stopped caring about Mr. Klein and his derivatives; I was tired of it. But by some magic, I remembered using it in the 90s and how much I loved it. The memory triggered when I returned to Foz do Iguaçu after 30 years and stopped by Ciudad del Este to buy whatever. I walked into a mall and felt compelled to buy it again without even testing it. Days later in Foz, I tried the Eau de Parfum—that’s the one to get: much more intense and, above all, longer-lasting. The old version lasted almost a week in my bag; the new one, besides not resembling anything (it used to be more metallic and sweet, now it’s citrus/herbal/floral), doesn’t last at all, just a few hours on the skin. It’s more formal and mature, but it feels half-baked.

A classic that doesn’t last a minute. Smells clean and fresh. There are better options, both from Arab brands and others; this brand is very sporty and scarce… the scent is very personal.

Eternity for Men by Calvin Klein. Legendary, with a reputation to live up to. Fresh and citrusy with a vintage vibe. Mandarin and basil notes have a good opening, but the mid-notes are weak, lasting only 2-3 hours on skin. The trail and projection drop after the first hour, but it’s a fragrance that many love. It’s one of the three Calvin Kleins I’d own again. If you catch it at a good price, it’s a safe buy. Rating: 8/10

Tested with a few drops. Smells cheap, fresh, and soulless. There are better options.

I own nearly 100 perfumes, but this one has become my signature. I’ve always loved vintage scents, and Eternity captures that crisp, old-school elegance—think Dior’s Eau Sauvage (without copying it), but without the harsh, seventies vibe of Polo Green or Azzaro. Lavender and citrus dominate here; it feels like a 90s Eau Sauvage compared to the original from the 60s. Out of all my fragrances, this is the one that defines me most. It ran out, and I immediately repurchased it because I couldn’t live without it. Yes, it doesn’t last long, and it’s definitely been reformulated, but in this case, I couldn’t care less.

Smells okay, but it lacked character. I owned it back in the 90s and never bought it again since…

Very commercial, very mass-produced. Very good, very rational. A Toyota. If you prefer a carbureted Harley Davidson, a Jeep Wrangler, an Audi A6, or a vintage Alfa Romeo Spider, this fragrance won’t say anything to you. It’s very good, very rational, very serious, very formal, very ‘should-be’… too much.

My cousin gave me this perfume for my birthday—a great discovery. The first time I tried it, I immediately smelled aftershave; that’s what Eternity smells like: masculinity, elegance, and cleanliness. Being very young at the time, I didn’t find it outdated or passé at all. I like it and enjoy wearing it. Performance is solid—easily 6 hours on skin—and the sillage is average. Good fragrance, great value. I recommend giving it a try.

This was my first expensive perfume when I was 13 or 14, back around 1990-91. I remember it fondly because a cousin who came from the USA to Mexico left me a full, untouched bottle. I used it quite a bit, but it was my second expensive perfume, OBSESSION FOR MEN from the same brand, that really sealed the deal and became my life’s fragrance. Now, at almost 50, I wouldn’t wear Eternity again, even if it were a gift; it feels heavy, jarring, super generic without personality, and pretty annoying to me now. It brings back nice memories of my adolescence and high school, but unlike its brother OBSESSION FOR MEN, which remains a holy cow in perfumery and a totem of mystical beauty.

Without a doubt, one of those iconic nineties powerhouses that’s still perfect for a summer day. It makes you feel fresh and clean, even if you’ve been sweating under the sun. I bought it for the first time in 2006 and remember it being oilier and thicker. Maybe the reformulations resulted in a more liquid EDT.
molletmod.73
To me, Eternity EDT always seemed like a conservative, boring, dad-like scent—fresh without being ozonic or a citrus with a spark for summer. I still see it that way today, but I notice its aroma is too generic, known by everyone, somewhat old-fashioned, even leaning vulgar without actually being so (this was never a drugstore bargain), smelling of cheap geraniol, with ridiculous longevity; after 20 minutes, you can’t even smell it, not even close to the skin, and it’s weaker than a Mimosin punch. Reformulated down? Probably, but hey, even the old batches from the 90s that I knew didn’t last or project much—max 4-5 hours. Personally, I’m done wasting time hunting for vintage batches like a madman. Any compliments? Not on your life. This scent is totally unisex now; the masculine side is what a Presbyterian minister would have. The good thing is the price; it’s not very expensive. If you really like it, go straight for the EDP version—it smells better, more modern, and you’ll get at least 4-5 hours out of it. And if not, grab any of the 100,000 designer fragrances currently on the market at the same or better price.

Perfection, masculinity, elegance, presence—similar to Banana Republic for Men but with better longevity and style. I’ll keep buying it until I move on.

A classic fragrance: citrusy, herbal, fresh, reflecting a neat, determined man who knows what he wants. I owned it as a teenager and thought it was too refined and strong for my age. Now, at 30, it’s an excellent choice for formal dates or tie-wearing events. It reminds me a lot of Chanel Platinum Egoiste. I’d buy it again just as a pleasant reminder of my first perfumes and for collection purposes, since it has been slightly reformulated.
encefalonauta22
Honestly, I understand all the comments; this fragrance is essential in any collection. It’s eternal love.
